Philemon 1
1 Paul a prisoner of Iesus Christ, and our brother Timotheus, vnto Philemon our deare friende, and fellowe helper,
Nĩ niĩ Paũlũ, njohetwo nĩ ũndũ wa Kristũ Jesũ, na Timotheo mũrũ wa Ithe witũ, Tũratũma marũa maya kũrĩ Filemona mũrata witũ ũrĩa twendete na mũruti wĩra hamwe na ithuĩ,
2 And to our deare sister Apphia, and to Archippus our fellowe souldier, and to the Church that is in thine house:
na kũrĩ mwarĩ wa Ithe witũ Apufia, o na kũrĩ Arikipo, ũrĩa ũrũagĩrĩra Ũhoro wa Ngai hamwe na ithuĩ, o na kũrĩ kanitha ũrĩa ũcemanagia gwaku mũciĩ.
3 Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
Mũrogĩa na wega na thayũ kuuma kũrĩ Ngai Ithe witũ, na kuuma kũrĩ Mwathani Jesũ Kristũ.
4 I giue thanks to my God, making mention alwaies of thee in my praiers,
Atĩrĩrĩ, rĩrĩa ngũkũririkana mahooya-inĩ makwa-rĩ, nĩnjookagĩria Ngai wakwa ngaatho hĩndĩ ciothe,
5 (When I heare of thy loue and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Iesus, and towarde all Saintes)
tondũ nĩnjiguaga ũhoro wa wĩtĩkio waku thĩinĩ wa Mwathani Jesũ, na ũrĩa wendete andũ arĩa othe aamũre.
6 That the fellowship of thy faith may bee made effectuall, and that whatsoeuer good thing is in you through Christ Iesus, may be knowen.
Nĩhooyaga atĩ ũgĩe na kĩyo rĩrĩa ũkũgwatanĩra nao ũhoro wa wĩtĩkio waku, nĩgeetha magĩe na ũmenyo wa maũndũ mothe mega marĩa tũrĩ namo thĩinĩ wa Kristũ.
7 For we haue great ioy and consolation in thy loue, because by thee, brother, the Saintes bowels are comforted.
Wendani waku nĩũheete gĩkeno kĩnene mũno na ũkanyũmĩrĩria, nĩ tondũ wee, mũrũ wa Ithe witũ, nĩũcanjamũrĩte ngoro cia andũ arĩa aamũre.
8 Wherefore, though I bee very bolde in Christ to commaund thee that which is conuenient,
Nĩ ũndũ wa ũguo-rĩ, o na gũtuĩka no ngwathe ndĩ thĩinĩ wa Jesũ Kristũ, atĩ wĩke ũrĩa wagĩrĩire-rĩ,
9 Yet for loues sake I rather beseeche thee, though I be as I am, euen Paul aged, and euen nowe a prisoner for Iesus Christ.
nĩ kaba ngũthaithe ũwĩke nĩ ũndũ wa wendo. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, niĩ Paũlũ o na ndĩ mũthuuri mũkũrũ, na ningĩ ndĩ muohe nĩ ũndũ wa Kristũ Jesũ-rĩ,
10 I beseeche thee for my sonne Onesimus, whome I haue begotten in my bondes,
ngũgĩgũthaitha nĩ ũndũ wa mũrũ wakwa Onesimo, ũrĩa watuĩkire mũrũ wakwa ndĩ gũkũ kĩoho-inĩ.
11 Which in times past was to thee vnprofitable, but nowe profitable both to thee and to me,
Mbere ĩyo ndaarĩ kĩene kũrĩwe, no rĩu nĩatuĩkĩte mũndũ wa bata harĩwe o na harĩ niĩ.
12 Whome I haue sent againe: thou therefore receiue him, that is mine owne bowels,
Nake nĩngũmũcookia kũrĩwe, na ngĩmũtũma no taarĩ ngoro yakwa mwene ndĩragũtũmĩra.
13 Whom I woulde haue reteined with mee, that in thy steade he might haue ministred vnto me in the bondes of the Gospel.
Nĩingĩrendire gũikara nake, nĩgeetha andeithagie handũ-inĩ haku, rĩu njohetwo nĩ ũndũ wa Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega.
14 But without thy minde woulde I doe nothing, that thy benefite should not be as it were of necessitie, but willingly.

15 It may be that he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receiue him for euer, (aiōnios g166)
No gũkorwo gĩtũmi gĩa akweherere kahinda kanini-rĩ, nĩgeetha agũcookerera mũtũũranie nake nginya tene, (aiōnios g166)
16 Not now as a seruant, but aboue a seruant, euen as a brother beloued, specially to me: howe much more then vnto thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord?
no ndagacooke arĩ o ngombo, no akorwo akĩrĩte ngombo, acooke arĩ mũrũ wa Ithe witũ mwende mũno. Nĩ wa bata mũno harĩ niĩ, no harĩwe nĩ wa bata makĩria, arĩ ta mũndũ o na ta mũrũ wa Ithe witũ thĩinĩ wa Mwathani.
17 If therefore thou count our thinges common, receiue him as my selfe.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio angĩkorwo nĩũtuaga tũrĩ rũmwe nawe-rĩ, mwamũkĩre o ta ũrĩa ũngĩnyamũkĩra niĩ mwene.
18 If he hath hurt thee, or oweth thee ought, that put on mine accounts.
Nake angĩkorwo nĩagwĩkĩte ũũru o na ũrĩkũ, kana hihi arĩ na thiirĩ waku-rĩ, andĩka atĩ thiirĩ ũcio nĩ wakwa.
19 I Paul haue written this with mine owne hande: I will recompense it, albeit I doe not say to thee, that thou owest moreouer vnto me euen thine owne selfe.
Nĩ niĩ Paũlũ ndĩrakwandĩkĩra na guoko gwakwa mwene. Nĩngakũrĩha thiirĩ ũcio, o na gũtuĩka ndikwenda kũgweta atĩ o na wee mwene ũrĩ thiirĩ wakwa.
20 Yea, brother, let mee obteine this pleasure of thee in the Lord: comfort my bowels in the Lord.
Atĩrĩrĩ, mũrũ wa Ithe witũ, niĩ ingĩenda ngĩe na uumithio uumĩte kũrĩwe thĩinĩ wa Mwathani; canjamũra ngoro yakwa thĩinĩ wa Kristũ.
21 Trusting in thine obedience, I wrote vnto thee, knowing that thou wilt do eue more then I say.
Ndakwandĩkĩra marũa maya ndĩhokete atĩ ndũngĩaga kũnjathĩkĩra, na ngĩmenyaga atĩ nĩũgwĩka o na makĩria ya ũrĩa ngũrĩĩtie wĩke.
22 Moreouer also prepare mee lodging: for I trust through your prayers I shall be freely giuen vnto you.
Hamwe na ũguo-rĩ, thondekera handũ ha gũikara, tondũ ndĩ na mwĩhoko atĩ nĩndĩtĩkĩrio njũke kũrĩ inyuĩ nĩ ũndũ wa mahooya marĩa mũhooyagĩra.
23 There salute thee Epaphras my felowe prisoner in Christ Iesus,
Epafara, ũrĩa tuohetwo nake nĩ ũndũ wa Kristũ Jesũ, nĩakũgeithia.
24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my felowe helpers.
O na Mariko, na Arisitariko, na Dema, na Luka, arĩa tũrutithanagia wĩra nao, nĩmakũgeithia.
25 The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with your spirit, Amen. ‘Written from Rome to Philemon, and send by Onesimus a seruant.’
Wega wa Mwathani witũ Jesũ Kristũ ũrogĩa na roho waku.
