Numbers 34
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
L’Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:
2 Commande the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When yee come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall vnto your inheritance: that is, the land of Canaan with the coastes thereof.
“Da’ quest’ordine ai figliuoli d’Israele, e di’ loro: Quando entrerete nel paese di Canaan, questo sarà il paese che vi toccherà come eredità: il paese di Canaan, di cui ecco i confini:
3 And your Southquarter shalbe from the wildernesse of Zin to the borders of Edom: so that your Southquarter shall be from the salt Sea coast Eastwarde:
la vostra regione meridionale comincerà al deserto di Tsin, vicino a Edom; così la vostra frontiera meridionale partirà dalla estremità del mar Salato, verso oriente;
4 And the border shall compasse you from the South to Maaleh-akrabbim, and reach to Zin, and goe out from the South to Kadesh-barnea: thence it shall stretch to Hazar-addar, and go along to Azmon.
e questa frontiera volgerà al sud della salita di Akrabbim, passerà per Tsin, e si estenderà a mezzogiorno di Kades-Barnea; poi continuerà verso Hatsar-Addar, e passerà per Atsmon.
5 And the border shall compasse from Azmon vnto the riuer of Egypt, and shall goe out to the Sea.
Da Atsmon la frontiera girerà fino al torrente d’Egitto, e finirà al mare.
6 And your Westquarter shall bee the great Sea: euen that border shalbe your Westcoast.
La vostra frontiera a occidente sarà il mar grande: quella sarà la vostra frontiera occidentale.
7 And this shall bee your Northquarter: yee shall marke out your border from the great Sea vnto mount Hor.
E questa sarà la vostra frontiera settentrionale: partendo dal mar grande, la traccerete fino al monte Hor;
8 From mount Hor ye shall point out till it come vnto Hamath, and the end of the coast shall be at Zedad.
dal monte Hor la traccerete fin là dove s’entra in Hamath, e l’estremità della frontiera sarà a Tsedad;
9 And the coast shall reach out to Ziphron, and goe out at Hazar-enan. this shalbe your Northquarter.
la frontiera continuerà fino a Zifron, per finire a Hatsar-Enan: questa sarà la vostra frontiera settentrionale.
10 And ye shall marke out your Eastquarter from Hazar-enan to Shepham.
Traccerete la vostra frontiera orientale da Hatsar-Enan a Scefam;
11 And the coast shall goe downe from Shepham to Riblah, and from the Eastside of Ain: and the same border shall descend and goe out at the side of the sea of Chinneereth Eastward.
la frontiera scenderà da Scefam verso Ribla, a oriente di Ain; poi la frontiera scenderà, e si estenderà lungo il mare di Kinnereth, a oriente;
12 Also that border shall goe downe to Iorden, and leaue at the salt Sea. this shalbe your land with the coastes thereof round about.
poi la frontiera scenderà verso il Giordano, e finirà al mar Salato. Tale sarà il vostro paese con le sue frontiere tutt’intorno”.
13 Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the lande which yee shall inherite by lot, which the Lord commanded to giue vnto nine tribes and halfe the tribe.
E Mosè trasmise quest’ordine ai figliuoli d’Israele, e disse loro: “Questo è il paese che vi distribuirete a sorte, e che l’Eterno ha ordinato si dia a nove tribù e mezzo;
14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben, according to the housholdes of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad, according to their fathers housholdes, and halfe the tribe of Manasseh, haue receiued their inheritance.
poiché la tribù de’ figliuoli di Ruben, secondo le case de’ loro padri, e la tribù dei figliuoli di Gad, secondo le case de’ loro padri, e la mezza tribù di Manasse hanno ricevuto la loro porzione.
15 Two tribes and an halfe tribe haue receiued their inheritance on this side of Iorden toward Iericho full East.
Queste due tribù e mezzo hanno ricevuto la loro porzione di qua dal Giordano di Gerico, dal lato d’oriente”.
16 Againe the Lord spake to Moses, saying,
E l’Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
17 These are the names of the men which shall deuide ye land vnto you: Eleazar the Priest, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun.
“Questi sono i nomi degli uomini che spartiranno il paese fra voi: il sacerdote Eleazar, e Giosuè, figliuolo di Nun.
18 And ye shall take also a prince of euerie tribe to deuide the land.
Prenderete anche un principe d’ogni tribù per fare la spartizione del paese.
19 The names also of the men are these: Of the tribe of Iudah, Caleb ye sonne of Iephunneh.
Ecco i nomi di questi uomini. Per la tribù di Giuda: Caleb, figliuolo di Gefunne.
20 And of the tribe of the sonnes of Simeon, Shemuel the sonne of Ammihud.
Per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Simeone: Samuele, figliuolo di Ammihud.
21 Of the tribe of Beniamin, Elidad the sonne of Chislon.
Per la tribù di Beniamino: Elidad, figliuolo di Kislon.
22 Also of the tribe of the sonnes of Dan, the prince Bukki, the sonne of Iogli.
Per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Dan: il principe Buki, figliuolo di Iogli.
23 Of the sonnes of Ioseph: of the tribe of the sonnes of Manasseh, the prince Hanniel the sonne of Ephod.
Per i figliuoli di Giuseppe: per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Manasse, il principe Hanniel, figliuolo d’Efod;
24 And of the tribe of the sonnes of Ephraim, the prince Kemuel, the sonne of Shiphtan.
e per la tribù de’ figliuoli d’Efraim, il principe Kemuel, figliuolo di Sciftan.
25 Of the tribe also of the sonnes of Zebulun, the prince Elizaphan, the sonne of Parnach.
Per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Zabulon: principe Elitsafan, figliuolo di Parnac.
26 So of the tribe of the sonnes of Issachar, the prince Paltiel the sonne of Azzan.
Per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Issacar: il principe Paltiel, figliuolo d’Azzan.
27 Of the tribe also of the sonnes of Asher, the prince Ahihud, the sonne of Shelomi.
Per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Ascer: il principe Ahihud, figliuolo di Scelomi.
28 And of the tribe of the sonnes of Naphtali, the prince Pedahel, the sonne of Ammihud.
E per la tribù de’ figliuoli di Neftali: il principe Pedahel, figliuolo d’Ammihud”.
29 These are they, whome the Lord commanded to deuide the inheritance vnto the children of Israel, in the land of Canaan.
Queste sono le persone alle quali l’Eterno ordinò di spartire il possesso del paese di Canaan tra i figliuoli d’Israele.
