Numbers 13
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
| و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت: | ۱ |
2 Sende thou men out to search the lande of Canaan which I giue vnto the children of Israel: of euery tribe of their fathers shall ye sende a man, such as are all rulers among them.
| «کسان بفرست تا زمین کنعان را که به بنی‌اسرائیل دادم، جاسوسی کنند؛ یک نفر را ازهر سبط آبای ایشان که هرکدام در میان ایشان سرور باشد، بفرستید.» | ۲ |
3 Then Moses sent them out of the wildernesse of Paran at the commandement of the Lord: all those men were heades of the children of Israel.
| پس موسی به فرمان خداوند، ایشان را ازصحرای فاران فرستاد، و همه ایشان از روسای بنی‌اسرائیل بودند. | ۳ |
4 Also their names are these: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the sonne of Zaccur:
| و نامهای ایشان اینهاست: ازسبط روبین، شموع بن زکور. | ۴ |
5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the sonne of Hori:
| از سبط شمعون، شافاط بن حوری. | ۵ |
6 Of the tribe of Iudah, Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh:
| از سبط یهودا، کالیب بن یفنه. | ۶ |
7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the sonne of Ioseph:
| از سبط یساکار، یجال بن یوسف. | ۷ |
8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the sone of Nun:
| از سبطافرایم، هوشع بن نون. | ۸ |
9 Of the tribe of Beniamin, Palti the sonne of Raphu:
| از سبط بنیامین، فلطی بن رافو. | ۹ |
10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the sone of Sodi:
| از سبط زبولون، جدیئیل بن سودی. | ۱۰ |
11 Of the tribe of Ioseph, to wit, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the sonne of Susi:
| ازسبط یوسف از سبط بنی منسی، جدی بن سوسی. | ۱۱ |
12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the sonne of Gemalli:
| از سبط دان، عمیئیل بن جملی. | ۱۲ |
13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the sonne of Michael:
| از سبطاشیر، ستور بن میکائیل. | ۱۳ |
14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the sonne of Vophsi:
| از سبط نفتالی، نحبی بن وفسی. | ۱۴ |
15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the sonne of Machi.
| از سبط جاد، جاوئیل بن ماکی. | ۱۵ |
16 These are the names of the men, which Moses sent to spie out the lande: and Moses called ye name of Oshea the sonne of Nun, Iehoshua.
| این است نامهای کسانی که موسی برای جاسوسی زمین فرستاد، و موسی هوشع بن نون رایهوشوع نام نهاد. | ۱۶ |
17 So Moses sent them to spie out the lande of Canaan, and said vnto them, Go vp this way toward the South, and go vp into the moutaines,
| و موسی ایشان را برای جاسوسی زمین کنعان فرستاده، به ایشان گفت: «از اینجا به جنوب رفته، به کوهستان برآیید. | ۱۷ |
18 And consider the land what it is, and the people that dwel therein, whether they be strong or weake, either fewe or many,
| و زمین را ببینید که چگونه است و مردم را که در آن ساکنند که قوی‌اند یا ضعیف، قلیل‌اند یا کثیر. | ۱۸ |
19 Also what the lande is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad: and what cities they be, that they dwell in, whether they dwell in tents, or in walled townes:
| و زمینی که در آن ساکنند چگونه است، نیک یا بد؟ و در چه قسم شهرها ساکنند، در چادرها یا در قلعه‌ها؟ | ۱۹ |
20 And what the land is: whether it be fat or leane, whether there be trees therein, or not. And be of good courage, and bring of the fruite of the lande (for then was the time of the first ripe grapes)
| و چگونه است زمین، چرب یا لاغر؟ درخت دارد یا نه؟ پس قوی‌دل شده، از میوه زمین بیاورید.» و آن وقت موسم نوبر انگور بود. | ۲۰ |
21 So they went vp, and searched out the lande, from the wildernesse of Zin vnto Rehob, to go to Hamath,
| پس رفته زمین را از بیابان سین تا رحوب، نزد مدخل حمات جاسوسی کردند. | ۲۱ |
22 And they ascended toward the South, and came vnto Hebron, where were Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak. And Hebron was built seuen yeere before Zoan in Egypt.
| و به جنوب رفته، به حبرون رسیدند، و اخیمان وشیشای و تلمای بنی عناق در آنجا بودند، اماحبرون هفت سال قبل از صوعن مصر بنا شده بود. | ۲۲ |
23 Then they came to the riuer of Eshcol, and cut downe thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it vpon a barre betweene two, and brought of the pomegranates and of the figges.
| و به وادی اشکول آمدند، و شاخه‌ای با یک خوشه انگور بریده، آن را بر چوب دستی، میان دونفر با قدری از انار و انجیر برداشته، آوردند. | ۲۳ |
24 That place was called the riuer Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes, which the children of Israel cut downe thence.
| وآن مکان به‌سبب خوشه انگور که بنی‌اسرائیل ازآنجا بریده بودند، به وادی اشکول نامیده شد. | ۲۴ |
25 Then after fourtie dayes, they turned againe from searching of the land.
| و بعد از چهل روز، از جاسوسی زمین برگشتند. | ۲۵ |
26 And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron and vnto al the Congregation of the children of Israel, in the wildernesse of Paran, to Kadesh, and brought to the, and to all the Congregation tydings, and shewed them the fruite of the lande.
| و روانه شده، نزد موسی و هارون وتمامی جماعت بنی‌اسرائیل به قادش در بیابان فاران رسیدند، و برای ایشان و برای تمامی جماعت خبر‌آوردند، و میوه زمین را به ایشان نشان دادند. | ۲۶ |
27 And they tolde him, and saide, We came vnto the land whither thou hast sent vs, and surely it floweth with milke and honie: and here is of the fruite of it.
| و برای او حکایت کرده، گفتند: «به زمینی که ما را فرستادی رفتیم، و به درستی که به شیر و شهد جاریست، و میوه‌اش این است. | ۲۷ |
28 Neuerthelesse the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled and exceeding great: and moreouer, we sawe the sonnes of Anak there.
| لیکن مردمانی که در زمین ساکنند زورآورند، وشهرهایش حصاردار و بسیار عظیم، و بنی عناق رانیز در آنجا دیدیم. | ۲۸ |
29 The Amalekites dwell in the South countrey, and the Hittites, and the Iebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountaines, and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Iorden.
| و عمالقه در زمین جنوب ساکنند، و حتیان و یبوسیان و اموریان درکوهستان سکونت دارند. و کنعانیان نزد دریا و برکناره اردن ساکنند.» | ۲۹ |
30 Then Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and saide, Let vs go vp at once, and possesse it: for vndoubtedly we shall ouercome it.
| و کالیب قوم را پیش موسی خاموش ساخته، گفت: «فی الفور برویم و آن را در تصرف آریم، زیرا که می‌توانیم بر آن غالب شویم.» | ۳۰ |
31 But the men, that went vp with him, saide, we be not able to goe vp against the people: for they are stronger then we.
| اماآن کسانی که با وی رفته بودند، گفتند: «نمی توانیم با این قوم مقابله نماییم زیرا که ایشان از ماقوی ترند.» | ۳۱ |
32 So they brought vp an euill report of the land which they had searched for the children of Israel, saying, The lande which we haue gone through to search it out, is a land that eateth vp the inhabitants thereof: for all the people that we sawe in it, are men of great stature.
| و درباره زمینی که آن را جاسوسی کرده بودند، خبر بد نزد بنی‌اسرائیل آورده، گفتند: «زمینی که برای جاسوسی آن از آن گذشتیم زمینی است که ساکنان خود را می‌خورد، و تمامی قومی که در آن دیدیم، مردان بلند قدبودند. | ۳۲ |
33 For there we sawe gyants, the sonnes of Anak, which come of the gyants, so that we seemed in our sight like grashoppers: and so wee were in their sight.
| و در آنجا جباران بنی عناق را دیدیم که اولاد جبارانند، و ما در نظر خود مثل ملخ بودیم وهمچنین در نظر ایشان می‌نمودیم.» | ۳۳ |
