Proverbs 15
1 A soft answere putteth away wrath: but grieuous wordes stirre vp anger.
La amable respuesta aplaca la ira, Pero la palabra hiriente aumenta el furor.
2 The tongue of the wise vseth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fooles babbleth out foolishnesse.
La lengua de los sabios hace aceptable el conocimiento, La boca de los necios expresa insensatez.
3 The eyes of the Lord in euery place beholde the euill and the good.
Los ojos de Yavé están en todo lugar, Y observan a malos y a buenos.
4 A wholesome tongue is as a tree of life: but the frowardnes therof is the breaking of ye minde.
Árbol de vida es la boca apacible, Pero la perversa es quebrantamiento de espíritu.
5 A foole despiseth his fathers instruction: but he that regardeth correction, is prudent.
El necio desprecia el consejo de su padre, Pero el que acepta la corrección es sagaz.
6 The house of the righteous hath much treasure: but in the reuenues of the wicked is trouble.
En la casa del justo hay gran riqueza, Pero en las ganancias del perverso hay aflicción.
7 The lippes of the wise doe spread abroade knowledge: but ye heart of the foolish doth not so.
Los labios de los sabios esparcen conocimiento, No así el corazón de los necios.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the righteous is acceptable vnto him.
Repugnancia a Yavé es el sacrificio de los perversos, Pero la oración de los rectos es su deleite.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination vnto the Lord: but he loueth him that followeth righteousnes.
Repugnancia a Yavé es el camino del perverso, Pero Él ama al que sigue la justicia.
10 Instruction is euill to him that forsaketh the way, and he that hateth correction, shall die.
La disciplina molesta al que abandona el camino. El que aborrece la corrección morirá.
11 Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the hearts of the sonnes of men? (Sheol h7585)
El Seol y el Abadón están delante de Yavé, ¡Cuánto más los corazones de los hijos de hombres! (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner loueth not him that rebuketh him, neither will he goe vnto the wise.
El escarnecedor no ama al que lo reprende, Ni busca a los sabios.
13 A ioyfull heart maketh a chearefull countenance: but by the sorow of the heart the minde is heauie.
Un corazón alegre hermosea el rostro, Pero el dolor del corazón abate el ánimo.
14 The heart of him that hath vnderstanding, seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of the foole is fedde with foolishnes.
El corazón entendido busca el conocimiento, Pero la boca de los necios se apacienta de la insensatez.
15 All the dayes of the afflicted are euill: but a good conscience is a continuall feast.
Todos los días del afligido son difíciles, Pero el de corazón alegre [tiene] un banquete continuo.
16 Better is a litle with the feare of the Lord, then great treasure, and trouble therewith.
Más vale poco con el temor a Yavé, Que grandes tesoros con tumulto.
17 Better is a dinner of greene herbes where loue is, then a stalled oxe and hatred therewith.
Mejor es ración de legumbres donde hay amor, Que buey engordado donde hay rencor.
18 An angrie man stirreth vp strife: but hee that is slowe to wrath, appeaseth strife.
El hombre iracundo provoca contiendas, Pero el lento para la ira apacigua la rencilla.
19 The way of a slouthfull man is as an hedge of thornes: but the way of the righteous is plaine.
El camino del perezoso es como un cercado de espinos, Pero la senda de los rectos es llana.
20 A wise sonne reioyceth the father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
El hijo sabio alegra al padre, Pero el hombre necio menosprecia a su madre.
21 Foolishnes is ioy to him that is destitute of vnderstanding: but a man of vnderstanding walketh vprightly.
La necedad divierte al falto de entendimiento, Pero el hombre prudente endereza su andar.
22 Without cousel thoughts come to nought: but in the multitude of counsellers there is stedfastnesse.
Sin consulta, los planes se frustran, Pero tienen éxito con muchos consejeros.
23 A ioy commeth to a man by the answere of his mouth: and how good is a word in due season?
El hombre se alegra con la respuesta de su boca. ¡Cuán buena es la palabra oportuna!
El prudente sube por el camino de la vida, Que lo aparta de la bajada al Seol. (Sheol h7585)
25 The Lord will destroye the house of the proude men: but hee will stablish the borders of the widowe.
Yavé destruye la casa del soberbio, Pero afirma el lindero de la viuda.
26 The thoughts of ye wicked are abomination to the Lord: but the pure haue pleasant wordes.
Repugnancia a Yavé son los pensamientos del perverso, Pero las palabras de los puros le son placenteras.
27 He that is greedie of gaine, troubleth his owne house: but he that hateth giftes, shall liue.
El que aspira a ganancias deshonestas arruina su casa, Pero el que aborrece el soborno vivirá.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answere: but the wicked mans mouth babbleth euil thinges.
El corazón del justo medita la respuesta, Pero la boca del perverso derrama malas cosas.
29 The Lord is farre off from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
Yavé está lejos de los perversos, Pero escucha la oración de los justos.
30 The light of the eyes reioyceth the heart, and a good name maketh the bones fat.
La luz de los ojos alegra el corazón, Y una buena noticia nutre los huesos.
31 The eare that hearkeneth to the correction of life, shall lodge among the wise.
Oído que escucha sana reprensión, Vivirá entre los sabios.
32 Hee that refuseth instruction, despiseth his owne soule: but he that obeyeth correction, getteth vnderstanding.
El que rechaza la corrección menosprecia su vida, El que escucha la amonestación adquiere entendimiento.
33 The feare of the Lord is the instruction of wisdome: and before honour, goeth humilitie.
El temor a Yavé es escuela de sabiduría, Y antes del honor está la humildad.
