Numbers 8
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se dặn A-rôn:
2 Speake vnto Aaron, and say vnto him, When thou lightest the lampes, the seuen lampes shall giue light towarde the forefront of the Candlesticke.
“Hãy sắp xếp bảy ngọn đèn trên chân đèn thế nào cho ánh sáng chiếu thẳng ra phía trước.”
3 And Aaron did so, lighting the lampes thereof towarde ye forefront of the Candlesticke, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
A-rôn vâng lời, xếp cho đèn chiếu thẳng ra. Như lời Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo.
4 And this was the worke of the Candlesticke, euen of golde beaten out with the hammer, both the shafte, and the flowres thereof was beaten out with the hammer: according to the paterne, which the Lord had shewed Moses, so made he the Candlesticke.
Chân đèn làm bằng vàng dát, từ đế cho đến hoa, theo kiểu mẫu Chúa Hằng Hữu cho Môi-se xem.
5 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Chúa Hằng Hữu lại phán bảo Môi-se:
6 Take the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and purifie them.
“Hãy biệt riêng người Lê-vi ra khỏi toàn dân Ít-ra-ên và làm lễ thanh tẩy họ,
7 And thus shalt thou doe vnto them, when thou purifiest them, Sprinckle water of purification vpon them, and let them shaue all their flesh, and wash their clothes: so they shalbe cleane.
lấy nước thanh tẩy rảy trên họ, rồi bảo họ tự cạo sạch mình mẩy và giặt sạch áo xống.
8 Then they shall take a yong bullocke with his meate offring of fine floure, mingled with oyle, and another yong bullocke shalt thou take for a sinne offring.
Hãy bảo họ đem dâng một bò đực tơ và lễ vật ngũ cốc bột mịn trộn dầu, cùng với một bò đực tơ khác làm sinh tế chuộc tội.
9 Then thou shalt bring the Leuites before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and asseble all the Congregation of the children of Israel.
Sau đó, hãy dẫn người Lê-vi đến cửa Đền Tạm trước sự chứng kiến của toàn dân.
10 Thou shalt bring the Leuites also before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall put their handes vpon the Leuites.
Con sẽ trình diện người Lê-vi cho Chúa Hằng Hữu; và người Ít-ra-ên sẽ đặt tay trên họ.
11 And Aaron shall offer the Leuites before the Lord, as a shake offring of ye childre of Israel, that they may execute the seruice of the Lord.
A-rôn sẽ dâng người Lê-vi cho Chúa Hằng Hữu như một lễ vật của người Ít-ra-ên dâng lên, để thay dân phục vụ Chúa Hằng Hữu.
12 And the Leuites shall put their handes vpon the heades of the bullockes, and make thou the one a sinne offring, and the other a burnt offring vnto the Lord, that thou mayest make an atonement for the Leuites.
Người Lê-vi sẽ đặt tay trên đầu hai con bò: Một con làm sinh tế chuộc tội, một con làm sinh tế thiêu, dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu để chuộc tội cho họ.
13 And thou shalt set the Leuites before Aaron and before his sonnes, and offer the as a shake offring to the Lord.
Xong rồi, người Lê-vi sẽ được giao cho A-rôn và các con A-rôn, giống như một lễ vật dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu theo lối đưa qua đưa lại; sau khi dâng, lễ vật thuộc về thầy tế lễ.
14 Thus thou shalt separate the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall be mine.
Như thế, con phân biệt người Lê-vi với những người Ít-ra-ên khác, vì người Lê-vi thuộc về Ta.
15 And afterwarde shall the Leuites goe in, to serue in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and thou shalt purifie them and offer them, as a shake offering.
Sau khi được làm lễ thanh tẩy và hiến dâng, người Lê-vi sẽ vào Đền Tạm phục vụ Ta.
16 For they are freely giuen vnto me from among the children of Israel, for such as open any wombe: for all the first borne of the children of Israel haue I taken them vnto me.
Họ được dâng cho Ta để thay thế các con trưởng nam Ít-ra-ên, và Ta chấp nhận họ.
17 For all the first borne of the children of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast: since the day that I smote euery first borne in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for my selfe.
Vì vào ngày Ta đoán phạt các con đầu lòng Ai Cập, Ta đã dành cho Ta tất cả con đầu lòng Ít-ra-ên, cả người lẫn gia súc.
18 And I haue taken the Leuites for all the first borne of the children of Israel,
Và bây giờ, Ta nhận người Lê-vi thay cho các con trưởng nam Ít-ra-ên.
19 And haue giuen the Leuites as a gift vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes from among the children of Israel, to do the seruice of the children of Israel in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come neere vnto the Sanctuarie.
Ta sẽ giao người Lê-vi cho A-rôn và các con trai (như một món quà tặng), để họ phục vụ trong Đền Tạm thay cho người Ít-ra-ên, và làm lễ chuộc tội cho người Ít-ra-ên; nhờ đó người Ít-ra-ên sẽ không bị tai họa. Vì nếu ai trong người Ít-ra-ên vào nơi thánh, thì người ấy phải mang tai họa.”
20 Then Moses and Aaron and all the Cogregation of the children of Israel did with the Leuites, according vnto all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites: so did the children of Israel vnto them.
Môi-se, A-rôn, và toàn dân Ít-ra-ên thực hiện mọi lời Chúa Hằng Hữu phán dạy Môi-se về người Lê-vi.
21 So the Leuites were purified, and washed their clothes, and Aaron offred them as a shake offring before the Lord, and Aaron made an atonement for them, to purifie them.
Người Lê-vi tẩy sạch mình, giặt áo xống, và A-rôn dâng họ như tế lễ đưa qua đưa lại trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu. A-rôn cũng làm lễ chuộc tội cho họ được thánh sạch.
22 And after that, went the Leuites in to doe their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before Aaron and before his sonnes: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites, so they did vnto them.
Sau đó, họ vào Đền Tạm giúp A-rôn và các con A-rôn. Mọi việc đều được thực hiện đúng theo lời Chúa Hằng Hữu phán dạy Môi-se.
23 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se:
24 This also belongeth to the Leuites: from fiue and twentie yeere olde and vpwarde, they shall goe in, to execute their office in the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
“Mỗi người Lê-vi sẽ bắt đầu cuộc đời công vụ trong Đền Tạm từ tuổi hai mươi lăm,
25 And after the age of fiftie yeere, they shall cease from executing the office, and shall serue no more:
đến tuổi năm mươi, họ sẽ mãn nhiệm vụ.
26 But they shall minister with their brethre in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to keepe things committed to their charge, but they shall doe no seruice: thus shalt thou doe vnto the Leuites touching their charges.
Đến tuổi đó, họ có thể phụ giúp anh em mình trong các việc tại Đền Tạm, nhưng chính họ không được đảm trách công việc. Con phải áp dụng luật lệ này khi phân công cho người Lê-vi.”
