Numbers 36
1 Then the chiefe fathers of the familie of the sonnes of Gilead, the sonne of Machir, the sonne of Manasseh, of the families of the sones of Ioseph, came, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chiefe fathers of the children of Israel,
Se acercaron los jefes de las casas paternas de la familia de los hijos de Galaad, hijo de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, de entre las familias de los hijos de José y dirigiéndose a Moisés y a los príncipes, jefes de las casas paternas de los hijos de Israel,
2 And saide, The Lord commanded my lord to giue the land to inherit by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the Lord, to giue the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother vnto his daughters.
dijeron: “Yahvé mandó a mi señor dar por suertes la tierra de herencia a los hijos de Israel; también recibió mi señor orden de Yahvé de dar la herencia de nuestro hermano Salfaad a sus hijas.
3 If they bee married to any of the sonnes of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and shalbe put vnto the inheritance of the tribe whereof they shalbe: so shall it be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.
Mas si ellas se casan con uno de los hijos de las (otras) tribus de los israelitas, la herencia de ellas será sustraída a la herencia de nuestros padres, y aumentará la herencia de la tribu de la cual ellas formen parte, disminuyéndose así la herencia que nos tocó en suerte.
4 Also when the Iubile of the children of Israel commeth, then shall their inheritance be put vnto the inheritance of the tribe whereof they shall be: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
Y cuando viene el año jubilar para los hijos de Israel, la herencia de ellas será agregada a la herencia de la tribu a la cual pertenezcan, y así su herencia será cortada de la herencia de la tribu de nuestros padres.”
5 Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, according to the word of the Lord, saying, The tribe of the sonnes of Ioseph haue said well.
Entonces Moisés, por mandato de Yahvé, dio esta orden a los hijos de Israel: “Ha dicho bien la tribu de los hijos de José.
6 This is the thing that the Lord hath commanded, concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, They shall be wiues, to whome they thinke best, onely to the familie of the tribe of their father shall they marry:
He aquí lo que manda Yahvé respecto de las hijas de Salfaad: Cásense como mejor les parezca, con tal que sea con una familia de la tribu de su padre,
7 So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remoue from tribe to tribe, for euery one of the children of Israel shall ioyne himselfe to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
para que la herencia de los hijos de Israel no pase de una tribu a la otra; así que los hijos de Israel queden vinculados cada uno con la herencia de la tribu de sus padres.
8 And euery daughter that possesseth any inheritance of the tribes of the children of Israel, shalbe wife vnto one of the familie of the tribe of her father: that the children of Israel may enioye euery man the inheritance of their fathers.
Toda hija que tenga herencia en una de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, se casará dentro de la familia de la tribu de su padre; a fin de que los hijos de Israel conserven cada uno la herencia de sus padres.
9 Neither shall the inheritance go about from tribe to tribe: but euery one of the tribes of the childre of Israel shall sticke to his own inheritace.
Ninguna herencia pasará de una tribu a otra, sino que las tribus de los hijos de Israel conserven cada una su herencia.”
10 As the Lord commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad.
Como había mandado Yahvé a Moisés, así lo hicieron las hijas de Salfaad;
11 For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah the daughters of Zelophehad were married vnto their fathers brothers sonnes,
de modo que Maalá, Tirsá, Hoglá, Milcá y Noá, las hijas de Salfaad, se casaron con hijos de sus tíos.
12 They were wiues to certaine of the families of the sonnes of Manasseh the sonne of Ioseph: so their inheritance remained in the tribe of the familie of their father.
Se casaron en familia de los hijos de Manasés, hijo de José; y quedó su herencia en la tribu de la familia de su padre.
13 These are the commandements and lawes which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, vnto the children of Israel in the plaine of Moab, by Iorden toward Iericho.
Estos son los preceptos y las leyes que prescribió Yahvé, por boca de Moisés, a los hijos de Israel, en las campiñas de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó.
