Numbers 19
1 And the Lord spake to Moses, and to Aaron, saying,
L'Eternel parla aussi à Moïse et à Aaron, en disant:
2 This is the ordinance of the lawe, which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speake vnto the children of Israel that they bring thee a red kow without blemish, wherein is no spot, vpon the which neuer came yoke.
C'est ici une ordonnance qui concerne la Loi que l'Eternel a commandée, en disant: Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et [leur] dis; qu'ils t'amènent une jeune vache rousse, entière, en laquelle il n'y ait point de tare, [et] qui n'ait point porté le joug.
3 And ye shall giue her vnto Eleazar ye Priest, that hee may bring her without the hoste, and cause her to be slaine before his face.
Puis vous la donnerez à Éléazar Sacrificateur, qui la mènera hors du camp, et on l'égorgera en sa présence.
4 Then shall Eleazar the Priest take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle it before the Tabernacle of the Congregation seuen times,
Ensuite Eléazar Sacrificateur, prendra de son sang avec son doigt, et fera sept fois aspersion du sang vers le devant du Tabernacle d'assignation;
5 And cause the kow to be burnt in his sight: with her skinne, and her flesh, and her blood, and her doung shall he burne her.
Et on brûlera la jeune vache en sa présence; on brûlera sa peau, sa chair, et son sang et sa fiente.
6 Then shall the Priest take cedar wood, and hyssope and skarlet lace, and cast them in the mids of the fire where the kow burneth.
Et le Sacrificateur prendra du bois de cèdre, de l'hysope, et du cramoisi, et les jettera dans le feu où sera brûlée la jeune vache.
7 Then shall the Priest wash his clothes, and he shall wash his flesh in water, and then come into the hoste, and the Priest shalbe vncleane vnto the euen.
Puis le Sacrificateur lavera ses vêtements et sa chair avec de l'eau, et après cela il rentrera au camp; et le Sacrificateur sera souillé jusqu'au soir.
8 Also he that burneth her, shall wash his clothes in water, and wash his flesh in water, and be vncleane vntill euen.
Et celui qui l'aura brûlée lavera ses vêtements avec de l'eau, il lavera aussi dans l'eau sa chair, et il sera souillé jusqu'au soir.
9 And a man, that is cleane, shall take vp the ashes of the kow, and put them without the hoste in a cleane place: and it shalbe kept for the Congregation of the children of Israel for a sprinkling water: it is a sinne offring.
Et un homme net ramassera les cendres de la jeune vache, et les mettra hors du camp en un lieu net; et elles seront gardées pour l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël; afin d'en faire l'eau de séparation; c'est une purification pour le péché.
10 Therefore he that gathereth the ashes of the kow, shall wash his clothes, and remaine vncleane vntil euen: and it shalbe vnto the children of Israel, and vnto the stranger that dwelleth among them, a statute for euer.
Et celui qui aura ramassé les cendres de la jeune vache, lavera ses vêtements, et sera souillé jusqu'au soir; et ceci sera une ordonnance perpétuelle aux enfants d'Israël, et à l'étranger qui fait son séjour parmi eux.
11 Hee that toucheth the dead body of any man, shalbe vncleane euen seuen dayes.
Celui qui touchera un corps mort de quelque personne que ce soit, sera souillé pendant sept jours.
12 Hee shall purifie himselfe therewith the third day, and the seuenth day he shall be cleane: but if he purifie not himselfe the thirde day, then the seuenth day he shall not be cleane.
Et il se purifiera avec cette eau-là le troisième jour, et le septième jour il sera net; mais s'il ne se purifie pas le troisième jour, il ne sera point net au septième jour.
13 Whosoeuer toucheth ye corps of any man that is dead, and purgeth not himselfe, defileth the Tabernacle of the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from Israel, because the sprinkling water was not sprinkled vpon him: he shall be vncleane, and his vncleannesse shall remaine still vpon him.
Quiconque aura touché le corps mort de quelque personne morte, et qui ne se sera point purifié, il a souillé le pavillon de l'Eternel; c'est pourquoi une telle personne sera retranchée d'Israël; car il sera souillé, parce que l'eau de séparation n'aura pas été répandue sur lui; sa souillure [demeure donc] encore sur lui.
14 This is the law, Whe a man dieth in a tent, all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shalbe vncleane seuen dayes,
C'est ici la Loi; quand un homme sera mort en quelque tente, quiconque entrera dans la tente, et tout ce qui [sera] dans la tente, sera souillé durant sept jours.
15 And all the vessels that bee open, which haue no couering fastened vpon them, shall be vncleane.
Aussi tout vaisseau découvert, sur lequel il n'y a point de couvercle attaché, sera souillé.
16 Also whosoeuer toucheth one that is slaine with a sworde in the fielde, or a dead person, or a bone of a dead man, or a graue, shall be vncleane seuen dayes.
Et quiconque touchera dans les champs un homme qui aura été tué par l'épée, ou quelque [autre] mort, ou quelque os d'homme, ou un sépulcre, sera souillé durant sept jours.
17 Therfore for an vncleane person they shall take of the burnt ashes of the sinne offring, and pure water shalbe put thereto in a vessel.
Et on prendra pour celui qui sera souillé, de la poudre de la jeune vache brûlée pour faire la purification, et on la mettra dans un vaisseau, avec de l'eau vive par-dessus.
18 And a cleane person shall take hyssope and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it vpon the tent, and vpon all the vessels, and on the persons that were therein, and vpon him that touched ye bone, or the slayne, or the dead, or the graue.
Puis un homme net prendra de l'hysope, et l'ayant trempée dans l'eau, il en fera aspersion sur la tente, et sur tous les vaisseaux, et sur toutes les personnes qui auront été là, et sur celui qui aura touché l'os ou l'homme tué, ou le mort, ou le sépulcre.
19 And the cleane person shall sprinkle vpon the vncleane the third day, and the seuenth day, and hee shall purifie him selfe the seuenth day, and wash his clothes, and wash himself in water, and shalbe cleane at euen.
Un homme donc qui sera net, en fera aspersion le troisième jour et le septième sur celui qui sera souillé, et le purifiera le septième jour; puis il lavera ses vêtements, et se lavera avec de l'eau, et il sera net au soir.
20 But the man that is vncleane and purifieth not himselfe, that person shalbe cut off from among the Congregation, because hee hath defiled the Sanctuarie of the Lord: and the sprinkling water hath not bene sprinkled vpon him: therefore shall he be vncleane.
Mais l'homme qui sera souillé, et qui ne se purifiera point, cet homme sera retranché du milieu de l'assemblée, parce qu'il aura souillé le Sanctuaire de l'Eternel; et l'eau de séparation n'ayant pas été répandue sur lui, il est souillé.
21 And it shalbe a perpetual lawe vnto them, that he that sprinkleth the sprinkling water, shall wash his clothes: also hee that toucheth the sprinkling water, shalbe vncleane vntill euen.
Et ceci leur sera une ordonnance perpétuelle; et celui qui aura fait aspersion de l'eau de séparation, lavera ses vêtements; et quiconque aura touché l'eau de séparation, sera souillé jusqu'au soir.
22 And whatsoeuer the vncleane person toucheth, shall be vncleane: and the person that toucheth him, shalbe vncleane vntill the euen.
Et tout ce que l'homme souillé touchera, sera souillé; et la personne qui le touchera, sera souillée jusqu'au soir.
