Numbers 23
1 And Balaam sayd vnto Balak, Builde me here seuen altars, and prepare me here seuen bullockes, and seuen rammes.
E Balaão disse a Balaque: Edifica para mim aqui sete altares, e prepara-me aqui sete bezerros e sete carneiros.
2 And Balak did as Balaam sayd, and Balak and Balaam offred on euery altar a bullocke and a ramme.
E Balaque fez como lhe disse Balaão: e ofereceram Balaque e Balaão um bezerro e um carneiro em cada altar.
3 Then Balaam sayde vnto Balak, Stande by the burnt offring, and I will goe, if so be that the Lord will come and meete me: and whatsoeuer he sheweth me, I will tell thee: so he went forth alone.
E Balaão disse a Balaque: Põe-te junto a teu holocausto, e eu irei: talvez o SENHOR me virá ao encontro, e qualquer um coisa que me mostrar, eu a contarei a ti. E assim se foi só.
4 And God met Balaam, and Balaam sayd vnto him, I haue prepared seuen altars, and haue offred vpon euery altar a bullocke and a ramme.
E veio Deus ao encontro de Balaão, e este lhe disse: Sete altares ordenei, e em cada altar ofereci um bezerro e um carneiro.
5 And the Lord put an answere in Balaams mouth, and sayde, Go againe to Balak, and say on this wise.
E o SENHOR pôs palavra na boca de Balaão, e disse-lhe: Volta a Balaque, e hás de falar assim.
6 So when he returned vnto him, loe, hee stoode by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.
E voltou a ele, e eis que estava ele junto a seu holocausto, ele e todos os príncipes de Moabe.
7 Then he vttered his parable, and sayde, Balak the king of Moab hath brought mee from Aram out of the mountaines of the East, saying, Come, curse Iaakob for my sake: come, and detest Israel.
E ele tomou sua parábola, e disse: De Arã me trouxe Balaque, rei de Moabe, dos montes do oriente: Vem, amaldiçoa para mim a Jacó; E vem, condena a Israel.
8 How shall I curse, where God hath not cursed? or howe shall I detest, where the Lord hath not detested?
Por que amaldiçoarei eu ao que Deus não amaldiçoou? E por que condenarei ao que o SENHOR não condenou?
9 For from the top of the rocks I did see him, and from the hils I did beholde him: lo, the people shall dwell by themselues, and shall not be reckened among the nations.
Porque do cume das penhas o verei, E desde as colinas o olharei: Eis aqui um povo que habitará confiante, e não será contado entre as nações.
10 Who can tell the dust of Iaakob, and the nomber of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last ende be like his.
Quem contará o pó de Jacó, Ou o número da quarta parte de Israel? Morra minha pessoa da morte dos corretos, E meu fim seja como o seu.
11 Then Balak saide vnto Balaam, What hast thou done vnto mee? I tooke thee to curse mine enemies, and beholde, thou hast blessed them altogether.
Então Balaque disse a Balaão: Que me fizeste? Tomei-te para que amaldiçoes a meus inimigos, e eis que proferiste bênçãos.
12 And he answered, and said, Must I not take heede to speake that, which the Lord hath put in my mouth?
E ele respondeu, e disse: Não observarei eu o que o SENHOR puser em minha boca para dizê-lo?
13 And Balak sayde vnto him, Come, I pray thee, with mee vnto another place, whence thou mayest see them, and thou shalt see but the vtmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: therefore curse them out of that place for my sake.
E disse Balaque: Rogo-te que venhas comigo a outro lugar desde o qual o vejas; sua extremidade somente verás, que não o verás todo; e desde ali me o amaldiçoarás.
14 And he brought him into Sede-sophim to the top of Pisgah, and built seuen altars, and offred a bullocke, and a ramme on euery altar.
E levou-o ao campo de Zofim, ao cume de Pisga, e edificou sete altares, e ofereceu um bezerro e um carneiro em cada altar.
15 After, he sayde vnto Balak, Stande here by thy burnt offring, and I wil meete the Lord yonder.
Então ele disse a Balaque: Põe-te aqui junto a teu holocausto, e eu irei a encontrar a Deus ali.
16 And the Lord mette Balaam, and put an answere in his mouth, and sayd, Goe againe vnto Balak, and say thus.
E o SENHOR saiu ao encontro de Balaão, e pôs palavra em sua boca, e disse-lhe: Volta a Balaque, e assim dirás.
17 And when he came to him, beholde, hee stoode by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him: so Balak sayde vnto him, What hath the Lord sayd?
E veio a ele, e eis que ele estava junto a seu holocausto, e com ele os príncipes de Moabe: e disse-lhe Balaque: Que disse o SENHOR?
18 And he vttered his parable, and sayde, Rise vp, Balak, and heare: hearken vnto me, thou sonne of Zippor.
Então ele tomou sua parábola, e disse: Balaque, levanta-te e ouve; Escuta minhas palavras, filho de Zipor:
19 God is not as man, that he should lie, neither as the sonne of man that he shoulde repent: hath he sayde and shall he not do it? and hath he spoken, and shall he not accomplish it?
Deus não é homem, para que minta; nem filho de homem para que se arrependa: ele disse, e não fará?; Falou, e não o executará?
20 Behold, I haue receiued commandement to blesse: for he hath blessed, and I cannot alter it.
Eis que, eu tomei bênção: E ele abençoou, e não poderei revogá-la.
21 Hee seeth none iniquitie in Iaakob, nor seeth no transgression in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the ioyfull shoute of a king is among them.
Não notou iniquidade em Jacó, nem viu perversidade em Israel: o SENHOR seu Deus é com ele, E júbilo de rei nele.
22 God brought them out of Egypt: their strength is as an vnicorne.
Deus os tirou do Egito; Tem forças como de boi selvagem.
23 For there is no sorcerie in Iaakob, nor soothsaying in Israel: according to this time it shalbe sayde of Iaakob and of Israel, What hath God wrought?
Porque em Jacó não há agouro, nem adivinhação em Israel: Como agora, será dito de Jacó e de Israel: O que fez Deus!
24 Behold, the people shall rise vp as a lyon, and lift vp himselfe as a yong lyon: hee shall not lye downe, till he eate of the pray, and till he drinke the blood of the slayne.
Eis que o povo, que como leão se levantará, E como leão se erguerá: Não se deitará até que coma a presa, E beba o sangue dos mortos.
25 Then Balak sayde vnto Balaam, Neither curse, nor blesse them at all.
Então Balaque disse a Balaão: Já que não o amaldiçoas, nem tampouco o abençoes.
26 But Balaam answered, and saide vnto Balak, Tolde not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that must I do?
E Balaão respondeu, e disse a Balaque: Não te disse que tudo o que o SENHOR me disser, aquilo tenho de fazer?
27 Againe Balak sayd vnto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I wil bring thee vnto another place, if so be it wil please God, that thou mayest thence curse them for my sake.
E disse Balaque a Balaão: Rogo-te que venhas, te levarei a outro lugar; porventura comparecerá bem a Deus que desde ali me o amaldiçoes.
28 So Balak brought Balaam vnto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Ieshmon.
E Balaque levou a Balaão ao cume de Peor, que está voltado até Jesimom.
29 Then Balaam sayde vnto Balak, Make me here seuen altars, and prepare me here seuen bullocks, and seuen rammes.
Então Balaão disse a Balaque: Edifica para mim aqui sete altares, e prepara-me aqui sete bezerros e sete carneiros.
30 And Balak did as Balaam had sayd, and offred a bullocke and a ram on euery altar.
E Balaque fez como Balaão lhe disse; e ofereceu um bezerro e um carneiro em cada altar.
