< Proverbs 18 >

1 For the desire thereof hee will separate himselfe to seeke it, and occupie himselfe in all wisdome.
Moyimi alukaka kaka kosepelisa baposa na ye, atelemelaka bososoli nyonso.
2 A foole hath no delite in vnderstanding: but that his heart may be discouered.
Moto oyo azangi mayele asepelaka te kozwa tango ya kokanisa, kasi asepelaka kaka kotalisa makanisi ya motema na ye.
3 When the wicked commeth, then commeth contempt, and with the vile man reproch.
Soki moto mabe ayei, kotiola mpe eyaka; soki soni eyei, kofinga mpe eyaka.
4 The words of a mans mouth are like deepe waters, and the welspring of wisdome is like a flowing riuer.
Maloba ya monoko ya moto ezalaka lokola mayi ya mozindo; etima ya bwanya ezalaka lokola mayi ya ebale oyo etondi makasi.
5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to cause ye righteous to fall in iudgement.
Ezali malamu te kolongisa moto mabe mpe kokweyisa moyengebene, kati na kosambisama.
6 A fooles lips come with strife, and his mouth calleth for stripes.
Bibebu ya moto oyo azangi mayele eyeisaka koswana, mpe monoko na ye eyeisaka fimbu.
7 A fooles mouth is his owne destruction, and his lips are a snare for his soule.
Monoko ya moto oyo azangi mayele ememelaka ye kufa, mpe bibebu na ye ezalaka motambo mpo na molimo na ye moko.
8 The wordes of a tale bearer are as flatterings, and they goe downe into the bowels of the belly.
Maloba ya moto ya songisongi ezalaka lokola bilei ya kitoko, ekitaka na esengo kino na libumu.
9 He also that is slouthfull in his worke, is euen the brother of him that is a great waster.
Moto oyo azongaka sima na mosala na ye azali ndeko ya mobebisi.
10 The Name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth vnto it, and is exalted.
Kombo ya Yawe ezali lokola ndako molayi batonga makasi; moyengebene akimelaka kuna mpe azwaka ebombamelo ya makasi.
11 The rich mans riches are his strong citie: and as an hie wall in his imagination.
Bomengo ya mozwi ezali engumba na ye, oyo batonga makasi; akanisaka ete ezali lokola mir ya molayi.
12 Before destruction the heart of a man is hautie, and before glory goeth lowlines.
Liboso ete moto akweya, motema na ye ekomaka na lolendo; kasi komikitisa eyaka liboso ya nkembo.
13 He that answereth a matter before hee heare it, it is folly and shame vnto him.
Kopesa eyano liboso ya koyoka ezali liboma mpe bozoba.
14 The spirit of a man will susteine his infirmitie: but a wounded spirit who can beare it?
Kimia kati na motema elendisaka moto na tango ya bokono, kasi nani akokoka kolendisa motema oyo etutami?
15 A wise heart getteth knowledge, and the eare of the wise seeketh learning.
Motema ya moto ya mayele ezwaka mayele, mpe litoyi ya moto ya bwanya elukaka boyebi.
16 A mans gift enlargeth him, and leadeth him before great men.
Kado efungolelaka moto oyo apesi yango nzela mpe ekotisaka ye liboso ya bato minene.
17 He that is first in his owne cause, is iust: then commeth his neighbour, and maketh inquirie of him.
Moto ya liboso na kosamba amonanaka lokola nde alongi; kasi soki moto oyo azali kosamba na ye ayei, akotelemela ye.
18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and maketh a partition among the mightie.
Zeke esilisaka koswana mpe ekataka makambo kati na bato ya makasi.
19 A brother offended is harder to winne then a strong citie, and their contentions are like the barre of a palace.
Kokota lisusu na motema ya ndeko oyo osali mabe ezalaka pasi koleka kokota na engumba batonga makasi; mpe koswana na moto ezali lokola kokanga bikuke ya ndako batonga makasi na bibende ya minene.
20 With the fruite of a mans mouth shall his belly be satisfied, and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Moto atondisaka libumu na ye na nzela ya mbuma ya monoko na ye mpe akotonda na lifuti ya bibebu na ye.
21 Death and life are in the power of ye tongue, and they that loue it, shall eate the fruite thereof.
Kufa mpe bomoi ezali na se ya nguya ya lolemo; moto oyo alingaka lolemo akolia mbuma na yango.
22 He that findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and receiueth fauour of the Lord.
Mobali oyo azwi mwasi ya malamu azwi bomengo, azwi ngolu kowuta epai na Yawe.
23 The poore speaketh with prayers: but the rich answereth roughly.
Mobola alobaka na mongongo ya kobondela, kasi mozwi azongisaka eyano na lolendo.
24 A man that hath friends, ought to shew him selfe friendly: for a friend is neerer then a brother.
Moto oyo azalaka na balingami ebele amitiaka na pasi, kasi ezali na molingami moko ya motema, oyo aleki ata ndeko.
