Proverbs 16
1 The preparations of the heart are in man: but the answere of the tongue is of the Lord.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು, ಆದರೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಬರುವವು.
2 All the wayes of a man are cleane in his owne eyes: but the Lord pondereth the spirits.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ, ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
3 Commit thy workes vnto the Lord, and thy thoughts shalbe directed.
ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸು, ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗುವುವು.
4 The Lord hath made all things for his owne sake: yea, euen the wicked for the day of euill.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅದರದೇ ಆದ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೌದು, ಕೇಡಿನ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಡುಕರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
5 All that are proude in heart, are an abomination to the Lord: though hand ioyne in hand, he shall not be vnpunished.
ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠನಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ. ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ತಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
6 By mercy and trueth iniquitie shalbe forgiuen, and by the feare of the Lord they depart from euill.
ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ತೊಲಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
7 When the wayes of a man please the Lord, he will make also his enemies at peace with him.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
8 Better is a litle with righteousnesse, then great reuenues without equitie.
ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆದಾಯಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ನೀತಿಯೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಉತ್ತಮ.
9 The heart of man purposeth his way: but the Lord doeth direct his steppes.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
10 A diuine sentence shalbe in the lips of the King: his mouth shall not transgresse in iudgement.
ಅರಸನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿ. ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ದೋಷ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
11 A true weight and balance are of the Lord: all the weightes of the bagge are his worke.
ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತೂಕವೂ ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರದೇ. ಚೀಲದ ತೂಕಗಳು ಅವರ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವೇ.
12 It is an abomination to Kings to commit wickednes: for the throne is stablished by iustice.
ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರು ರಾಜರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
13 Righteous lips are the delite of Kings, and the King loueth him that speaketh right things.
ನೀತಿಯ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸರು ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
14 The wrath of a King is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacifie it.
ಅರಸನ ಕೋಪವು ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ದೂತರಂತೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಶಮನಪಡಿಸುವನು.
15 In the light of the Kings coutenance is life: and his fauour is as a cloude of the latter raine.
ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ ಅರಸನ ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವ, ಅವನ ದಯೆಯು ಹಿಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಯ ಮೇಘದಂತಿದೆ.
16 Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.
ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮೇಲು! ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗಿಂತ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಉತ್ತಮ.
17 The pathe of the righteous is to decline from euil, and hee keepeth his soule, that keepeth his way.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ಬಹುದೂರ. ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an high minde before the fall.
ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಗರ್ವ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಬೀಳುವಿಕೆಯ ಮುಂಚೆ ಜಂಬದ ಆತ್ಮ.
19 Better it is to be of humble minde with the lowly, then to deuide the spoyles with the proude.
ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ದೀನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೀನ ಆತ್ಮವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಇರುವುದು ಉತ್ತಮ.
20 He that is wise in his busines, shall finde good: and he that trusteth in the Lord, he is blessed.
ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸುವವನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು.
21 The wise in heart shall bee called prudent: and the sweetenesse of the lippes shall increase doctrine.
ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರು ವಿವೇಚನೆಯುಳ್ಳವರು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವರು. ತುಟಿಗಳ ಮಾಧುರ್ಯ ಮನವೊಲಿಸುವವು.
22 Vnderstading is welspring of life vnto them that haue it: and the instruction of fooles is folly.
ವಿವೇಕವು ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜೀವನದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ, ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವು ಮೂರ್ಖರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತದೆ.
23 The heart of the wise guideth his mouth wisely, and addeth doctrine to his lippes.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಜಾಣತನವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು.
24 Faire wordes are as an hony combe, sweetenesse to the soule, and health to the bones.
ವಿನಯದ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಜೇನುಗೂಡು ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮಧುರವೂ, ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.
25 There is a way that seemeth right vnto man: but the issue thereof are the wayes of death.
ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ತೋರುವ ಒಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗ ಉಂಟು, ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಮರಣದ ಮಾರ್ಗವೇ.
26 The person that traueileth, traueileth for himselfe: for his mouth craueth it of him.
ದುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಹಸಿವೇ ದುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಅವನ ಹಸಿವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡುವುದು.
27 A wicked man diggeth vp euill, and in his lippes is like burning fire.
ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನನು ಕೇಡಿನ ಕುಣಿ ಅಗೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಂತಿವೆ.
28 A frowarde person soweth strife: and a tale teller maketh diuision among princes.
ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಜಗಳವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
29 A wicked man deceiueth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯು ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
30 He shutteth his eyes to deuise wickednes: he moueth his lippes, and bringeth euil to passe.
ವಕ್ರಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಒಳಸಂಚುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
31 Age is a crowne of glory, when it is founde in the way of righteousnes.
ನರೆಗೂದಲು ಉಜ್ವಲ ಕಿರೀಟ, ಅದು ನೀತಿಯ ಜೀವಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒದಗುತ್ತದೆ.
32 He that is slowe vnto anger, is better then the mightie man: and hee that ruleth his owne minde, is better then he that winneth a citie.
ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನು ಶೂರರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಆಳುವವನು, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮನು.
33 The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposition thereof is of the Lord.
ಉಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ತೀರ್ಪು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರದ್ದೇ.
