Proverbs 4
1 Heare, O ye children, the instruction of a father, and giue eare to learne vnderstanding.
ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ತಂದೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಗಮನಕೊಡಿರಿ.
2 For I doe giue you a good doctrine: therefore forsake yee not my lawe.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸದುಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.
3 For I was my fathers sonne, tender and deare in the sight of my mother,
ನಾನೂ ಕೂಡ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ನೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಗನೂ ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದು ಮಗನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೆನು.
4 When he taught me, and sayde vnto me, Let thine heart holde fast my woordes: keepe my commandements, and thou shalt liue.
ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ನನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲಿಸು; ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳು, ಆಗ ನೀನು ಬಾಳುವೆ.
5 Get wisedom: get vnderstading: forget not, neither decline from the woordes of my mouth.
ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆ, ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸು; ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಯದಿರು, ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಬೇಡ.
6 Forsake her not, and shee shall keepe thee: loue her and shee shall preserue thee.
ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಡ, ಆಕೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವಳು; ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸು, ಆಕೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವಳು.
7 Wisedome is the beginning: get wisedome therefore: and aboue all thy possession get vnderstanding.
ಜ್ಞಾನವೇ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸು; ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ವ್ಯಯಮಾಡಿದರೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೋ.
8 Exalt her, and she shall exalt thee: she shall bring thee to honour, if thou embrace her.
ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸು, ಆಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆತ್ತುವಳು; ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊ, ಆಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸುವಳು.
9 She shall giue a comely ornamet vnto thine head, yea, she shall giue thee a crowne of glorie.
ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಗೆ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಕಿರೀಟವಾಗಿರುವಳು; ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಘನತೆಯ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವಳು.”
10 Heare, my sonne, and receiue my wordes, and the yeeres of thy life shalbe many.
ಮಗನೇ, ಆಲಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸು, ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವವು.
11 I haue taught thee in ye way of wisedom, and led thee in the pathes of righteousnesse.
ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕೊಡುವೆನು, ನೇರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡಿಸುವೆನು.
12 Whe thou goest, thy gate shall not be strait, and when thou runnest, thou shalt not fall.
ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗೆ ತಡೆಯಾಗದು; ನೀನು ಓಡುವಾಗ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸಿ ಬೀಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
13 Take holde of instruction, and leaue not: keepe her, for shee is thy life.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೋ, ಅದು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗದೆ ಇರಲಿ; ಸದುಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವವಾಗಿದೆ.
14 Enter not into the way of the wicked, and walke not in the way of euill men.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ದಾರಿಯೊಳಗೆ ನೀನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದಿರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹೋಗಬೇಡ.
15 Auoide it, and goe not by it: turne from it, and passe by.
ಆ ದಾರಿಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗು, ಅದರ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಬೇಡ; ಅದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆ.
16 For they can not sleepe, except they haue done euill, and their sleepe departeth except they cause some to fall.
ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಬಾರದು; ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಬೀಳಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಹತ್ತುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
17 For they eate the breade of wickednesse, and drinke the wine of violence.
ಅವರಿಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟತನವೇ ಆಹಾರ, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ.
18 But the way of the righteous shineth as the light, that shineth more and more vnto the perfite day.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತೆ ಇದ್ದು, ದಿನದ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಬೆಳಕಿನವರೆಗೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದು.
19 The way of the wicked is as the darkenes: they knowe not wherein they shall fall.
ಆದರೆ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಕಗ್ಗತ್ತಲಿನಂತಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಡವಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗದು.
20 My sonne, hearken vnto my wordes, incline thine eare vnto my sayings.
ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಗಮನಕೊಡು; ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes, but keepe them in the middes of thine heart.
ಆ ನುಡಿಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಹೋಗದಿರಲಿ; ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ.
22 For they are life vnto those that find them, and health vnto all their flesh.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಅವು ಜೀವವೂ, ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.
23 Keepe thine heart with all diligence: for thereout commeth life.
ಬಹು ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಜೀವಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತವೆ.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and put wicked lippes farre from thee.
ವಕ್ರಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸಿ; ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಿರಲಿ.
25 Let thine eyes beholde the right, and let thine eyelids direct thy way before thee.
ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ನೇರವಾಗಿಯೇ ನೋಡಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ನೋಟವು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ನಾಟಿರಲಿ.
26 Ponder the path of thy feete, and let all thy waies be ordred aright.
ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವ ದಾರಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಮನವಿರಲಿ; ನೀನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾದಿ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
27 Turne not to the right hande, nor to the left, but remooue thy foote from euill.
ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ, ಎಡಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ತಿರುಗಬೇಡ; ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ದೂರವಿರಲಿ.
