Numbers 13
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
At sinalita ng Panginoon kay Moises, na sinasabi,
2 Sende thou men out to search the lande of Canaan which I giue vnto the children of Israel: of euery tribe of their fathers shall ye sende a man, such as are all rulers among them.
Magsugo ka ng mga lalake na makakapaniktik sa lupain ng Canaan, na aking ibibigay sa mga anak ni Israel: isang lalake sa bawa't isa sa mga lipi ng kanilang mga magulang ay susuguin ninyo, na bawa't isa'y prinsipe sa kanila.
3 Then Moses sent them out of the wildernesse of Paran at the commandement of the Lord: all those men were heades of the children of Israel.
At sinugo sila ni Moises mula sa ilang ng Paran ayon sa utos ng Panginoon: silang lahat ay mga lalaking pangulo sa mga anak ni Israel.
4 Also their names are these: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the sonne of Zaccur:
At ito ang kanilang mga pangalan: sa lipi ni Ruben, ay si Sammua na anak ni Zaccur.
5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the sonne of Hori:
Sa lipi ni Simeon, ay si Saphat na anak ni Huri.
6 Of the tribe of Iudah, Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh:
Sa lipi ni Juda, ay si Caleb na anak ni Jephone.
7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the sonne of Ioseph:
Sa lipi ni Issachar, ay si Igal na anak ni Jose.
8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the sone of Nun:
Sa lipi ni Efraim, ay si Oseas na anak ni Nun.
9 Of the tribe of Beniamin, Palti the sonne of Raphu:
Sa lipi ni Benjamin, ay si Palti na anak ni Raphu.
10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the sone of Sodi:
Sa lipi ni Zabulon, ay si Gaddiel na anak ni Sodi.
11 Of the tribe of Ioseph, to wit, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the sonne of Susi:
Sa lipi ni Jose, sa makatuwid baga'y sa lipi ni Manases, ay si Gaddi na anak ni Susi.
12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the sonne of Gemalli:
Sa lipi ni Dan, ay si Ammiel na anak ni Gemalli.
13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the sonne of Michael:
Sa lipi ni Aser, ay si Sethur, na anak ni Michael.
14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the sonne of Vophsi:
Sa lipi ni Nephtali, ay si Nahabi na anak ni Vapsi.
15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the sonne of Machi.
Sa lipi ni Gad, ay si Geuel na anak ni Machi.
16 These are the names of the men, which Moses sent to spie out the lande: and Moses called ye name of Oshea the sonne of Nun, Iehoshua.
Ito ang mga pangalan ng mga lalake na sinugo ni Moises upang tiktikan ang lupain. At tinawag ni Moises na Josue ang anak ni Nun na si Oseas.
17 So Moses sent them to spie out the lande of Canaan, and said vnto them, Go vp this way toward the South, and go vp into the moutaines,
At sinugo sila ni Moises upang tiktikan ang lupain ng Canaan, at sinabi sa kanila, Sumampa kayo rito sa dakong Timugan at umakyat kayo sa mga bundok:
18 And consider the land what it is, and the people that dwel therein, whether they be strong or weake, either fewe or many,
At tingnan ninyo ang lupain, kung ano; at ang bayan na tumatahan doon, kung sila'y malakas o mahina, kung sila'y kaunti o marami;
19 Also what the lande is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad: and what cities they be, that they dwell in, whether they dwell in tents, or in walled townes:
At kung ano ang lupain na kanilang tinatahanan, kung mabuti o masama; at kung ano ang mga bayan na kanilang tinatahanan, kung sa mga kampamento, o sa mga nakukutaan;
20 And what the land is: whether it be fat or leane, whether there be trees therein, or not. And be of good courage, and bring of the fruite of the lande (for then was the time of the first ripe grapes)
At kung ano ang lupain, kung mataba o payat, kung mayroong kahoy o wala. At magpakatapang kayo, at magdala kayo rito ng bunga ng lupain. Ngayon ang panahon ay panahon ng mga unang hinog na ubas.
21 So they went vp, and searched out the lande, from the wildernesse of Zin vnto Rehob, to go to Hamath,
Sila nga'y umakyat, at kanilang tiniktikan ang lupain mula sa ilang ng Zin hanggang sa Rehob, sa pagpasok sa Emath.
22 And they ascended toward the South, and came vnto Hebron, where were Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak. And Hebron was built seuen yeere before Zoan in Egypt.
At sila'y umakyat sa dakong Timugan, at sila'y dumating sa Hebron; at si Aimen, si Sesai at si Talmai, na mga anak ni Anac, ay nangaroon. (Ngayon ang Hebron ay natayong pitong taon bago ang Zoan sa Egipto).
23 Then they came to the riuer of Eshcol, and cut downe thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it vpon a barre betweene two, and brought of the pomegranates and of the figges.
At sila'y dumating sa libis ng Escol, at sila'y pumutol doon ng isang sangang may isang kumpol na ubas, at dinala sa isang pingga ng dalawa; sila'y nagdala rin ng mga granada, at mga igos.
24 That place was called the riuer Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes, which the children of Israel cut downe thence.
Ang dakong yaon ay tinawag na libis ng Escol, dahil sa kumpol na kinitil ng mga anak ni Israel doon.
25 Then after fourtie dayes, they turned againe from searching of the land.
At sila'y nagbalik pagkatiktik sa lupain, sa katapusan ng apat na pung araw.
26 And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron and vnto al the Congregation of the children of Israel, in the wildernesse of Paran, to Kadesh, and brought to the, and to all the Congregation tydings, and shewed them the fruite of the lande.
At sila'y nagsiyaon at nagsiparoon kay Moises, at kay Aaron at sa buong kapisanan ng mga anak ni Israel, sa ilang ng Paran, sa Cades; at kanilang binigyang sagot sila, at ang buong kapisanan, at kanilang ipinakita sa kanila ang bunga ng lupain.
27 And they tolde him, and saide, We came vnto the land whither thou hast sent vs, and surely it floweth with milke and honie: and here is of the fruite of it.
At kanilang isinaysay sa kaniya, at sinabi, Kami ay dumating sa lupaing yaong pinaparoonan mo sa amin, at tunay na binubukalan ng gatas at pulot; at ito ang bunga niyaon.
28 Neuerthelesse the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled and exceeding great: and moreouer, we sawe the sonnes of Anak there.
Gayon man ang bayan na tumitira sa lupaing yaon ay malakas, at ang mga bayan ay nakukutaan, at napakalalaki: at saka aming nakita ang mga anak ni Anac doon.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the South countrey, and the Hittites, and the Iebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountaines, and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Iorden.
Si Amalec ay tumatahan sa lupain ng Timugan: at ang Hetheo, at ang Jebuseo, at ang Amorrheo ay tumatahan sa mga bundok: at ang Cananeo ay tumatahan sa tabi ng dagat, at sa mga pangpang ng Jordan.
30 Then Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and saide, Let vs go vp at once, and possesse it: for vndoubtedly we shall ouercome it.
At pinatahimik ni Caleb ang bayan sa harapan ni Moises, at sinabi, Ating akyating paminsan, at ating ariin; sapagka't kaya nating lupigin.
31 But the men, that went vp with him, saide, we be not able to goe vp against the people: for they are stronger then we.
Nguni't sinabi ng mga lalaking nagsiakyat na kasama niya, Hindi tayo makaaakyat laban sa bayan; sapagka't sila'y malakas kay sa atin.
32 So they brought vp an euill report of the land which they had searched for the children of Israel, saying, The lande which we haue gone through to search it out, is a land that eateth vp the inhabitants thereof: for all the people that we sawe in it, are men of great stature.
At sila'y nagdala ng masamang balita tungkol sa lupaing kanilang tiniktikan, sa mga anak ni Israel, na sinasabi, Ang lupain na aming pinaroonan upang tiktikan ay isang lupain na kinakain ang mga tumatahan doon; at lahat ng bayan na aming nakita roon, ay mga taong malalaki.
33 For there we sawe gyants, the sonnes of Anak, which come of the gyants, so that we seemed in our sight like grashoppers: and so wee were in their sight.
At doo'y aming nakita ang mga Nefilim, ang mga anak ni Anac, na mula sa mga Nefilim: at kami sa aming sariling paningin ay naging parang mga balang, at gayon din kami sa kanilang paningin.
