< Numbers 6 >
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
I korero ano a Ihowa ki a Mohi, i mea,
2 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When a man or a woman doeth separate themselues to vowe a vowe of a Nazarite to separate himselfe vnto the Lord,
3 He shall abstaine from wine and strong drinke, and shall drinke no sowre wine nor sowre drinke, nor shall drinke any licour of grapes, neither shall eate fresh grapes nor dryed.
Me wehe ia i a ia kei tata ki te waina, i te wai whakahaurangi ranei, kaua hoki ia e inu i te winika waina, i te winika whakahaurangi, kaua hoki e inu i te wai karepe, a kaua e kai i te karepe hou, maroke ranei.
4 As long as his abstinence endureth, shall hee eat nothing that is made of the wine of the vine, neither the kernels, nor the huske.
I nga ra katoa e wehea ai ia kaua ia e kai i tetahi mea no te waina te mea i hanga ai, ahakoa nganga, ahakoa peha.
5 While hee is separate by his vowe, the rasor shall not come vpon his head, vntill the dayes be out, in the which he separateth him selfe vnto the Lord, he shalbe holy, and shall let the lockes of the heare of his head growe.
I nga ra katoa o tanga ki taurangi wehe i a ia, kaua te heu e pa ki tona matenga: kia tutuki ra ano nga ra e wehea ai ia ki a Ihowa, ka tapu ia, a me tuku e ia nga makawe o tona matenga kia tupu, kia roroa.
6 During the time that he separateth himselfe vnto the Lord, he shall come at no dead body:
I nga ra katoa i wehe ai ia i a ia ki a Ihowa kaua ia e whakatata ki te tupapaku.
7 Hee shall not make himselfe vncleane at the death of his father, or mother, brother, or sister: for the consecration of his God is vpon his head.
Kaua ia e whakapoke i a ia mo tona papa, mo tona whaea, mo tona tuakana, teina ranei, mo tona tuahine, ina mate ratou; no te mea kei runga i tona matenga te wehenga a tona Atua.
8 All the dayes of his separation he shalbe holy to the Lord.
Ka tapu ia ki a Ihowa i nga ra katoa e wehe ai ia.
9 And if any dye suddenly by him, or hee beware, then the head of his consecration shall be defiled, and he shall shaue his head in the day of his clensing: in the seuenth day he shall shaue it.
A ki te mate tetahi tangata ki tona taha, he mea pa whakarere, a kua poke i a ia tona matenga i wehea nei; na me heu e ia tona matenga i te ra e purea ai ia, me heu e ia i te whitu o nga ra.
10 And in the eight day hee shall bring two turtles, or two yong pigeons to the Priest, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
A i te waru o nga ra me kawe mai e ia he kukupa kia rua, he pi kikupa ranei kia rua, ki te tohunga, ki te whatitoka o te tapenakara o te whakaminenga:
11 Then the Priest shall prepare the one for a sinne offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and shall make an atonement for him, because he sinned by the dead: so shall he halowe his head the same day,
A me whakahere tetahi e te tohunga hei whakahere hara, me tetahi hei tahunga tinana, a ka whakamarie mona, nona hoki i whai hara i te tupapaku, ka whakatapua ano tona matenga i taua ra ano.
12 And he shall consecrate vnto the Lord the dayes of his separation, and shall bring a lambe of a yeere olde for a trespasse offering, and the first dayes shalbe voide: for his consecration was defiled.
A me whakatapu e ia ki a Ihowa nga ra o tona wehenga, me kawe mai ano he reme toa, he tau tahi, hei whakahere mo te he: ko nga ra ia o mua ka whakataka, no te mea kua poke tona wehenga.
13 This then is the lawe of the Nazarite: When the time of his consecration is out, he shall come to the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation,
14 And hee shall bring his offering vnto the Lord, an hee lambe of a yeere olde without blemish for a burnt offering, and a shee lambe of a yere olde without blemish for a sinne offring, and a ramme without blemish for peace offrings,
A me whakahere e ia tana whakahere ki a Ihowa, kia kotahi te reme toa tau tahi, hei te mea kohakore, hei tahunga tinana, me tetahi reme uha tau tahi, hei te mea kohakore, hei whakahere hara, me teahi hipi toa kohakore, hei whakahere mo te pai,
15 And a basket of vnleauened bread, of cakes of fine floure, mingled with oyle, and wafers of vnleauened bread anointed with oile, with their meate offring, and their drinke offrings:
Me tetahi kete taro rewenakore, me nga keke paraoa pai i konatunatua ki te hinu, me etahi me angiangi ano hoki, hei nga mea rewenakore i pania ki te hinu, me te whakahere totokore, me nga ringihanga o aua mea.
16 The which the Priest shall bring before the Lord, and make his sinne offering and his burnt offering.
A me kawe aua mea e te tohunga ki te aroaro o Ihowa, a ka whakaherea tana whakahere hara, me tana tahunga tinana:
17 He shall prepare also the ram for a peace offring vnto the Lord, with the basket of vnleauened bread, and the Priest shall make his meate offring, and his drinke offring.
Me whakahere ano e ia te hipi toa, hei patunga mo te pai ki a Ihowa, me te kete taro rewenakore: me whakahere ano e te tohunga tana whakahere totokore, me tana ringihanga.
18 And the Nazarite shall shaue the head of his consecration at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and shall take the heare of the head of his consecration, and put it in the fire, which is vnder the peace offring.
19 Then the Priest shall take ye sodden shoulder of the ramme, and an vnleauened cake out of the basket, and a wafer vnleauened, and put them vpon the hands of the Nazarite, after he hath shauen his consecration.
20 And the Priest shall shake them to and from before the Lord: this is an holy thing for the Priest besides the shaken breast, and besides the heaue shoulder: so afterwarde the Nazarite may drinke wine.
21 This is the Lawe of the Nazarite, which he hath vowed, and of his offering vnto the Lord for his consecration, besides that that hee is able to bring: according to the vowe which he vowed, so shall he do after the lawe of his consecration.
22 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
I korero ano a Ihowa ki a Mohi, i mea,
23 Speake vnto Aaron and to his sonnes, saying, Thus shall ye blesse the childre of Israel, and say vnto them,
Korero ki a Arona ratou ko ana tama, mea atu, Kia penei ta koutou manaaki i nga tama a iharaira; mea atu ki a ratou,
24 The Lord blesse thee, and keepe thee,
Ma Ihowa koe e manaaki, mana koe e tiaki:
25 The Lord make his face shine vpon thee, and be merciful vnto thee,
Ma Ihowa e mea kia tiaho tona mata ki a koe, mana ano hoki koe e atawhai:
26 The Lord lift vp his coutenance vpon thee, and giue thee peace.
27 So they shall put my Name vpon the children of Israel, and I wil blesse them.
A ka karangatia e ratou toku ingoa ki runga ki nga tama a Iharaira; a maku ratou e manaaki.
