Numbers 13
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy, ka nanao hoe:
2 Sende thou men out to search the lande of Canaan which I giue vnto the children of Israel: of euery tribe of their fathers shall ye sende a man, such as are all rulers among them.
Maniraha lehilahy vitsivitsy hisafo ny tany Kanana, izay omeko ho an’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely; dia lehilahy iray avy isam-pirazanany no hirahinareo, ka izay samy lohan’ ny fireneny avy.
3 Then Moses sent them out of the wildernesse of Paran at the commandement of the Lord: all those men were heades of the children of Israel.
Ary Mosesy dia naniraka azy hiala any an-efitra Parana, araka ny didin’ i Jehovah; ary samy lohan’ ny firenen’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely ireo lehilahy rehetra ireo.
4 Also their names are these: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the sonne of Zaccur:
Ary izao no anarany: Avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Robena dia Samoa, zanak’ i Zakora;
5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the sonne of Hori:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Simeona dia Safata, zanak’ i Hory;
6 Of the tribe of Iudah, Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Joda dia Kaleba, zanak’ i Jefone;
7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the sonne of Ioseph:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ Isakara dia Jigala, zanak’ i Josefa;
8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the sone of Nun:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Efraima dia Hosea, zanak’ i Nona;
9 Of the tribe of Beniamin, Palti the sonne of Raphu:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Benjamina dia Palty, zanak’ i Rafo;
10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the sone of Sodi:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Zebolona dia Gadiela, zanak’ i Sody;
11 Of the tribe of Ioseph, to wit, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the sonne of Susi:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Josefa, tamin’ ny firenen’ i Manase, dia Gady, zanak’ i Sosy;
12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the sonne of Gemalli:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Dana dia Amiela, zanak’ i Gemaly;
13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the sonne of Michael:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Asera dia Setora, zanak’ i Mikaela;
14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the sonne of Vophsi:
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Naftaly dia Naby, zanak’ i Vofsy;
15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the sonne of Machi.
avy tamin’ ny firenen’ i Gada dia Geoela, zanak’ i Maky.
16 These are the names of the men, which Moses sent to spie out the lande: and Moses called ye name of Oshea the sonne of Nun, Iehoshua.

17 So Moses sent them to spie out the lande of Canaan, and said vnto them, Go vp this way toward the South, and go vp into the moutaines,

18 And consider the land what it is, and the people that dwel therein, whether they be strong or weake, either fewe or many,
dia izahao izay toetry ny tany sy ny olona monina any, na mahery, na osa, na vitsy, na maro;
19 Also what the lande is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad: and what cities they be, that they dwell in, whether they dwell in tents, or in walled townes:
ary izay toetry ny tany itoerany, na tsara, na ratsy; ary ny toetry ny tanàna izay itoerany, na ao an-day, na ao an-tanàna mimanda;
20 And what the land is: whether it be fat or leane, whether there be trees therein, or not. And be of good courage, and bring of the fruite of the lande (for then was the time of the first ripe grapes)

21 So they went vp, and searched out the lande, from the wildernesse of Zin vnto Rehob, to go to Hamath,
Dia niakatra ireo ka nisafo ny tany hatramin’ ny efitra Zina ka hatrany Rehoba, dia ao akaikin’ i Hamata.
22 And they ascended toward the South, and came vnto Hebron, where were Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak. And Hebron was built seuen yeere before Zoan in Egypt.
Dia niakatra tao amin’ ny tany atsimo izy ka nankany Hebrona; ary teo Ahimana sy Sesay ary Talmay, teraky ny Anakita. (Ary Hebrona dia voaorina fito taona talohan’ i Zoana any Egypta.)
23 Then they came to the riuer of Eshcol, and cut downe thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it vpon a barre betweene two, and brought of the pomegranates and of the figges.
Dia nankany amin’ ny lohasaha Eskola izy ka nanapaka sampam-boaloboka teo izay nisy sampahony iray ihany, ary nolanjain-droa lahy tamin’ ny hazo izany; ary ny ampongabendanitra sy ny aviavy dia nitondrany koa.
24 That place was called the riuer Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes, which the children of Israel cut downe thence.
Ary izany tany izany dia nataony hoe Lohasaha Eskola, noho ny sampahom-boaloboka izay notapahin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely teo.
25 Then after fourtie dayes, they turned againe from searching of the land.
Ary niverina avy nisafo ny tany ireo, nony afaka efa-polo andro.
26 And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron and vnto al the Congregation of the children of Israel, in the wildernesse of Paran, to Kadesh, and brought to the, and to all the Congregation tydings, and shewed them the fruite of the lande.
Dia nankeo amin’ i Mosesy sy Arona ary ny fiangonana, dia ny Zanak’ Isiraely rehetra, tany an-efitra Parana izy, dia tany Kadesy, ka nitondra teny taminy sy ny fiangonana rehetra sady naneho azy ny vokatry ny tany.
27 And they tolde him, and saide, We came vnto the land whither thou hast sent vs, and surely it floweth with milke and honie: and here is of the fruite of it.
Dia nilaza taminy izy ka nanao hoe: Tonga tany amin’ ny tany izay nanirahanao anay izahay, koa tondra-dronono sy tantely tokoa izy; ary itony no vokatra avy tany.
28 Neuerthelesse the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled and exceeding great: and moreouer, we sawe the sonnes of Anak there.
Kanefa kosa mahery ny olona izay monina eo amin’ ny tany; ary ny tanàna dia mimanda sady lehibe dia lehibe; ary koa, nahita ny teraky ny Anakita teo izahay.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the South countrey, and the Hittites, and the Iebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountaines, and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Iorden.
Ny Amalekita no monina eo amin’ ny tany atsimo; ary ny Hetita sy ny Jebosita ary ny Amorita no monina any amin’ ny tany havoana; ary ny Kananita no monina eo amoron’ ny ranomasina sy eo amoron’ i Jordana.
30 Then Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and saide, Let vs go vp at once, and possesse it: for vndoubtedly we shall ouercome it.
Fa Kaleba dia nampangina ny olona teo anatrehan’ i Mosesy ka nanao hoe: Andeha isika hiakatra mihitsy mba hahazoantsika azy, fa haharesy azy tokoa isika.
31 But the men, that went vp with him, saide, we be not able to goe vp against the people: for they are stronger then we.
Fa hoy kosa ny lehilahy izay niara-niakatra taminy: Tsy mahazo miakatra handresy ny olona isika; fa mahery noho isika izy.
32 So they brought vp an euill report of the land which they had searched for the children of Israel, saying, The lande which we haue gone through to search it out, is a land that eateth vp the inhabitants thereof: for all the people that we sawe in it, are men of great stature.
Dia nilaza ratsy ny tany izay nosafoiny tamin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely izy ka nanao hoe: Ny tany izay nalehanay nosafoina dia tany izay mandevona ny monina eo, ary ny olona rehetra izay hitanay teo dia olona vaventibe;
33 For there we sawe gyants, the sonnes of Anak, which come of the gyants, so that we seemed in our sight like grashoppers: and so wee were in their sight.
ary nahita ny Nefilima teo izahay, dia taranaky ny Anakita avy amin’ ny Nefilima; ary teo imasonay dia tahaka ny tsingentana izahay; ary toy izany koa izahay teo imasony.
