Numbers 36

1 Then the chiefe fathers of the familie of the sonnes of Gilead, the sonne of Machir, the sonne of Manasseh, of the families of the sones of Ioseph, came, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chiefe fathers of the children of Israel,

E chegaram os cabeças dos pais da geração dos filhos de Gilead, filho de Machir, filho de Manasseh, das famílias dos filhos de José, e falaram diante de Moisés, e diante dos maiorais, cabeças dos pais dos filhos de Israel,

2 And saide, The Lord commanded my lord to giue the land to inherit by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the Lord, to giue the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother vnto his daughters.

E disseram: O Senhor mandou dar esta terra a meu senhor por sorte, por herança aos filhos de Israel: e a meu senhor foi ordenado pelo Senhor, que a herança do nosso irmão Selofad se desse a suas filhas.

3 If they bee married to any of the sonnes of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and shalbe put vnto the inheritance of the tribe whereof they shalbe: so shall it be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.

E, casando-se elas com algum dos filhos das outras tribos dos filhos de Israel, então a sua herança seria diminuida da herança de nossos pais, e acrescentada à herança da tribo de quem forem: assim se tiraria da sorte da nossa herança.

4 Also when the Iubile of the children of Israel commeth, then shall their inheritance be put vnto the inheritance of the tribe whereof they shall be: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

Vindo também o ano do jubileu dos filhos de Israel, a sua herança se acrescentaria à herança da tribo daqueles com que se casarem: assim a sua herança será tirada da herança da tribo de nossos pais.

5 Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, according to the word of the Lord, saying, The tribe of the sonnes of Ioseph haue said well.

Então Moisés deu ordem aos filhos de Israel, segundo o mandado do Senhor, dizendo: A tribo dos filhos de José fala bem.

6 This is the thing that the Lord hath commanded, concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, They shall be wiues, to whome they thinke best, onely to the familie of the tribe of their father shall they marry:

Esta é a palavra que o Senhor mandou acerca das filhas de Selofad, dizendo: Sejam por mulheres a quem bem parecer aos seus olhos, contanto que se casem na família da tribo de seu pai.

7 So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remoue from tribe to tribe, for euery one of the children of Israel shall ioyne himselfe to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

Assim a herança dos filhos de Israel não passará de tribo em tribo: pois os filhos de Israel se chegarão cada um à herança da tribo de seus pais.

8 And euery daughter that possesseth any inheritance of the tribes of the children of Israel, shalbe wife vnto one of the familie of the tribe of her father: that the children of Israel may enioye euery man the inheritance of their fathers.

E qualquer filha que herdar alguma herança das tribos dos filhos de Israel se casará com alguém da geração da tribo de seu pai: para que os filhos de Israel possuam cada um, a herança de seus pais

9 Neither shall the inheritance go about from tribe to tribe: but euery one of the tribes of the childre of Israel shall sticke to his own inheritace.

Assim a herança não passará de uma tribo a outra: pois as tribos dos filhos de Israel se chegarão cada uma à sua herança.

10 As the Lord commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad.

Como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés, assim fizeram as filhas de Selofad.

11 For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah the daughters of Zelophehad were married vnto their fathers brothers sonnes,

Pois Machla, Thirsa, e Hogla, e Milca, e Noha, filhas de Selofad, se casaram com os filhos de seus tios.

12 They were wiues to certaine of the families of the sonnes of Manasseh the sonne of Ioseph: so their inheritance remained in the tribe of the familie of their father.

Das famílias dos de Manasseh, filho de José, elas foram mulheres: assim a sua herança ficou à tribo da família de seu pai.

13 These are the commandements and lawes which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, vnto the children of Israel in the plaine of Moab, by Iorden toward Iericho.

Estes são os mandamentos e os juízos que mandou o Senhor pela mão de Moisés aos filhos de Israel nas campinas dos moabitas, junto ao Jordão de Jericó.
