Numbers 4
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, and to Aaron, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse et à Aaron, disant:
2 Take the summe of the sonnes of Kohath from among the sonnes of Leui, after their families, and houses of their fathers,
Prends, parmi les fils de Lévi, le total des fils de Caath, par branches, par maisons paternelles,
3 From thirtie yeere olde and aboue, euen vntill fiftie yeere olde, all that enter into the assemblie to do the worke in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Depuis vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, de tous ceux qui entrent pour le service divin, et pour faire toutes les œuvres du tabernacle du témoignage.
4 This shall be the office of the sonnes of Kohath in the Tabernacle of the Congregation about the Holiest of all.
Voici le ministère des fils de Caath dans le tabernacle du témoignage et le Saint des saints.
5 When the hoste remoueth, then Aaron and his sonnes shall come and take downe the couering vaile, and shall couer the Arke of the Testimonie therewith.
Lorsque Israël lèvera le camp, Aaron et ses fils entreront dans le tabernacle, et ils détendront le voile intérieur, et ils envelopperont l'arche.
6 And they shall put thereon a couering of badgers skinnes, and shall spread vpon it a cloth altogether of blewe silke, and put to the barres thereof:
Ils placeront par-dessus une couverture de peaux bleues, et par-dessus encore ils jetteront un voile bleu, puis, ils passeront les leviers;
7 And vpon ye table of shew bread they shall spread a cloth of blewe silke, and put thereon the dishes, and the incense cups, and goblets, and couerings to couer it with, and the bread shall be thereon continually:
Et sur la table de proposition, ils étendront une nappe pourpre, sur laquelle ils mettront les plats, les encensoirs, les urnes, les coupes à libations, avec les pains qui sont toujours exposés sur cette table.
8 And they shall spread vpon them a couering of skarlet, and couer the same with a couering of badgers skinnes, and put to the barres thereof.
Ils jetteront par-dessus une nappe écarlate qu'ils envelopperont d'une couverture de peaux bleues, et ils passeront les leviers.
9 Then they shall take a cloth of blewe silke, and couer the candlesticke of light with his lampes and his snuffers, and his snuffedishes, and al the oyle vessels thereof, which they occupie about it.
Ils prendront ensuite une nappe bleue, et ils en envelopperont le chandelier, les lampes, les pincettes, les burettes et tous les vases à l'huile qui servent à leurs fonctions saintes;
10 So they shall put it, and all the instruments thereof in a couering of badgers skinnes, and put it vpon the barres.
Et ils déposeront le chandelier avec tous ses accessoires dans une couverture de peaux bleues, et ils le placeront sur des brancards.
11 Also vpon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blewe silke, and couer it with a couering of badgers skinnes, and put to the barres thereof.
Sur l'autel d'or, ils étendront une nappe bleue, et par-dessus une couverture de peaux couleur d'hyacinthe; puis ils passeront les leviers.
12 And they shall take all the instruments of the ministerie wherewith they minister in the Sanctuarie, and put them in a cloth of blew silke, and couer the with a couering of badgers skinnes, and put them on the barres.
Ils prendront tous les vases, tous les instruments liturgiques employés dans le sanctuaire, et ils les déposeront sur une nappe bleue, puis, ils les envelopperont d'une couverture de peaux, et ils les placeront sur des brancards.
13 Also they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth vpon it,
Ils mettront aussi le couvercle sur l'autel des holocaustes, et ils le couvriront d'une nappe pourpre.
14 And shall put vpon it all the instruments thereof, which they occupie about it: the censers, the fleshhookes and the besomes, and the basens, euen al the instruments of the altar and they shall spread vpon it a couering of badgers skinnes, and put to the barres of it.
Et ils y placeront tous les vases employés dans la liturgie, les foyers, les crochets, les coupes, le couvercle, tout l'ameublement de l'autel; ils les envelopperont d'une couverture de peaux bleues, puis, ils passeront les leviers. Et ils prendront une nappe pourpre, et ils en envelopperont le réservoir avec sa base qu'ils poseront dans une couverture de peaux bleues, et ils le mettront sur des brancards.
15 And when Aaron and his sonnes haue made an ende of couering the Sanctuarie, and al the instruments of the Sanctuarie, at the remouing of the host, afterward the sonnes of Kohath shall come to beare it, but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they dye. This is the charge of the sonnes of Kohath in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Et lorsque, aux levers du camp, Aaron et ses fils auront achevé d'envelopper les choses saintes, ainsi que tous les vases sacrés, les fils de Caath entreront dans le tabernacle pour les enlever, et ils ne toucheront pas aux choses saintes, s'ils ne veulent pas mourir; les fils de Caath les transporteront ensuite hors du tabernacle du témoignage.
16 And to the office of Eleazar the sonne of Aaron the Priest pertaineth the oyle for the light, and the sweete incense and the dayly meat offring, and the anointing oyle, with the ouersight of all the Tabernacle, and of all that therein is, both in the Sanctuarie and in all the instruments thereof.
Eléazar, fils du grand prêtre Aaron, veillera à l'huile du chandelier, à l'encens composé, aux sacrifices quotidiens, et à l'huile de l'onction; il aura l'inspection du tabernacle entier et de tout ce qu'il contient à l'usage des œuvres saintes.
17 And the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse et à Aaron, disant:
18 Ye shall not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Leuites:
Gardez-vous d'exposer à périr, parmi la tribu de Lévi, la famille de Caath.
19 But thus do vnto them, that they may liue and not die, when they come neere to the most holy things: let Aaron and his sonnes come and appoynt them, euery one to his office, and to his charge.
Faites ce que je vais dire, et ils vivront; ils ne mourront pas lorsqu'ils s'approcheront du Saint des saints: qu'Aaron et ses fils les précèdent et les placent chacun à son brancard.
20 But let them not goe in, to see when the Sanctuarie is folden vp, lest they die.
Et qu'ils n'entrent pas de manière à voir soudain les choses saintes, car ils mourraient.
21 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Le Seigneur dit aussi à Moïse:
22 Take also ye summe of the sonnes of Gershon, euery one by the houses of their fathers throughout their families:
Prends le total des fils de Gerson par maisons paternelles, par branches,
23 From thirtie yere old and aboue, vntil fiftie yere old shalt thou nomber them, al that enter into the assemblie for to do seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Depuis vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, de tous ceux qui entrent dans le tabernacle du témoignage, pour le service divin et pour faire leurs œuvres.
24 This shall be the seruice of the families of the Gershonites, to serue and to beare.
Voici le ministère de la famille des fils de Gerson: servir et enlever.
25 They shall beare the curtaines of the Tabernacle, and the Tabernacle of the Congregation, his couering, and the couering of badgers skinnes, that is on hie vpon it, and the vayle of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation:
Ils enlèveront les couvertures du tabernacle et le tabernacle du témoignage lui-même, sa première couverture et la couverture bleue d'en haut, avec le voile de l'entrée du tabernacle du témoignage,
26 The curtaines also of the court, and the vaile of the entring in of the gate of the court, which is neere the Tabernacle and neere the altar round about, with their cordes, and all the instruments for their seruice, and all that is made for them: so shall they serue.
Et les tentures du parvis qui l'entourent; ils prendront soin aussi de tous les instruments liturgiques se rapportant à leur service.
27 At the commandement of Aaron and his sonnes shall all the seruice of the sonnes of ye Gershonites bee done, in all their charges and in all their seruice, and ye shall appoynt them to keepe all their charges.
Le ministère des fils de Gerson, en tous leurs devoirs et en toutes leurs œuvres, s'exercera sous la direction d'Aaron et de ses fils, et tu noteras, en prenant les noms de chacun, toutes les choses qu'ils enlèveront.
28 This is the seruice of the families of the sonnes of the Gershonites in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and their watch shall be vnder the hande of Ithamar the sonne of Aaron the Priest.
Tel est le ministère des fils de Gerson dans le tabernacle du témoignage, et ils l'exerceront sous la direction d'Ithamar, fils d'Aaron.
29 Thou shalt nomber the sonnes of Merari by their families, and by the houses of their fathers:
Faites le recensement des fils de Mérari, par branches, par maisons paternelles,
30 From thirty yere olde and aboue, euen vnto fiftie yere olde shalt thou nomber the, all that enter into the assemblie, to doe the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Depuis vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, de tous ceux qui entrent dans le tabernacle du témoignage, pour le service de ses œuvres.
31 And this is their office and charge according to all their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: the boardes of the Tabernacle with the barres thereof, and his pillars, and his sockets,
Et voici leur fonction et leur part de travail dans le tabernacle du témoignage: ils porteront les chapiteaux du tabernacle, ses leviers, ses colonnes et leurs bases, le voile intérieur, avec ses colonnes et leurs bases, ainsi que le voile de la porte du tabernacle,
32 And the pillars rounde about the court, with their sockets and their pinnes, and their cords, with all their instruments, euen for all their seruice: and by name ye shall recken the instruments of their office and charge.
Et aussi les colonnes du parvis qui l'entoure, avec leurs bases, les colonnes du voile de la porte du parvis et leurs bases, leurs piquets et cordages, leurs divers accessoires, et tout ce qui leur appartient. Vous noterez, en prenant les noms de chacun, toutes les choses qu'ils enlèveront.
33 This is the seruice of the families of the sonnes of Merari, according to all their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation vnder the hand of Ithamar the sonne of Aaron the Priest.
Tel est le ministère de la famille des fils de Mérari, en toutes leurs œuvres dans le tabernacle du témoignage; ils l'exerceront sous la direction d'Ithamar, fils d'Aaron.
34 Then Moses and Aaron and the princes of the Congregation nombred the sonnes of the Kohathites, by their families and by the houses of their fathers,
Et Moïse, avec Aaron et les chefs d'Israël, recensa par branches, par maisons paternelles,
35 From thirtie yeere olde and aboue, euen vnto fiftie yere olde, all that enter into the assemblie for the seruice of the Tabernacle of ye Congregation.
De vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, tous les fils de Gaath, qui entraient dans le tabernacle du témoignage, pour les œuvres du service divin.
36 So the nombers of the throughout their families were two thousande, seuen hundreth and fiftie.
Et leur recensement par branches donna deux mille sept cent cinquante âmes.
37 These are the nombers of the families of the Kohathites, al that serue in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, which Moses and Aaron did nomber according to the commandement of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Tel fut, selon l'ordre donné par le Seigneur à Moïse, le recensement fait par Moïse et Aaron, des fils de Caath, qui servaient dans le tabernacle du témoignage.
38 Also the nombers of the sonnes of Gershon throughout their families and houses of their fathers,
Et ils recensèrent par branches, par maisons paternelles,
39 From thirtie yere olde and vpwarde, euen vnto fiftie yere olde: all that enter into the assemblie for the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Cogregation.
De vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, tous les fils de Gerson, qui entraient, pour le service divin et pour faire leurs œuvres, dans le tabernacle du témoignage.
40 So the nombers of them by their families, and by the houses of their fathers were two thousand sixe hundreth and thirtie.
Et leur recensement par branches, par maisons paternelles, donna deux mille six cents âmes.
41 These are the nombers of the families of the sonnes of Gershon: of all that did seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did nomber according to the commandement of the Lord.
Tel fut le recensement fait par Moïse et Aaron, selon l'ordre donné par le Seigneur à Moïse, de tous les fils de Gerson, qui servaient dans le tabernacle du témoignage.
42 The nombers also of the families of the sonnes of Merari by their families, and by the houses of their fathers,
Ils recensèrent également par branches, par maisons paternelles,
43 From thirtie yeere olde and vpwarde, euen vnto fiftie yeere olde: all that enter into the assemblie for the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
De vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, tous les fils de Mérari, qui entraient dans le tabernacle du témoignage pour les œuvres du service divin.
44 So the nombers of them by their families were three thousand, and two hundreth.
Et le recensement par branches, par maisons paternelles, donna trois mille deux cents âmes.
45 These are the summes of ye families of the sonnes of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron nombred according to the commandement of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.
Tel fut le recensement des fils de Mérari, fait par Moïse et Aaron, selon l'ordre donné par le Seigneur a Moïse.
46 So all the nombers of the Leuites, which Moses, and Aaron, and the princes of Israel nombred by their families and by the houses of their fathers,
Tous les recensés que dénombrèrent Moïse, Aaron et les chefs lévites d'Israël, par branches et par maisons paternelles,
47 From thirtie yere olde and vpward, euen to fiftie yeere olde, euery one that came to doe his duetie, office, seruice and charge in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
De vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus jusqu'à cinquante, tous ceux qui entraient dans le tabernacle du témoignage, pour l'œuvre des œuvres, et pour transporter ce qu'il y avait à enlever,
48 So the nombers of them were eight thousand, fiue hundreth and foure score.
Tous ces recensés furent au nombre de huit mille cinq cent quatre-vingts.
49 According to the commandement of the Lord by the hand of Moses did Aaron nomber them, euery one according to his seruice, and according to his charge. Thus were they of that tribe nombred, as the Lord commanded Moses.
On les recensa selon l'ordre donné par le Seigneur à Moïse, homme par homme, en désignant à chacun sa part de labeur, et ce qu'il aurait à emporter; le recensement s'opéra comme le Seigneur l'avait prescrit à Moïse.
