Numbers 31
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Seyè a pale ak Mwiz, li di l' konsa:
2 Reuenge the children of Israel of the Midianites, and afterwarde shalt thou be gathered vnto thy people.
-Ou pral pini moun Madyan yo pou sa yo fè moun pèp Izrayèl yo pase. Apre sa, ou pral mouri pou ou al jwenn moun pa ou yo ki mouri deja.
3 And Moses spake to the people, saying, Harnesse some of you vnto warre, and let them goe against Midian, to execute the vengeance of the Lord against Midian.
Se konsa, Moyiz pale ak pèp la, li di yo konsa: -Pare kèk gason nan mitan nou pou y' al goumen, pou yo mache pran moun Madyan yo, fè yo peye sa yo fè Seyè a.
4 A thousande of euery tribe throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye sende to the warre.
N'a pran mil gason nan chak branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl la pou n' voye al goumen.
5 So there were taken out of the thousands of Israel, twelue thousande prepared vnto warre, of euery tribe a thousand.
Se konsa nan tout kantite gason ki nan pèp Izrayèl la, yo pran mil gason nan chak branch fanmi. Sa te bay douzmil (12.000) gason antou ki te pare pou al goumen.
6 And Moses sent them to the warre, euen a thousand of euery tribe, and sent them with Phinehas the sonne of Eleazar the Priest to the warre: and the holy instruments, that is, the trumpets to blow were in his hand.
Moyiz voye douzmil gason sa yo al fè lagè. Li voye ak yo Fineas, pitit gason Eleaza, prèt la, ki t'ap pote veso Bondye yo ak twonpèt pou bay siyal yo.
7 And they warred against Midian, as the Lord had commanded Moses, and slue all the males.
Yo atake moun Madyan yo jan Seyè a te bay Moyiz lòd la, yo touye tout gason yo.
8 They slue also the Kings of Midian among them that were slaine: Eui and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur and Reba fiue kings of Midian, and they slue Balaam the sonne of Beor with the sworde:
Yo touye senk wa moun Madyan yo: Evi, Rekèm, Zou, Our ak Reba. Yo touye Balaram, pitit Beyò a, tou.
9 But the children of Israel tooke the women of Midian prisoners, and their children, and spoyled all their cattell, and all their flockes, and all their goods.
Moun Izrayèl yo fè tout fanm ak tout timoun Madyan yo prizonye. Yo pase men yo pran tout bèf yo, tout mouton yo, tout kabrit yo ak tout lòt byen yo.
10 And they burnt all their cities, wherein they dwelt, and all their villages with fire.
Yo boule tout kay nan lavil yo ak tout kan kote moun yo te rete.
11 And they tooke all the spoyle and all the pray both of men and beastes.
Apre sa, yo pran tou sa yo te ranmase, tout bèt ak tout moun yo te fè prizonye yo,
12 And they brought the captiues and that which they had taken, and the spoyle vnto Moses and to Eleazar the Priest, and vnto the Congregation of the children of Israel, into ye campe in the playne of Moab, which was by Iorden toward Iericho.
yo mennen yo bay Moyiz ansanm ak Eleaza, prèt la, ak tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo ki te nan kan an, nan plenn Moab yo, lòt bò larivyè Jouden, anfas lavil Jeriko.
13 Then Moses and Eleazar the Priest, and all the princes of the Congregation went out of the campe to meete them.
Moyiz, Eleaza, prèt la ak tout chèf pèp Izrayèl yo soti nan kan an al kontre lame a.
14 And Moses was angry with the captaines of the hoste, with the captaines ouer thousands, and captaines ouer hundreds, which came from the warre and battel.
Moyiz move sou chèf reskonsab lame yo, sou chèf divizyon mil yo ak chèf konpayi san yo ki t'ap tounen soti nan lagè a.
15 And Moses sayde vnto them, What? haue ye saued all the women?
Li di yo konsa: -Poukisa nou pa touye tout medam sa yo?
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel through the counsell of Balaam to commit a trespasse against the Lord, as concerning Peor, and there came a plague among the Congregation of the Lord.
Se yo menm ki te swiv konsèy Balaram yo, se yo ki te lakòz moun pèp Izrayèl yo te vire do bay Bondye nan zafè Baal-Peyò a, kifè gwo malè nou konnen an te tonbe sou pèp Izrayèl la.
17 Now therefore, slay all the males among the children, and kill all the women that haue knowen man by carnall copulation.
Se pou nou touye tout pitit gason yo. Se pou nou touye tout fanm ki kouche ak gason deja.
18 But all the women children that haue not knowen carnall copulation, keepe aliue for your selues.
Men, n'a sove lavi tout jenn fi ki poko janm kouche ak gason. N'a pran yo pou nou.
19 And ye shall remaine without the host seuen dayes, all that haue killed any person, and all that haue touched any dead, and purifie both your selues and your prisoners the third day and the seuenth.
Men, nou menm ki touye moun osinon ki manyen kadav moun mouri, nou pral rete sèt jou andeyò limit kan an. Sou twazyèm jou a ak sou setyèm jou a n'a fè sèvis pou mete nou nan kondisyon, nou menm ak tout prizonye nou yo, pou nou ka fè sèvis Bondye.
20 Also ye shall purifie euery garment and all that is made of skins and al worke of goates heare, and all things made of wood.
N'a fè sèvis pou mete tout rad ak tout bagay ki fèt ak po bèt, bagay ki fèt ak pwal kabrit, bagay ki fèt an bwa, nan kondisyon pou moun k'ap sèvi Bondye ka sèvi ak yo.
21 And Eleazar ye Priest sayd vnto the men of warre, which went to the battel, This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord commanded Moses,
Eleaza, prèt la, pale ak mesye ki te tounen soti nan lagè yo. Li di yo konsa: -Men yon regleman nou jwenn nan lòd Seyè a te bay Moyiz.
22 As for gold, and siluer, brasse, yron, tynne, and lead:
Tout moso lò, tout moso ajan, tout bout fè, tout moso kwiv, tout moso plon,
23 Euen all that may abide the fire, yee shall make it goe through the fire, and it shalbe cleane: yet, it shalbe purified with the water of purification: and all that suffereth not the fire, yee shall cause to passe by the water.
tou sa ki pa ka boule nan dife, n'a pase yo nan dife pou yo ka nan kondisyon sèvi pou moun k'ap sèvi Bondye. Men tou sa ki ka boule nan dife, se nan dlo yo mete apa pou sa a n'a pase yo pou yo ka nan kondisyon sèvi pou moun k'ap sèvi Bondye.
24 Ye shall wash also your clothes the seuenth day, and ye shalbe cleane: and afterward ye shall come into the Hoste.
Sou setyèm jou a, n'a lave rad ki sou nou yo. Konsa n'a nan kondisyon pou nou fè sèvis Bondye. Se lè sa a n'a ka antre nan kan an.
25 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Seyè a pale ak Moyiz, li di l' konsa:
26 Take the summe of the praie that was taken, both of persons and of cattell, thou and Eleazar the Priest, and the chiefe fathers of the Congregation.
-Ou menm, Moyiz ak Eleaza, prèt la, ansanm ak tout lòt chèf pèp Izrayèl yo, n'a konte tou sa lame a te ranmase nan lagè a, san bliye bèt yo ak prizonye yo.
27 And deuide the praye betweene the souldiers that went to the warre, and all the Congregation.
Apre sa, n'a separe tout bagay mwatye pou mwatye, mwatye pou moun ki te al goumen yo, mwatye pou rès moun pèp Izrayèl yo.
28 And thou shalt take a tribute vnto ye Lord of the men of warre, which went out to battel: one person of fiue hundreth, both of the persons, and of the beeues, and of the asses, and of the sheepe.
Nan mwatye ki pou moun ki te al goumen yo, n'a wete yon pòsyon ki va tankou yon taks y'a peye pou Seyè a: sou chak senksan (500) moun, sou chak senksan bèt menm kalite, bèf, bourik, mouton, kabrit, w'a wete yonn pou Seyè a.
29 Yee shall take it of their halfe and giue it vnto Eleazar the Priest, as an heaue offring of the Lord.
Sa w'a wete nan mwatye ki pou moun ki te al goumen yo, w'a bay Eleaza, prèt la, tankou yon bagay yo pran pou Seyè a.
30 But of the halfe of the children of Israel thou shalt take one, taken out of fiftie, both of the persons, of the beeues, of the asses, and of the sheepe, euen of all the cattel: and thou shalt giue them vnto the Leuites, which haue the charge of the Tabernacle of the Lord.
Sou lòt mwatye ki rete pou rès moun pèp Izrayèl la, w'a pran yonn sou chak senkant moun, sou chak senkant bèt menm kalite, bèf, bourik, mouton, kabrit. Epi w'a bay moun Levi yo ki reskonsab Tant Randevou Seyè a.
31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Moyiz ak Eleaza, prèt la, te fè tout bagay jan Seyè a te bay Moyiz lòd fè a.
32 And the bootie, to wit, the rest of the praie which the men of warre had spoyled, was sixe hundreth seuentie and fiue thousand sheepe,
San konte sa sòlda yo te pran pou yo menm, men sa yo te pran nan men lènmi yo epi yo te pote bay Moyiz: sisanswasannkenzmil (675.000) mouton ak kabrit,
33 And seuentie and two thousand beeues,
swasanndouzmil (72.000) bèf,
34 And three score and one thousand asses,
swasanteyenmil (61.000) bourik,
35 And two and thirtie thousande persons in all, of women that had lyen by no man.
tranndemil (32.000) jenn fi ki poko janm kouche ak gason.
36 And the halfe, to wit, the part of them that went out to warre touching the nomber of sheepe, was three hundreth seuen and thirtie thousand, and fiue hundreth.
Yo pran mwatye ladan yo bay sòlda ki te al goumen yo. Epi yo wete sa ki pou Seyè a ladan l'. Sa te fè twasantrannsètmil senksan (337.500) mouton ak kabrit,
37 And the Lordes tribute of the sheepe was sixe hundreth and seuentie and fiue:
ak sisanswasannkenz (675) ladan yo pou Seyè a,
38 And the beeues were six and thirty thousad, whereof the Lordes tribute was seuentie and two.
trannsimil (36.000) bèf ak swasanndouz ladan yo pou Seyè a,
39 And the asses were thirtie thousande and fiue hundreth, whereof the Lordes tribute was three score and one:
trantmil senksan (30.500) bourik ak swasanteyen ladan yo pou Seyè a,
40 And of persons sixtene thousand, whereof the Lordes tribute was two and thirtie persons.
sèzmil (16.000) jenn fi ak trannde ladan yo pou Seyè a.
41 And Moses gaue the tribute of the Lordes offring vnto Eleazar the Priest, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Se konsa, Moyiz renmèt bay Eleaza, prèt la, tou sa yo te wete pou Seyè a, jan Seyè a te bay Moyiz lòd la.
42 And of the halfe of the children of Israel, which Moses deuided from the men of warre,
Lòt mwatye a te pou rès pèp Izrayèl la. Lè Moyiz fin wete sa ki te pou sòlda yo,
43 (For the halfe that perteined vnto the Congregation, was three hundreth thirtie and seuen thousand sheepe and fiue hundreth,
men sa ki te rete: twasantrannsètmil senksan (337.500) mouton ak kabrit,
44 And sixe and thirtie thousand beeues,
trannsimil (36.000) bèf,
45 And thirtie thousand asses, and fiue hudreth,
trantmil senksan (30.500) bourik ak
46 And sixteene thousande persons)
sèzmil (16.000) jenn fi.
47 Moses, I say, tooke of the halfe that perteined vnto the children of Israel, one taken out of fiftie, both of the persons, and of the cattell, and gaue them vnto the Leuites, which haue the charge of the Tabernacle of the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Sou mwatye ki te pou rès moun pèp Izrayèl la, Moyiz pran yon moun sou chak senkant moun ak yon bèt sou chak senkant bèt menm kalite, li bay moun Levi yo ki te reskonsab tant Seyè a, jan Seyè a te bay Moyiz lòd la.
48 Then the captaines which were ouer thousandes of the hoste, the captaines ouer the thousandes, and the captaines ouer the hundreds came vnto Moses:
Lè sa a, tout moun ki te chèf lame a, chèf divizyon mil yo ak chèf konpayi san yo, yo tout vin jwenn Moyiz.
49 And saide to Moses, Thy seruants haue taken the summe of the men of warre which are vnder our authoritie, and there lacketh not one man of vs.
Epi yo di l': -Nou konte kantite sòlda ki te sou kont nou yo, nou jwenn yo tout la.
50 We haue therefore brought a present vnto the Lord, what euery man found of iewels of golde, bracelets, and cheines, rings, eare ringes, and ornaments of the legges, to make an atonement for our soules before the Lord.
Se poutèt sa, n'ap pote tout bijou lò nou te jwenn epi nou te pran: braslè, chennèt, bag, zanno, chenn ak meday, n'ap ofri yo bay Seyè a pou li ka fè nou gras.
51 And Moses and Eleazar the Priest tooke the golde of them, and all wrought iewels,
Moyiz ak Eleaza, prèt la, resevwa tout bijou lò yo te pote yo.
52 And all the golde of the offring that they offered vp to the Lord (of the captaines ouer thousands and hundreds) was sixteene thousande seuen hundreth and fiftie shekels,
Sa te fè katsan (400) liv konsa chèf divizyon mil yo ak chèf konpayi san yo te pote bay Moyiz ak Eleaza ki te resevwa yo pou Seyè a.
53 (For the men of warre had spoyled, euery man for him selfe)
Men, sòlda yo menm te kenbe sa yo te pran pou tèt pa yo.
54 And Moses and Eleazar the Priest tooke the golde of the captaines ouer the thousandes, and ouer the hundreds, and brought it into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, for a memoriall of the children of Israel before the Lord.
Se konsa Moyiz ak Eleaza, prèt la, pran lò chèf divizyon mil ak chèf konpayi san yo te pote ba yo a, yo pote l' nan Tant Randevou a, pou Seyè a te ka toujou chonje pwoteje pèp Izrayèl la.
