Numbers 35
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses in the plaine of Moab by Iorden, toward Iericho, saying,
Y habló Jehová a Moisés en los campos de Moab junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:
2 Commande ye children of Israel, that they giue vnto the Leuites of the inheritace of their possession, cities to dwell in: yee shall giue also vnto the Leuites the suburbes of the cities round about them.
Manda a los hijos de Israel, que den a los Levitas de la posesión de su heredad ciudades en que habiten; y los ejidos de las ciudades daréis a los Levitas al derredor de ellas.
3 So they shall haue the cities to dwell in, and their suburbes shall be for their cattell, and for their substance, and for all their beasts.
Y las ciudades tendrán para habitar ellos; y los ejidos de ellas serán para sus animales, y para sus ganados, y para todas sus bestias.
4 And the suburbes of the cities, which ye shall giue vnto the Leuites, from the wall of the citie outward, shalbe a thousand cubites round about.
Y los ejidos de las ciudades, que daréis a los Levitas, estarán mil codos al derredor desde el muro de la ciudad para fuera:
5 And yee shall measure without the citie of the Eastside, two thousand cubites: and of the Southside, two thousand cubites: and of the Westside, two thousand cubites: and of ye Northside, two thousand cubites: and the citie shalbe in ye middes. this shalbe the measure of the suburbes of their cities.
Luego mediréis fuera de la ciudad a la parte del oriente dos mil codos, y a la parte del mediodía dos mil codos, y a la parte del occidente dos mil codos, y a la parte del norte dos mil codos; y la ciudad en medio: esto tendrán por los ejidos de las ciudades.
6 And of the cities which yee shall giue vnto the Leuites, there shalbe sixe cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint, that he which killeth, may flee thither: and to them yee shall adde two and fourtie cities more.
Y de las ciudades que daréis a los Levitas, seis ciudades serán de acogimiento, las cuales daréis para que el homicida se acoja allá: y allende de estas daréis cuarenta y dos ciudades.
7 All the cities which yee shall giue to the Leuites, shalbe eight and fourtie cities: them shall ye giue with their suburbes.
Todas las ciudades que daréis a los Levitas serán cuarenta y ocho ciudades, ellas y sus ejidos.
8 And concerning the cities which yee shall giue, of the possession of the children of Israel: of many ye shall take more, and of few ye shall take lesse: euery one shall giue of his cities vnto the Leuites, according to his inheritance, which hee inheriteth.
Y las ciudades que diéreis de la heredad de los hijos de Israel, del mucho tomaréis mucho, y del poco tomaréis poco: cada uno dará de sus ciudades a los Levitas según la posesión que heredará.
9 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Ítem, Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:
10 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When ye be come ouer Iorden into the land of Canaan,
Habla a los hijos de Israel, y díles: Cuando hubiereis pasado el Jordán a la tierra de Canaán,
11 Ye shall appoint you cities, to bee cities of refuge for you, that the slayer, which slayeth any person vnwares, may flee thither.
Señalaros heis ciudades: ciudades de acogimiento tendréis, donde huya el homicida, que hiriere a alguno por yerro.
12 And these cities shalbe for you a refuge from the auenger, that he which killeth, die not, vntill he stand before the Congregation in iudgement.
Y seros han aquellas ciudades por acogimiento del pariente, y no morirá el homicida hasta que esté a juicio delante de la congregación.
13 And of the cities which ye shall giue, sixe cities shall ye haue for refuge.
Y de las ciudades que daréis, tendréis seis ciudades de acogimiento.
14 Ye shall appoint three on this side Iorden, and ye shall appoint three cities in the lande of Canaan which shalbe cities of refuge.
Las tres ciudades daréis de esta parte del Jordán, y las otras tres ciudades daréis en la tierra de Canaán, las cuales serán ciudades de acogimiento.
15 These six cities shalbe a refuge for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for him that dwelleth among you, that euery one which killeth any person vnwares, may flee thither.
Estas seis ciudades serán para acogimiento a los hijos de Israel, y al peregrino, y al que morará entre ellos, para que huya allá cualquiera que hiriere a otro por yerro.
16 And if one smite another with an instrument of yron that hee die, hee is a murtherer, and the murtherer shall die the death.
Y si con instrumento de hierro le hiriere, y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.
17 Also if hee smite him by casting a stone, wherewith hee may be slaine, and he die, hee is a murtherer, and the murtherer shall die the death.
Y si con piedra de mano de que pueda morir, le hiriere, y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.
18 Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may be slaine, if he die, he is a murtherer, and the murtherer shall die the death.
Y si con instrumento de palo de mano, de que pueda morir, le hiriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.
19 The reuenger of the blood himselfe shall slay the murtherer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.
El redimidor de la sangre, él matará al homicida; cuando le encontrare, él le matará.
20 But if hee thrust him of hate, or hurle at him by laying of wait, that he die,
Y si con odio le rempujó, o echó sobre él alguna cosa por asechanzas, y murió:
21 Or smite him through enimitie with his hand, that he die, he that smote him shall die ye death: for hee is a murtherer: the reuenger of the blood shall slay the murtherer when he meeteth him.
O por enemistad le hirió con su mano, y murió, el heridor morirá, homicida es; el redimidor de la sangre matará al homicida, cuando le encontrare.
22 But if he pusshed him vnaduisedly, and not of hatred, or cast vpon him any thing, without laying of waite,
Mas si a caso sin enemistades le rempujó, o echó sobre él cualquiera instrumento sin asechanzas,
23 Or any stone (whereby he might be slaine) and sawe him not, or caused it to fall vpon him, and he die, and was not his enemie, neither sought him any harme,
O hizo caer sobre él alguna piedra, de que pudo morir, sin verle, y muriere, y él no era su enemigo ni procuraba su mal,
24 Then the Congregation shall iudge betweene the slayer and the auenger of blood according to these lawes.
Entonces la congregación juzgará entre el heridor y el redimidor de la sangre conforme a estas leyes.
25 And the Congregation shall deliuer the slayer out of the hande of the auenger of blood, and the Congregation shall restore him vnto the citie of his refuge, whither hee was fled: and hee shall abide there vnto the death of the hie Priest, which is anointed with the holy oyle.
Y la congregación librará al homicida de mano del redimidor de la sangre, y la congregación le hará volver a su ciudad de acogimiento, a la cual se había acogido, y morará en ella hasta que muera el gran sacerdote, el cual fue ungido con el santo aceite.
26 But if the slayer come without the borders of the citie of his refuge, whither he was fled,
Y si saliendo saliere el homicida del término de su ciudad de acogimiento, a la cual se acogió,
27 And the reuenger of blood finde him without the borders of the citie of his refuge, and the reueger of blood slay ye murtherer, he shalbe giltles,
Y el redimidor de la sangre le hallare fuera del término de la ciudad de su acogimiento, y el redimidor de la sangre matare al homicida, no habrá por ello muerte.
28 Because he should haue remained in the citie of his refuge, vntill the death of the hie Priest: and after the death of the hie Priest, the slayer shall returne vnto the land of his possession.
Mas en su ciudad de acogimiento habitará hasta que muera el gran sacerdote: y después que muriere el gran sacerdote el homicida volverá a la tierra de su posesión.
29 So these thinges shall be a lawe of iudgement vnto you, throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
Y estas cosas os serán por ordenanza de derecho por vuestras edades en todas vuestras habitaciones.
30 Whosoeuer killeth any person, the Iudge shall slay the murtherer, through witnesses: but one witnesse shall not testifie against a person to cause him to die.
Cualquiera que hiriere a alguno, por dicho de testigos morirá el homicida, y un testigo no hablará contra persona para que muera.
31 Moreouer ye shall take no recompense for the life of the murtherer, which is worthy to die: but he shalbe put to death.
Y no tomaréis precio por la vida del homicida, porque está condenado a muerte, mas de muerte morirá.
32 Also ye shall take no recompense for him that is fled to the citie of his refuge, that he should come againe, and dwell in the lande, before the death of the hie Priest.
Ni tampoco tomaréis precio del que huyó a su ciudad de acogimiento para que vuelva a vivir en su tierra, hasta que muera el sacerdote.
33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye shall dwell: for blood defileth the land: and the land cannot be clensed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
Y no contaminaréis la tierra donde estuviereis, porque esta sangre contaminará la tierra; y la tierra no será expiada de la sangre que fue derramada en ella, sino por la sangre del que la derramó.
34 Defile not therefore the lande which yee shall inhabite, For I dwell in the middes thereof: for I the Lord dwel among the children of Israel.
No contaminéis pues la tierra donde habitáis, en medio de la cual yo habito: porque yo Jehová habito en medio de los hijos de Israel.
