Numbers 8
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa:
2 Speake vnto Aaron, and say vnto him, When thou lightest the lampes, the seuen lampes shall giue light towarde the forefront of the Candlesticke.
"Berbicaralah kepada Harun dan katakanlah kepadanya: Apabila engkau memasang lampu-lampu itu, haruslah ketujuh lampu itu menerangi yang di sebelah depan kandil."
3 And Aaron did so, lighting the lampes thereof towarde ye forefront of the Candlesticke, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Demikianlah diperbuat Harun. Di sebelah depan kandil dipasangnyalah lampu-lampunya, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa.
4 And this was the worke of the Candlesticke, euen of golde beaten out with the hammer, both the shafte, and the flowres thereof was beaten out with the hammer: according to the paterne, which the Lord had shewed Moses, so made he the Candlesticke.
Dan beginilah kandil itu dibuat: dari emas tempaan; kandil itu tempaan, baik kakinya maupun kembangnya; sesuai dengan apa yang telah diperlihatkan TUHAN kepada Musa, demikianlah kandil itu dibuatnya.
5 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa:
6 Take the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and purifie them.
"Ambillah orang Lewi dari tengah-tengah orang Israel dan tahirkanlah mereka.
7 And thus shalt thou doe vnto them, when thou purifiest them, Sprinckle water of purification vpon them, and let them shaue all their flesh, and wash their clothes: so they shalbe cleane.
Beginilah harus kaulakukan kepada mereka untuk mentahirkan mereka: percikkanlah kepada mereka air penghapus dosa, kemudian haruslah mereka mencukur seluruh tubuhnya dan mencuci pakaiannya dan dengan demikian mentahirkan dirinya.
8 Then they shall take a yong bullocke with his meate offring of fine floure, mingled with oyle, and another yong bullocke shalt thou take for a sinne offring.
Sesudah itu haruslah mereka mengambil seekor lembu jantan muda dengan korban sajiannya dari tepung yang terbaik, diolah dengan minyak, juga seekor lembu jantan muda yang lain haruslah kauambil untuk korban penghapus dosa.
9 Then thou shalt bring the Leuites before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and asseble all the Congregation of the children of Israel.
Selanjutnya haruslah kausuruh orang Lewi mendekat ke depan Kemah Pertemuan, dan kaupanggil berkumpul segenap umat Israel.
10 Thou shalt bring the Leuites also before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall put their handes vpon the Leuites.
Apabila engkau telah menyuruh orang Lewi mendekat ke hadapan TUHAN, maka haruslah orang Israel meletakkan tangannya atas orang Lewi itu,
11 And Aaron shall offer the Leuites before the Lord, as a shake offring of ye childre of Israel, that they may execute the seruice of the Lord.
dan Harun harus mengunjukkan orang Lewi itu sebagai persembahan unjukan dari antara orang Israel di hadapan TUHAN, dan demikianlah mereka diuntukkan melakukan pekerjaan jabatannya bagi TUHAN.
12 And the Leuites shall put their handes vpon the heades of the bullockes, and make thou the one a sinne offring, and the other a burnt offring vnto the Lord, that thou mayest make an atonement for the Leuites.
Setelah orang Lewi meletakkan tangannya atas kepala lembu-lembu jantan muda itu, maka haruslah yang seekor diolah sebagai korban penghapus dosa dan yang lain sebagai korban bakaran bagi TUHAN untuk mengadakan pendamaian bagi orang Lewi.
13 And thou shalt set the Leuites before Aaron and before his sonnes, and offer the as a shake offring to the Lord.
Maka haruslah engkau menghadapkan orang Lewi kepada Harun dengan anak-anaknya dan mengunjukkan mereka sebagai persembahan unjukan bagi TUHAN.
14 Thus thou shalt separate the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall be mine.
Demikianlah harus engkau mentahirkan mereka dari tengah-tengah orang Israel, supaya orang Lewi itu menjadi kepunyaan-Ku.
15 And afterwarde shall the Leuites goe in, to serue in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and thou shalt purifie them and offer them, as a shake offering.
Barulah sesudah itu orang Lewi boleh masuk untuk melakukan pekerjaan jabatannya pada Kemah Pertemuan, sesudah engkau mentahirkan mereka dan mengunjukkan mereka sebagai persembahan unjukan.
16 For they are freely giuen vnto me from among the children of Israel, for such as open any wombe: for all the first borne of the children of Israel haue I taken them vnto me.
Sebab mereka harus diserahkan dengan sepenuhnya kepada-Ku dari tengah-tengah orang Israel; ganti semua yang terdahulu lahir dari kandungan, yakni semua anak sulung yang ada pada orang Israel, telah Kuambil mereka bagi-Ku.
17 For all the first borne of the children of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast: since the day that I smote euery first borne in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for my selfe.
Sebab semua anak sulung yang ada pada orang Israel, baik dari manusia maupun dari hewan, adalah kepunyaan-Ku; pada waktu Aku membunuh semua anak sulung di tanah Mesir, Aku telah menguduskan semuanya bagi-Ku.
18 And I haue taken the Leuites for all the first borne of the children of Israel,
Maka Aku mengambil orang Lewi ganti semua anak sulung yang ada pada orang Israel,
19 And haue giuen the Leuites as a gift vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes from among the children of Israel, to do the seruice of the children of Israel in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come neere vnto the Sanctuarie.
dan Aku menyerahkan orang Lewi dari tengah-tengah orang Israel sebagai pemberian kepada Harun dan anak-anaknya untuk melakukan segala pekerjaan jabatan bagi orang Israel di Kemah Pertemuan, dan untuk mengadakan pendamaian bagi orang Israel, supaya orang Israel jangan kena tulah apabila mereka mendekat ke tempat kudus."
20 Then Moses and Aaron and all the Cogregation of the children of Israel did with the Leuites, according vnto all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites: so did the children of Israel vnto them.
Lalu Musa, Harun dan segenap umat Israel melakukan yang demikian kepada orang Lewi; tepat seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa mengenai orang Lewi, demikianlah dilakukan orang Israel kepada mereka.
21 So the Leuites were purified, and washed their clothes, and Aaron offred them as a shake offring before the Lord, and Aaron made an atonement for them, to purifie them.
Orang Lewi itu menghapus dosa dari dirinya dan mencuci pakaian mereka, kemudian Harun mengunjukkan mereka sebagai persembahan unjukan di hadapan TUHAN, dan mengadakan pendamaian bagi mereka sambil mentahirkan mereka.
22 And after that, went the Leuites in to doe their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before Aaron and before his sonnes: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites, so they did vnto them.
Sesudah itu masuklah orang Lewi untuk melakukan pekerjaan jabatan mereka di Kemah Pertemuan, di bawah pengawasan Harun dan anak-anaknya. Seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa mengenai orang Lewi, demikianlah dilakukan kepada mereka.
23 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa:
24 This also belongeth to the Leuites: from fiue and twentie yeere olde and vpwarde, they shall goe in, to execute their office in the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
"Inilah yang berlaku bagi orang Lewi: setiap orang yang berumur dua puluh lima tahun ke atas wajib bertugas, supaya ia bekerja pada Kemah Pertemuan,
25 And after the age of fiftie yeere, they shall cease from executing the office, and shall serue no more:
tetapi jika ia berumur lima puluh tahun haruslah ia dibebaskan dari pekerjaan itu, sehingga tak usah ia bekerja lebih lama lagi.
26 But they shall minister with their brethre in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to keepe things committed to their charge, but they shall doe no seruice: thus shalt thou doe vnto the Leuites touching their charges.
Ia boleh membantu saudara-saudaranya di Kemah Pertemuan dalam menjalankan tugas mereka, tetapi tidak usah lagi ia menjabat pekerjaan itu. Demikianlah harus kaulakukan kepada orang Lewi mengenai tugas mereka."
