Numbers 8
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Yahweh falou com Moisés, dizendo,
2 Speake vnto Aaron, and say vnto him, When thou lightest the lampes, the seuen lampes shall giue light towarde the forefront of the Candlesticke.
“Fale com Aaron, e diga-lhe: 'Quando você acender as lâmpadas, as sete lâmpadas darão luz em frente ao suporte da lâmpada'”.
3 And Aaron did so, lighting the lampes thereof towarde ye forefront of the Candlesticke, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Aaron o fez. Ele acendeu suas lâmpadas para iluminar a área em frente ao suporte de lâmpadas, como Yahweh ordenou a Moisés.
4 And this was the worke of the Candlesticke, euen of golde beaten out with the hammer, both the shafte, and the flowres thereof was beaten out with the hammer: according to the paterne, which the Lord had shewed Moses, so made he the Candlesticke.
Este foi o trabalho da banca de lâmpadas, trabalho batido de ouro. De sua base até suas flores, era um trabalho batido. Ele fez o candeeiro de acordo com o padrão que Yahweh havia mostrado a Moisés.
5 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Yahweh falou a Moisés, dizendo:
6 Take the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and purifie them.
“Pegue os levitas dentre os filhos de Israel e os limpe.
7 And thus shalt thou doe vnto them, when thou purifiest them, Sprinckle water of purification vpon them, and let them shaue all their flesh, and wash their clothes: so they shalbe cleane.
Você fará isso com eles para limpá-los: polvilhe a água da limpeza sobre eles, deixe-os raspar o corpo inteiro com uma lâmina de barbear, deixe-os lavar suas roupas e limpar-se.
8 Then they shall take a yong bullocke with his meate offring of fine floure, mingled with oyle, and another yong bullocke shalt thou take for a sinne offring.
Em seguida, deixe-os levar um touro jovem e sua oferta de refeição, farinha fina misturada com óleo; e outro touro jovem que você levará para uma oferta pelo pecado.
9 Then thou shalt bring the Leuites before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and asseble all the Congregation of the children of Israel.
Você apresentará os Levitas antes da Tenda da Reunião. Vocês reunirão toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel.
10 Thou shalt bring the Leuites also before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall put their handes vpon the Leuites.
Apresentareis os Levitas antes de Yahweh. Os filhos de Israel imporão suas mãos sobre os levitas,
11 And Aaron shall offer the Leuites before the Lord, as a shake offring of ye childre of Israel, that they may execute the seruice of the Lord.
e Arão oferecerá os levitas diante de Iavé para uma oferta de onda em nome dos filhos de Israel, para que possa ser deles a fazer o serviço de Iavé.
12 And the Leuites shall put their handes vpon the heades of the bullockes, and make thou the one a sinne offring, and the other a burnt offring vnto the Lord, that thou mayest make an atonement for the Leuites.
“Os levitas colocarão suas mãos sobre a cabeça dos touros, e você oferecerá um por uma oferta pelo pecado e o outro por uma oferta queimada a Javé, para fazer expiação pelos levitas.
13 And thou shalt set the Leuites before Aaron and before his sonnes, and offer the as a shake offring to the Lord.
Você colocará os levitas diante de Aarão e diante de seus filhos, e os oferecerá como uma oferta pela onda a Iavé.
14 Thus thou shalt separate the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall be mine.
Assim você separará os levitas entre os filhos de Israel, e os levitas serão meus.
15 And afterwarde shall the Leuites goe in, to serue in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and thou shalt purifie them and offer them, as a shake offering.
“Depois disso, os Levitas devem entrar para fazer o serviço da Tenda de Reunião. Você deverá limpá-los e oferecê-los como uma oferta de onda.
16 For they are freely giuen vnto me from among the children of Israel, for such as open any wombe: for all the first borne of the children of Israel haue I taken them vnto me.
Pois eles me são totalmente dados dentre os filhos de Israel; em vez de todos os que abrem o ventre, mesmo o primogênito de todos os filhos de Israel, eu os levei até mim.
17 For all the first borne of the children of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast: since the day that I smote euery first borne in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for my selfe.
Pois todos os primogênitos entre os filhos de Israel são meus, tanto o homem como o animal. No dia em que atingi todos os primogênitos na terra do Egito, eu os santificei para mim mesmo.
18 And I haue taken the Leuites for all the first borne of the children of Israel,
Levei os levitas ao invés de todos os primogênitos entre os filhos de Israel.
19 And haue giuen the Leuites as a gift vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes from among the children of Israel, to do the seruice of the children of Israel in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come neere vnto the Sanctuarie.
Dei os levitas como presente a Arão e a seus filhos dentre os filhos de Israel, para fazer o serviço dos filhos de Israel na Tenda da Reunião, e fazer expiação pelos filhos de Israel, para que não haja praga entre os filhos de Israel quando os filhos de Israel se aproximarem do santuário”.
20 Then Moses and Aaron and all the Cogregation of the children of Israel did with the Leuites, according vnto all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites: so did the children of Israel vnto them.
Moisés e Aarão, e toda a congregação das crianças de Israel o fizeram aos levitas. De acordo com tudo o que Javé ordenou a Moisés a respeito dos levitas, assim os filhos de Israel o fizeram a eles.
21 So the Leuites were purified, and washed their clothes, and Aaron offred them as a shake offring before the Lord, and Aaron made an atonement for them, to purifie them.
Os levitas se purificaram do pecado, e lavaram suas roupas; e Arão os ofereceu para uma oferta de ondas antes que Iavé e Arão fizessem expiação por eles para limpá-los.
22 And after that, went the Leuites in to doe their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before Aaron and before his sonnes: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites, so they did vnto them.
Depois disso, os levitas foram fazer seu serviço na Tenda da Reunião diante de Aarão e diante de seus filhos: como Javé havia ordenado a Moisés a respeito dos levitas, assim eles fizeram com eles.
23 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Yahweh falou a Moisés, dizendo:
24 This also belongeth to the Leuites: from fiue and twentie yeere olde and vpwarde, they shall goe in, to execute their office in the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
“É isto que é atribuído aos Levitas: a partir dos vinte e cinco anos de idade eles entrarão para aguardar o serviço na Tenda da Reunião;
25 And after the age of fiftie yeere, they shall cease from executing the office, and shall serue no more:
e a partir dos cinqüenta anos de idade eles se retirarão do trabalho, e não servirão mais,
26 But they shall minister with their brethre in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to keepe things committed to their charge, but they shall doe no seruice: thus shalt thou doe vnto the Leuites touching their charges.
mas ajudarão seus irmãos na Tenda da Reunião, para cumprir o dever, e não prestarão nenhum serviço. É assim que vocês farão com que os Levitas cumpram suas obrigações”.
