Numbers 35
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses in the plaine of Moab by Iorden, toward Iericho, saying,
BOEIPA loh Moses te Jerikho Jordan kah Moab kolken ah a voek tih,
2 Commande ye children of Israel, that they giue vnto the Leuites of the inheritace of their possession, cities to dwell in: yee shall giue also vnto the Leuites the suburbes of the cities round about them.
“Israel ca rhoek te uen lamtah amih kah khohut rho lamloh Levi te pae uh saeh. Khosa ham khopuei rhoek neh a kaepvai ah khopuei kah khocaak te Levi ham pae uh saeh.
3 So they shall haue the cities to dwell in, and their suburbes shall be for their cattell, and for their substance, and for all their beasts.
Te daengah ni amih khosa rhoek ham khaw khopuei om vetih a rhamsa ham neh a khuehtawn ham khaw, a mulhing cungkuem ham khaw a khocaak a om eh.
4 And the suburbes of the cities, which ye shall giue vnto the Leuites, from the wall of the citie outward, shalbe a thousand cubites round about.
Khopuei kah khocaak te khopuei pangbueng lamloh vongvoel kaepvai dong thawngkhat hil tah Levi taengah pae uh.
5 And yee shall measure without the citie of the Eastside, two thousand cubites: and of the Southside, two thousand cubites: and of the Westside, two thousand cubites: and of ye Northside, two thousand cubites: and the citie shalbe in ye middes. this shalbe the measure of the suburbes of their cities.
Te dongah khopuei kah vongvoel lamloh khothoeng ben te dong thawng hnih, tuithim ben te dong thawng hnih, khotlak ben te dong thawng hnih, tlangpuei ben te dong thawng hnih suem pah. A laklung kah khopuei tah amih ham khopuei kah khocaak la om saeh.
6 And of the cities which yee shall giue vnto the Leuites, there shalbe sixe cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint, that he which killeth, may flee thither: and to them yee shall adde two and fourtie cities more.
Khopuei khuiah khaw hlipyingnah khopuei parhuk te Levi taengah pae uh. Te te hlang aka ngawn tah te la rhaelrham sak ham pae uh. Amih te khopuei sawmli panit pae uh.
7 All the cities which yee shall giue to the Leuites, shalbe eight and fourtie cities: them shall ye giue with their suburbes.
Levi taengah na paek uh khopuei boeih amih kah khocaak nen tah kho sawmli parhet lo saeh.
8 And concerning the cities which yee shall giue, of the possession of the children of Israel: of many ye shall take more, and of few ye shall take lesse: euery one shall giue of his cities vnto the Leuites, according to his inheritance, which hee inheriteth.
Khopuei te Israel ca kah khohut khui lamloh pae uh. A yet taeng lamkah tah kum sak uh lamtah a sii taeng lamkah tah sih pa uh. Hlang long he amah rho dongkah olka tarhing ah a pang vanbangla a khopuei khui lamkah te Levi taengah pae saeh,” a ti nah.
9 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
BOEIPA loh Moses te a voek tih,
10 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When ye be come ouer Iorden into the land of Canaan,
“Israel ca rhoek te voek lamtah amih te thui pah. Nangmih te Kanaan kho khuila Jordan na kat uh vaengah,
11 Ye shall appoint you cities, to bee cities of refuge for you, that the slayer, which slayeth any person vnwares, may flee thither.
Namamih ham khopuei kang uh lamtah nangmih ham hlipyingnah khopuei la om saeh. Te daengah ni tohtamaeh ah hinglu a boh tih aka ngawn loh te lam a rhaelrham eh.
12 And these cities shalbe for you a refuge from the auenger, that he which killeth, die not, vntill he stand before the Congregation in iudgement.
Te vaengah khopuei rhoek te nangmih taengah hinglu aka suk taeng lamloh hlipyingnah la om saeh. Te daengah ni laitloeknah dongah rhaengpuei mikhmuh la a pai hlan hilah hlang aka ngawn te a duek pawt eh.
13 And of the cities which ye shall giue, sixe cities shall ye haue for refuge.
Khopuei parhuk na paek uh te nangmih ham hlipyingnah khopuei la om saeh.
14 Ye shall appoint three on this side Iorden, and ye shall appoint three cities in the lande of Canaan which shalbe cities of refuge.
Khopuei pathum te Jordan kah rhalvangan ah pae uh lamtah khopuei pathum te Kanaan khohmuen ah pae uh.
15 These six cities shalbe a refuge for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for him that dwelleth among you, that euery one which killeth any person vnwares, may flee thither.
Israel ca rhoek ham neh yinlai ham khaw, amih lakli kah lampah ham khaw hlipyingnah khopuei la om saeh. Khopuei parhuk he tah tohtamaeh ah hinglu aka ngawn boeih loh a rhaelrham vaengah hlipyingnah la om saeh.”
16 And if one smite another with an instrument of yron that hee die, hee is a murtherer, and the murtherer shall die the death.
“Tedae aka ngawn long khaw anih te thi hnopai neh a boh tih a duek sak atah hlang aka ngawn te duek rhoe duek saeh.
17 Also if hee smite him by casting a stone, wherewith hee may be slaine, and he die, hee is a murtherer, and the murtherer shall die the death.
Aka ngawn loh a kut dongkah lungto neh a duek la a thuk tih a duek atah hlang aka ngawn amah te duek rhoe duek saeh.
18 Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may be slaine, if he die, he is a murtherer, and the murtherer shall die the death.
Hlang aka ngawn loh a kut kah thing hnopai nen khaw a duek la a boh tih a duek atah hlang aka ngawn amah te duek rhoe duek saeh.
19 The reuenger of the blood himselfe shall slay the murtherer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.
Thii aka suk amah loh hlang aka ngawn te duek sak saeh. Anih te amah neh a hum uh vaengah amah loh anih te duek sak saeh.
20 But if hee thrust him of hate, or hurle at him by laying of wait, that he die,
Hmuhuetnah neh a thaek, rhongngolnah neh anih te a dae tih a duek atah,
21 Or smite him through enimitie with his hand, that he die, he that smote him shall die ye death: for hee is a murtherer: the reuenger of the blood shall slay the murtherer when he meeteth him.
thunkha thunhling la anih te a kut neh a thoek tih a duek atah aka thoek te duek rhoe duek saeh. Hlang aka ngawn thii aka suk amah neh a hum uh vaengah hlang aka ngawn te duek sak saeh.”
22 But if he pusshed him vnaduisedly, and not of hatred, or cast vpon him any thing, without laying of waite,
“Tedae thunkha thunhling pawt ah buengrhuet la a thaek akhaw, rhongngolnah om pawt ah khaw, hnopai khat khat neh anih te a dae khaming,
23 Or any stone (whereby he might be slaine) and sawe him not, or caused it to fall vpon him, and he die, and was not his enemie, neither sought him any harme,
lungto nen khaw a duek sak khaming. A hmuh pawt vaengah anih te a tlak thil tih a duek oeh atah anih te thunkha aih pawt tih a boethae a tlap aih moenih.
24 Then the Congregation shall iudge betweene the slayer and the auenger of blood according to these lawes.
Te dongah rhaengpuei loh hlang aka ngawn neh thii phu aka suk laklo ah he kah laitloeknah bangla laitloek uh saeh.
25 And the Congregation shall deliuer the slayer out of the hande of the auenger of blood, and the Congregation shall restore him vnto the citie of his refuge, whither hee was fled: and hee shall abide there vnto the death of the hie Priest, which is anointed with the holy oyle.
Te vaengah rhaengpuei loh hlang aka ngawn te thii phu aka suk kut lamloh huul saeh. Rhaengpuei loh anih te a hlipyingnah khopuei la thak uh saeh lamtah rhaelrham saeh. Tedae Hmuencim kah situi neh a koelh khosoih ham a dueknah rhi hil tah te ah te khosa saeh.”
26 But if the slayer come without the borders of the citie of his refuge, whither he was fled,
“Tedae hlang aka ngawn te a hlipyingnah khopuei la rhaelrham tih khorhi te a poe khaw a poe khaming.
27 And the reuenger of blood finde him without the borders of the citie of his refuge, and the reueger of blood slay ye murtherer, he shalbe giltles,
Te vaengah anih te thii aka suk loh a hlipyingnah khopuei rhi kah vongvoel ah a hmuh tih thii aka suk loh a ngawn atah aka ngawn te a taengah thii long boel saeh.
28 Because he should haue remained in the citie of his refuge, vntill the death of the hie Priest: and after the death of the hie Priest, the slayer shall returne vnto the land of his possession.
Khosoih ham a dueknah rhi hil tah a hlipyingnah khopuei ah khosa saeh. Tedae khosoih ham a dueknah hnukah tah hlang aka ngawn te amah kah khohut khohmuen la mael saeh.
29 So these thinges shall be a lawe of iudgement vnto you, throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
He rhoek he nangmih ham neh na cadilcahma ham khaw na tolrhum boeih ah laitloeknah khosing la om saeh.”
30 Whosoeuer killeth any person, the Iudge shall slay the murtherer, through witnesses: but one witnesse shall not testifie against a person to cause him to die.
“Hinglu aka ngawn boeih tah laipai olka kah bangla hlang aka ngawn te ngawn saeh. Tedae laipai pakhat bueng neh hinglu te duek sak ham doo boel saeh.
31 Moreouer ye shall take no recompense for the life of the murtherer, which is worthy to die: but he shalbe put to death.
Hlang aka ngawn kah hinglu ham tlansum te doe uh boeh. Amah a duek hamla aka halang te tah duek rhoe duek saeh.
32 Also ye shall take no recompense for him that is fled to the citie of his refuge, that he should come againe, and dwell in the lande, before the death of the hie Priest.
Khosoih a dueknah rhi hil tah a hlipyingnah khopuei la rhaelrham ham neh khohmuen kah khosa la mael sak ham tlansum te lo boeh.”
33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye shall dwell: for blood defileth the land: and the land cannot be clensed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
“Thii loh khohmuen te a poeih coeng dongah a khuiah nangmih loh khohmuen te poeih uh boeh. A soah thii te a long coeng dongah thii aka long sak kah thii nen pawt atah khohmuen ham a dawth thai moenih.
34 Defile not therefore the lande which yee shall inhabite, For I dwell in the middes thereof: for I the Lord dwel among the children of Israel.
A khuiah kho aka sa nangmih loh te kah khohmuen te poeih uh boeh. Kai he a khui ah kho ka sak. Kai YAHWEH he Israel ca rhoek a laklung ah kho ka sak,” a ti nah.
