Proverbs 15
1 A soft answere putteth away wrath: but grieuous wordes stirre vp anger.
Uma resposta gentil afasta a ira, mas uma palavra dura desperta a raiva.
2 The tongue of the wise vseth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fooles babbleth out foolishnesse.
A língua dos sábios elogia o conhecimento, mas as bocas dos tolos jorram de insensatez.
3 The eyes of the Lord in euery place beholde the euill and the good.
Os olhos de Yahweh estão em toda parte, vigiando o mal e o bem.
4 A wholesome tongue is as a tree of life: but the frowardnes therof is the breaking of ye minde.
Uma língua suave é uma árvore da vida, mas o engano nele esmaga o espírito.
5 A foole despiseth his fathers instruction: but he that regardeth correction, is prudent.
Um tolo despreza a correção de seu pai, mas aquele que presta atenção à repreensão mostra prudência.
6 The house of the righteous hath much treasure: but in the reuenues of the wicked is trouble.
Na casa dos justos está um grande tesouro, mas a renda dos ímpios traz problemas.
7 The lippes of the wise doe spread abroade knowledge: but ye heart of the foolish doth not so.
Os lábios dos sábios difundem o conhecimento; não com o coração dos tolos.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the righteous is acceptable vnto him.
O sacrifício feito pelos ímpios é uma abominação para Yahweh, mas a oração dos justos é o seu deleite.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination vnto the Lord: but he loueth him that followeth righteousnes.
O caminho dos ímpios é uma abominação para Javé, mas ele ama aquele que segue a retidão.
10 Instruction is euill to him that forsaketh the way, and he that hateth correction, shall die.
There é uma disciplina severa para aquele que abandona o caminho. Quem odiar a repreensão morrerá.
11 Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the hearts of the sonnes of men? (Sheol h7585)
Sheol e Abaddon estão perante Yahweh. quanto mais do que o coração dos filhos dos homens! (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner loueth not him that rebuketh him, neither will he goe vnto the wise.
Um escarnecedor não gosta de ser reprovado; ele não irá ao sábio.
13 A ioyfull heart maketh a chearefull countenance: but by the sorow of the heart the minde is heauie.
Um coração alegre faz um rosto alegre, mas um coração dolorido quebra o espírito.
14 The heart of him that hath vnderstanding, seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of the foole is fedde with foolishnes.
O coração de quem tem entendimento busca o conhecimento, mas as bocas dos tolos se alimentam de loucuras.
15 All the dayes of the afflicted are euill: but a good conscience is a continuall feast.
Todos os dias dos aflitos são infelizes, mas aquele que tem um coração alegre desfruta de uma festa contínua.
16 Better is a litle with the feare of the Lord, then great treasure, and trouble therewith.
Melhor é pouco, com o medo de Yahweh, do que um grande tesouro com problemas.
17 Better is a dinner of greene herbes where loue is, then a stalled oxe and hatred therewith.
Melhor é um jantar de ervas, onde está o amor, do que um bezerro engordado com ódio.
18 An angrie man stirreth vp strife: but hee that is slowe to wrath, appeaseth strife.
Um homem irado agita a contenda, mas aquele que é lento para a raiva apazigua os conflitos.
19 The way of a slouthfull man is as an hedge of thornes: but the way of the righteous is plaine.
O caminho do preguiçoso é como um espinhaço, mas o caminho da vertical é uma rodovia.
20 A wise sonne reioyceth the father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
Um filho sábio faz um pai feliz, mas um homem insensato despreza sua mãe.
21 Foolishnes is ioy to him that is destitute of vnderstanding: but a man of vnderstanding walketh vprightly.
A loucura é alegria para aquele que não tem sabedoria, mas um homem de entendimento mantém seu caminho reto.
22 Without cousel thoughts come to nought: but in the multitude of counsellers there is stedfastnesse.
Where não há conselhos, os planos falham; mas em uma multidão de conselheiros, eles são estabelecidos.
23 A ioy commeth to a man by the answere of his mouth: and how good is a word in due season?
A alegria chega a um homem com a resposta de sua boca. Como uma palavra é boa na hora certa!
O caminho da vida leva para cima para os sábios, para impedi-lo de ir para baixo para o Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
25 The Lord will destroye the house of the proude men: but hee will stablish the borders of the widowe.
Yahweh vai desarraigar a casa dos orgulhosos, mas ele manterá as bordas da viúva intactas.
26 The thoughts of ye wicked are abomination to the Lord: but the pure haue pleasant wordes.
Yahweh detesta os pensamentos dos ímpios, mas os pensamentos dos puros são agradáveis.
27 He that is greedie of gaine, troubleth his owne house: but he that hateth giftes, shall liue.
Aquele que é ganancioso para ganhar problemas em sua própria casa, mas aquele que odeia subornos viverá.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answere: but the wicked mans mouth babbleth euil thinges.
O coração dos justos pesa as respostas, mas a boca dos malvados jorra o mal.
29 The Lord is farre off from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
Yahweh está longe dos ímpios, mas ele ouve a oração dos justos.
30 The light of the eyes reioyceth the heart, and a good name maketh the bones fat.
A luz dos olhos regozija o coração. As boas notícias dão saúde aos ossos.
31 The eare that hearkeneth to the correction of life, shall lodge among the wise.
O ouvido que ouve a repreensão de vidas, e estará em casa entre os sábios.
32 Hee that refuseth instruction, despiseth his owne soule: but he that obeyeth correction, getteth vnderstanding.
Aquele que recusa a correção despreza sua própria alma, mas aquele que ouve a repreensão, consegue compreensão.
33 The feare of the Lord is the instruction of wisdome: and before honour, goeth humilitie.
O medo de Yahweh ensina sabedoria. Diante da honra está a humildade.
