Proverbs 5
1 My sonne, hearken vnto my wisedome, and incline thine eare vnto my knowledge.
എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞേ, എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, ഉൾക്കാഴ്ചനിറഞ്ഞ എന്റെ സൂക്തങ്ങൾക്കു ചെവിചായ്‌ക്കുക,
2 That thou maiest regarde counsell, and thy lippes obserue knowledge.
അങ്ങനെ നീ വിവേചനശക്തി നിലനിർത്തുകയും നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
3 For the lippes of a strange woman drop as an honie combe, and her mouth is more soft then oyle.
വ്യഭിചാരിണിയുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ തേൻ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു, അവളുടെ ഭാഷണം എണ്ണയെക്കാൾ മൃദുവാകുന്നു;
4 But the end of her is bitter as wormewood, and sharpe as a two edged sworde.
എന്നാൽ ഒടുവിൽ അവൾ കാഞ്ഞിരംപോലെ കയ്‌പുള്ളവളും ഇരുവായ്ത്തലയുള്ള വാളുപോലെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ളവളും ആയിത്തീരുന്നു.
അവളുടെ കാലടികൾ പാതാളത്തിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവളുടെ ചുവടുകൾ നേരേ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്നു. (Sheol h7585)
6 She weigheth not the way of life: her paths are moueable: thou canst not knowe them.
ജീവന്റെ വഴി അവൾ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതേയില്ല; അവളുടെ പാത ലക്ഷ്യമില്ലാതെ അലയുന്നത്, അവൾ അത് അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
7 Heare yee me nowe therefore, O children, and depart not from the wordes of my mouth.
അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, എന്നെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക; എന്റെ മൊഴികളിൽനിന്ന് ഒരിക്കലും വ്യതിചലിക്കരുത്.
8 Keepe thy way farre from her, and come not neere the doore of her house,
നീ അവളിൽനിന്നും അകന്നിരിക്കുക, അവളുടെ വീട്ടുവാതിലിനോടു നീ സമീപിക്കരുത്,
9 Least thou giue thine honor vnto others, and thy yeeres to the cruell:
നിന്റെ ഊർജസ്വലത മറ്റുള്ളവർക്കായി നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്താതിരിക്കുക നിന്റെ കുലീനത ക്രൂരരായവർക്ക് അടിയറവുവെക്കരുത്,
10 Least the stranger should be silled with thy strength, and thy labours bee in the house of a stranger,
അന്യർ നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തുകൊണ്ട് ആഘോഷിക്കുകയും നിന്റെ കഠിനാധ്വാനം അന്യഭവനത്തെ സമ്പന്നമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
11 And thou mourne at thine end, (when thou hast consumed thy flesh and thy bodie)
നിന്റെ ജീവിതാന്ത്യത്തിൽ നീ ഞരങ്ങും, നിന്റെ മാംസവും ശരീരവും ക്ഷയിക്കുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ.
12 And say, How haue I hated instruction, and mine heart despised correction!
അപ്പോൾ നീ പറയും, “ശിക്ഷണത്തെ ഞാൻ എത്രമാത്രം വെറുത്തു! എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ശാസനയെ എങ്ങനെയെല്ലാം തിരസ്കരിച്ചു!
13 And haue not obeied the voyce of them that taught mee, nor enclined mine eare to them that instructed me!
ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഗുരുക്കന്മാരെ അനുസരിച്ചില്ല എന്റെ പ്രബോധകരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.
14 I was almost brought into all euil in ye mids of the Congregation and assemblie.
ദൈവജനത്തിന്റെ സഭാമധ്യേ ഞാൻ സമ്പൂർണ നാശത്തിന്റെ വക്കിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.”
15 Drinke the water of thy cisterne, and of the riuers out of the middes of thine owne well.
നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം ജലസംഭരണിയിൽനിന്ന് പാനംചെയ്യുക, നിന്റെ കിണറ്റിൽനിന്നുള്ള വെള്ളംമാത്രം കുടിക്കുക.
16 Let thy fountaines flow foorth, and the riuers of waters in the streetes.
നിന്റെ നീരുറവകൾ തെരുവോരങ്ങളിലേക്കു കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകണമോ, നിന്റെ അരുവികൾ ചത്വരങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഒഴുക്കണമോ?
17 But let them bee thine, euen thine onely, and not the strangers with thee.
അതു നിന്റേതുമാത്രമായിരിക്കട്ടെ, ഒരിക്കലും അത് അന്യരുമായി പങ്കിടാനുള്ളതല്ല.
18 Let thy fountaine be blessed, and reioyce with the wife of thy youth.
നിന്റെ ജലധാര അനുഗൃഹീതമാകട്ടെ, നിന്റെ യൗവനത്തിലെ ധർമപത്നിയുമൊത്ത് ആനന്ദിക്കുക.
19 Let her be as the louing hinde and pleasant roe: let her brests satisfie thee at all times, and delite in her loue continually.
അവൾ അനുരാഗിയായ മാൻപേട, അതേ അഴകാർന്ന മാനിനും തുല്യം— അവളുടെ മാറിടം എപ്പോഴും നിന്നെ തൃപ്തനാക്കട്ടെ, അവളുടെ പ്രേമത്താൽ നീ എപ്പോഴും ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവനായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
20 For why shouldest thou delite, my sonne, in a strange woman, or embrace the bosome of a stranger?
എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞേ, അന്യപുരുഷന്റെ ഭാര്യയെക്കണ്ടു നീ ഉന്മത്തനായിത്തീരുന്നത് എന്തിന്? ലൈംഗികധാർമികതയില്ലാത്തവളുടെ മാറിടം പുണരുന്നതും എന്തിന്?
21 For the waies of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his pathes.
ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സൂക്ഷ്മനിരീക്ഷണത്തിലാണ്, അവരുടെ വഴികളെല്ലാം അവിടന്നു പരിശോധിക്കുന്നു.
22 His owne iniquities shall take the wicked himselfe, and he shall be holden with the cordes of his owne sinne.
ദുഷ്ടരുടെ അപരാധങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവരെ കെണിയിൽപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ പാപച്ചരടുകൾതന്നെ അവരെ ബന്ധനസ്ഥരാക്കുന്നു.
23 Hee shall die for fault of instruction, and shall goe astray through his great follie.
സ്വയനിയന്ത്രണമില്ലായ്കയാൽ അവർ മൃതിയടയുന്നു, മഹാഭോഷത്തത്താൽ അവർ വഴിപിഴച്ചുപോകുന്നു.
