Philippians 1
1 Paul and Timotheus the seruants of IESVS CHRIST, to all the Saintes in Christ Iesus which are at Philippi, with the Bishops, and Deacons:

2 Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
asmaaka. m taata ii"svara. h prabhu ryii"sukhrii. s.ta"sca yu. smabhya. m prasaadasya "saante"sca bhoga. m deyaastaa. m|
3 I thanke my God, hauing you in perfect memorie,
aha. m nirantara. m nijasarvvapraarthanaasu yu. smaaka. m sarvve. saa. m k. rte saananda. m praarthanaa. m kurvvan
4 (Alwayes in all my praiers for all you, praying with gladnesse)
yati vaaraan yu. smaaka. m smaraami tati vaaraan aa prathamaad adya yaavad
5 Because of the fellowship which ye haue in the Gospel, from the first day vnto nowe.
yu. smaaka. m susa. mvaadabhaagitvakaara. naad ii"svara. m dhanya. m vadaami|
6 And I am persuaded of this same thing, that he that hath begunne this good worke in you, wil perfourme it vntill the day of Iesus Christ,
yu. smanmadhye yenottama. m karmma karttum aarambhi tenaiva yii"sukhrii. s.tasya dina. m yaavat tat saadhayi. syata ityasmin d. r.dhavi"svaaso mamaaste|
7 As it becommeth me so to iudge of you all, because I haue you in remembrance that both in my bands, and in my defence, and confirmation of the Gospell you all were partakers of my grace.
yu. smaan sarvvaan adhi mama taad. r"so bhaavo yathaartho yato. aha. m kaaraavasthaayaa. m pratyuttarakara. ne susa. mvaadasya praamaa. nyakara. ne ca yu. smaan sarvvaan mayaa saarddham ekaanugrahasya bhaagino matvaa svah. rdaye dhaarayaami|
8 For God is my recorde, howe I long after you all from the very heart roote in Iesus Christ.
aparam aha. m khrii. s.tayii"so. h snehavat snehena yu. smaan kiid. r"sa. m kaa"nk. saami tadadhii"svaro mama saak. sii vidyate|
9 And this I pray, that your loue may abound, yet more and more in knowledge, and in all iudgement,
mayaa yat praarthyate tad ida. m yu. smaaka. m prema nitya. m v. rddhi. m gatvaa
10 That ye may alowe those things which are best, that ye may be pure, and without offence vntill the day of Christ,
j naanasya vi"si. s.taanaa. m pariik. sikaayaa"sca sarvvavidhabuddhe rbaahulya. m phalatu,
11 Filled with the fruites of righteousnesse, which are by Iesus Christ vnto the glorie and praise of God.
khrii. s.tasya dina. m yaavad yu. smaaka. m saaralya. m nirvighnatva nca bhavatu, ii"svarasya gauravaaya pra"sa. msaayai ca yii"sunaa khrii. s.tena pu. nyaphalaanaa. m puur. nataa yu. smabhya. m diiyataam iti|
12 I would ye vnderstood, brethren, that the things which haue come vnto me, are turned rather to the furthering of the Gospell,
he bhraatara. h, maa. m prati yad yad gha. tita. m tena susa. mvaadapracaarasya baadhaa nahi kintu v. rddhireva jaataa tad yu. smaan j naapayitu. m kaamaye. aha. m|
13 So that my bandes in Christ are famous throughout all the iudgement hall, and in all other places,
aparam aha. m khrii. s.tasya k. rte baddho. asmiiti raajapuryyaam anyasthaane. su ca sarvve. saa. m nika. te suspa. s.tam abhavat,
14 In so much that many of the brethren in the Lord are boldened through my bandes, and dare more frankely speake the word.
prabhusambandhiiyaa aneke bhraatara"sca mama bandhanaad aa"svaasa. m praapya varddhamaanenotsaahena ni. hk. sobha. m kathaa. m pracaarayanti|
15 Some preache. Christ euen through enuie and strife, and some also of good will.
kecid dve. saad virodhaaccaapare kecicca sadbhaavaat khrii. s.ta. m gho. sayanti;
16 The one part preacheth Christ of contention and not purely, supposing to adde more affliction to my bandes.
ye virodhaat khrii. s.ta. m gho. sayanti te pavitrabhaavaat tanna kurvvanto mama bandhanaani bahutaraklo"sadaayiini karttum icchanti|
17 But the others of loue, knowing that I am set for the defence of the Gospell.
ye ca premnaa gho. sayanti te susa. mvaadasya praamaa. nyakara. ne. aha. m niyukto. asmiiti j naatvaa tat kurvvanti|
18 What then? yet Christ is preached all maner wayes, whether it be vnder a pretence, or syncerely: and I therein ioye: yea and will ioye.
ki. m bahunaa? kaapa. tyaat saralabhaavaad vaa bhavet, yena kenacit prakaare. na khrii. s.tasya gho. sa. naa bhavatiityasmin aham aanandaamyaanandi. syaami ca|
19 For I knowe that this shall turne to my saluation through your prayer, and by the helpe of the Spirit of Iesus Christ,
yu. smaaka. m praarthanayaa yii"sukhrii. s.tasyaatmana"scopakaare. na tat mannistaarajanaka. m bhavi. syatiiti jaanaami|
20 As I feruently looke for, and hope, that in nothing I shalbe ashamed, but that with all confidence, as alwayes, so nowe Christ shalbe magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death.
tatra ca mamaakaa"nk. saa pratyaa"saa ca siddhi. m gami. syati phalato. aha. m kenaapi prakaare. na na lajji. sye kintu gate sarvvasmin kaale yadvat tadvad idaaniimapi sampuur. notsaahadvaaraa mama "sariire. na khrii. s.tasya mahimaa jiivane mara. ne vaa prakaa"si. syate|
21 For Christ is to me both in life, and in death aduantage.
yato mama jiivana. m khrii. s.taaya mara. na nca laabhaaya|
22 And whether to liue in the flesh were profitable for me, and what to chuse I knowe not.
kintu yadi "sariire mayaa jiivitavya. m tarhi tat karmmaphala. m phali. syati tasmaat ki. m varitavya. m tanmayaa na j naayate|
23 For I am distressed betweene both, desiring to be loosed and to be with Christ, which is best of all.
dvaabhyaam aha. m sampii. dye, dehavaasatyajanaaya khrii. s.tena sahavaasaaya ca mamaabhilaa. so bhavati yatastat sarvvottama. m|
24 Neuerthelesse, to abide in the flesh, is more needefull for you.
kintu dehe mamaavasthityaa yu. smaakam adhikaprayojana. m|
25 And this am I sure of, that I shall abide, and with you all continue, for your furtherance and ioy of your faith,
aham avasthaasye yu. smaabhi. h sarvvai. h saarddham avasthiti. m kari. sye ca tayaa ca vi"svaase yu. smaaka. m v. rddhyaanandau jani. syete tadaha. m ni"scita. m jaanaami|
26 That ye may more aboundantly reioyce in IESVS CHRIST for me, by my comming to you againe.
tena ca matto. arthato yu. smatsamiipe mama punarupasthitatvaat yuuya. m khrii. s.tena yii"sunaa bahutaram aahlaada. m lapsyadhve|
27 Onely let your conuersation be, as it becommeth the Gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or els be absent, I may heare of your matters that ye continue in one Spirit, and in one mind, fighting together through the faith of the Gospel.
yuuya. m saavadhaanaa bhuutvaa khrii. s.tasya susa. mvaadasyopayuktam aacaara. m kurudhva. m yato. aha. m yu. smaan upaagatya saak. saat kurvvan ki. m vaa duure ti. s.than yu. smaaka. m yaa. m vaarttaa. m "srotum icchaami seya. m yuuyam ekaatmaanasti. s.thatha, ekamanasaa susa. mvaadasambandhiiyavi"svaasasya pak. se yatadhve, vipak. sai"sca kenaapi prakaare. na na vyaakuliikriyadhva iti|
28 And in nothing feare your aduersaries, which is to them a token of perdition, and to you of saluation, and that of God.
tat te. saa. m vinaa"sasya lak. sa. na. m yu. smaaka nce"svaradatta. m paritraa. nasya lak. sa. na. m bhavi. syati|
29 For vnto you it is giuen for Christ, that not onely ye should beleeue in him, but also suffer for his sake,
yato yena yu. smaabhi. h khrii. s.te kevalavi"svaasa. h kriyate tannahi kintu tasya k. rte kle"so. api sahyate taad. r"so vara. h khrii. s.tasyaanurodhaad yu. smaabhi. h praapi,
30 Hauing the same fight, which ye sawe in me, and nowe heare to be in me.
tasmaat mama yaad. r"sa. m yuddha. m yu. smaabhiradar"si saamprata. m "sruuyate ca taad. r"sa. m yuddha. m yu. smaakam api bhavati|
