Proverbs 11
1 False balances are an abomination vnto the Lord: but a perfite weight pleaseth him.
১যে দাঁড়িপাল্লা সঠিক নয় সেটা সদাপ্রভু ঘৃণা করেন; কিন্তু সঠিক ওজনে তিনি সন্তুষ্ট হন।
2 When pride commeth, then commeth shame: but with the lowly is wisdome.
২অহঙ্কার আসলে অপমানও আসে; কিন্তু মানবিকতার সঙ্গে প্রজ্ঞা আসে।
3 The vprightnes of the iust shall guide them: but the frowardnes of the transgressers shall destroy them.
৩সরলদের ন্যায়পরায়ণতা তাদেরকে পথ দেখাবে; কিন্তু বিশ্বাসঘাতকদের বক্রতা তাদেরকে নষ্ট করবে।
4 Riches auaile not in the day of wrath: but righteousnes deliuereth from death.
৪ক্রোধের দিনের ধন উপকার করে না; কিন্তু ধার্ম্মিকতা মৃত্যু থেকে রক্ষা করে।
5 The righteousnes of the vpright shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall in his owne wickednes.
৫নির্দোষ লোকের ধার্ম্মিকতা তার পথ সোজা করে; কিন্তু দুষ্ট নিজের দুষ্টতায় পড়ে যায়।
6 The righteousnesse of the iust shall deliuer them: but the transgressers shall be taken in their owne wickednes.
৬যারা ধার্ম্মিকতায় ঈশ্বরকে সন্তুষ্ট করে তাদেরকে রক্ষা করে; কিন্তু বিশ্বাসঘাতকেরা তাদের অভিলাষে ধরা পড়ে।
7 When a wicked man dieth, his hope perisheth, and the hope of the vniust shall perish.
৭যখন দুষ্ট লোক মারা যায়, তার আশ্বাস নষ্ট হয় এবং অধর্ম্মের প্রত্যাশা বিনাশ পায়।
8 The righteous escapeth out of trouble, and the wicked shall come in his steade.
৮ধার্মিক বিপদ থেকে উদ্ধার পায়, আর দুষ্ট তার জায়গায় আসে।
9 An hypocrite with his mouth hurteth his neighbour: but the righteous shall be deliuered by knowledge.
৯তার মুখের মাধ্যমে অধার্ম্মিক নিজের প্রতিবেশীকে নষ্ট করে; কিন্তু জ্ঞানের মাধ্যমে ধার্মিকরা উদ্ধার পায়।
10 In the prosperitie of the righteous the citie reioyceth, and when the wicked perish, there is ioye.
১০ধার্ম্মিকদের উন্নতি হলে নগরে আনন্দ হয়; দুষ্টদের বিনাশ হলে আনন্দগান হয়।
11 By the blessing of the righteous, the citie is exalted: but it is subuerted by the mouth of the wicked.
১১সরলদের আশীর্বাদে নগর উন্নত হয়; কিন্তু দুষ্টদের বাক্যে তা বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়।
12 He that despiseth his neighbour, is destitute of wisedome: but a man of vnderstanding will keepe silence.
১২যে প্রতিবেশীকে অবজ্ঞা করে, সে বুদ্ধিবিহীন; কিন্তু বুদ্ধিমান নীরব হয়ে থাকে।
13 Hee that goeth about as a slanderer, discouereth a secret: but hee that is of a faithfull heart concealeth a matter.
১৩পরচর্চা গোপন কথা প্রকাশ করে; কিন্তু যে বিশ্বস্ত লোক, সে কথা গোপন করে।
14 Where no counsell is, the people fall: but where many counsellers are, there is health.
১৪সুমন্ত্রণার অভাবে প্রজালোক পড়ে যায়; কিন্তু পরামর্শকারী উপদেষ্টার মাধ্যমে নিরাপত্তা আসে।
15 Hee shall be sore vexed, that is suretie for a stranger, and he that hateth suretiship, is sure.
১৫যে অপরের জামিন হয়, সে নিশ্চয় কষ্ট পায়; কিন্তু যে জামিনের কাজ ঘৃণা করে, সে নিরাপদ।
16 A gracious woman atteineth honour, and the strong men atteine riches.
১৬করুণাময়ী স্ত্রী সম্মান ধরে রাখে, আর নিষ্ঠুর মানুষেরা ধন ধরে রাখে।
17 Hee that is mercifull, rewardeth his owne soule: but he that troubleth his own flesh, is cruel.
১৭দয়ালু নিজের প্রাণের উপকার করে; কিন্তু নির্দয় নিজেকে ক্ষতি করে।
18 The wicked worketh a deceitful worke: but hee that soweth righteousnes, shall receiue a sure rewarde.
১৮দুষ্ট মিথ্যা বেতন উপার্জন করে; কিন্তু যে ধার্মিকতার বীজ বুনে, সে সত্য বেতন পায়।
19 As righteousnes leadeth to life: so hee that followeth euill, seeketh his owne death.
১৯যে ধার্ম্মিকতায় অটল, সে জীবন পায়; কিন্তু যে দুষ্টতার পিছনে দৌড়ে, সে মারা যায়।
20 They that are of a froward heart, are abomination to the Lord: but they that are vpright in their way, are his delite.
২০সদাপ্রভু তাদেরকে ঘৃণা করেন যাদের হৃদয় বিপথগামী; কিন্তু যারা নিজের পথে নিখুঁত, তারা তাঁর তুষ্টিকর।
21 Though hande ioyne in hande, the wicked shall not be vnpunished: but the seede of the righteous shall escape.
২১এটা নিশ্চিত যে দুষ্ট অদন্ডিত থাকবে না; কিন্তু ধার্ম্মিকদের বংশ রক্ষা পাবে।
22 As a iewell of golde in a swines snoute: so is a faire woman, which lacketh discretion.
২২যেমন শূকরের নাকে সোনার নথ, তেমনি বিচক্ষণতাহীন সুন্দরী স্ত্রী।
23 The desire of the righteous is onely good: but the hope of the wicked is indignation.
২৩ধার্ম্মিকদের মনের ইচ্ছা কেবল উত্তম, কিন্তু দুষ্টদের প্রত্যাশা ক্রোধমাত্র।
24 There is that scattereth, and is more increased: but hee that spareth more then is right, surely commeth to pouertie.
২৪কেউ কেউ বিতরণ করে আরও বৃদ্ধি পায়; কেউ কেউ বা ন্যায্য ব্যয় অস্বীকার করে কেবল অভাবে পড়ে।
25 The liberall person shall haue plentie: and he that watereth, shall also haue raine.
২৫দানশীল ব্যক্তি উন্নতিলাভ করে, জল-সেচনকারী নিজেও জলে ভেজে।
26 He that withdraweth the corne, the people will curse him: but blessing shalbe vpon the head of him that selleth corne.
২৬যে শস্য আটক করে রাখে, লোকে তাকে শাপ দেয়; কিন্তু যে শস্য বিক্রি করে, তার মাথায় পুরষ্কার আসে।
27 He that seeketh good things, getteth fauour: but he that seeketh euill, it shall come to him.
২৭যে সযত্নে ভালো চেষ্টা করে, সে প্রীতির খোঁজ করে; কিন্তু যে অমঙ্গল খুঁজে বেড়ায়, তারই প্রতি তা ঘটে।
28 He that trusteth in his riches, shall fall: but the righteous shall florish as a leafe.
২৮যে নিজের ধনে নির্ভর করে, সে পড়ে যায়; কিন্তু ধার্মিকরা সতেজ পাতার মতো প্রফুল্ল হয়।
29 He that troubleth his owne house, shall inherite the winde, and the foole shalbe seruant to the wise in heart.
২৯যে নিজের পরিবারের বিপত্তি, সে বায়ু অধিকার পায় এবং নির্বোধ জ্ঞানী হৃদয়ের দাস হয়।
30 The fruite of the righteous is as a tree of life, and he that winneth soules, is wise.
৩০ধার্ম্মিকের ফল জীবনবৃক্ষ কিন্তু জ্ঞানবান [অপরদের] প্রাণ লাভ করে।
31 Beholde, the righteous shalbe recompensed in the earth: howe much more the wicked and the sinner?
৩১দেখ, পৃথিবীতে ধার্মিক প্রতিফল পায়, তবে দুষ্ট ও পাপী আরও কত না পাবে;
