Proverbs 27
1 Boast not thy selfe of to morowe: for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Não se vanglorie do amanhã; pois você não sabe o que um dia pode trazer.
2 Let another man prayse thee, and not thine owne mouth: a stranger, and not thine owne lips.
Deixe que outro homem lhe elogie, e não a sua própria boca; um estranho, e não seus próprios lábios.
3 A stone is heauie, and the sand weightie: but a fooles wrath is heauier then them both.
Uma pedra é pesada, e a areia é um fardo; mas a provocação de um tolo é mais pesada do que ambas.
4 Anger is cruell, and wrath is raging: but who can stand before enuie?
A ira é cruel, e a raiva é avassaladora; mas quem é capaz de ficar diante dos ciúmes?
5 Open rebuke is better then secret loue.
Melhor é repreensão aberta do que o amor oculto.
6 The wounds of a louer are faithful, and the kisses of an enemie are pleasant.
As feridas de um amigo são fiéis, embora os beijos de um inimigo sejam profusos.
7 The person that is full, despiseth an hony combe: but vnto the hungry soule euery bitter thing is sweete.
Uma alma cheia odeia um favo de mel; mas, para uma alma faminta, tudo o que é amargo é doce.
8 As a bird that wandreth from her nest, so is a man that wandreth from his owne place.
Como uma ave que vagueia de seu ninho, assim é um homem que vagueia de sua casa.
9 As oyntment and perfume reioyce the heart, so doeth the sweetenes of a mans friend by hearty counsell.
O perfume e o incenso trazem alegria ao coração; assim como o conselho sincero de um amigo de um homem.
10 Thine owne friend and thy fathers friend forsake thou not: neither enter into thy brothers house in the day of thy calamitie: for better is a neighbour that is neere, then a brother farre off.
Não abandone seu amigo e o amigo de seu pai. Não vá para a casa de seu irmão no dia do seu desastre. Um vizinho que está próximo é melhor que um irmão distante.
11 My sonne, be wise, and reioyce mine heart, that I may answere him that reprocheth me.
Seja sábio, meu filho, e trazer alegria ao meu coração, então eu posso responder ao meu atormentador.
12 A prudent man seeth the plague, and hideth himselfe: but the foolish goe on still, and are punished.
Um homem prudente vê o perigo e se refugia; mas o simples passar adiante, e sofrer por ele.
13 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and a pledge of him for the stranger.
Pegue sua peça de vestuário quando ele coloca uma garantia para um estranho. Segurem-na para uma mulher voluntariosa!
14 He that prayseth his friend with a loude voyce, rising earely in the morning, it shall be counted to him as a curse.
Aquele que abençoa seu vizinho com uma voz alta no início da manhã, será tomado como uma maldição por ele.
15 A continual dropping in the day of raine, and a contentious woman are alike.
Uma queda contínua em um dia chuvoso e uma esposa litigiosa são parecidas:
16 He that hideth her, hideth the winde, and she is as ye oyle in his right hand, that vttereth it selfe.
restraining ela é como conter o vento, ou como agarrar óleo em sua mão direita.
17 Yron sharpeneth yron, so doeth man sharpen the face of his friend.
O ferro afia o ferro; assim um homem aguça o semblante de seu amigo.
18 He that keepeth the fig tree, shall eate the fruite thereof: so he that waiteth vpon his master, shall come to honour.
Quem cuida da figueira deve comer seus frutos. Aquele que cuida de seu mestre será homenageado.
19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
Como a água reflete um rosto, assim o coração de um homem reflete o homem.
20 The graue and destruction can neuer be full, so the eyes of man can neuer be satisfied. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol e Abaddon nunca estão satisfeitos; e os olhos de um homem nunca estão satisfeitos. (Sheol h7585)
21 As is the fining pot for siluer and the fornace for golde, so is euery man according to his dignitie.
O cadinho é para a prata, e a fornalha de ouro; mas o homem é refinado por seus elogios.
22 Though thou shouldest bray a foole in a morter among wheate brayed with a pestell, yet will not his foolishnes depart from him.
Embora você moa um tolo em um almofariz com um pilão junto com o grão, no entanto, sua tolice não será removida dele.
23 Be diligent to know ye state of thy flocke, and take heede to the heardes.
Conheça bem o estado de seus rebanhos, e preste atenção a seus rebanhos,
24 For riches remaine not alway, nor the crowne from generation to generation.
para as riquezas não são para sempre, nem a coroa dura para todas as gerações.
25 The hey discouereth it selfe, and the grasse appeareth, and the herbes of the mountaines are gathered.
O feno é removido, e o novo crescimento aparece, as gramíneas das colinas estão reunidas.
26 The lambes are for thy clothing, and the goates are the price of the fielde.
Os cordeiros são para suas roupas, e os caprinos são o preço de um campo.
27 And let the milke of the goates be sufficient for thy foode, for the foode of thy familie, and for the sustenance of thy maydes.
There será muito leite de cabra para sua alimentação, para a alimentação de sua família, e para a alimentação de suas moças serviçais.
