Numbers 12

1 Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)

Hablaron María y Aarón contra Moisés, con motivo de la mujer cusita que este se había tomado; pues estaba casado con una mujer de Cus.

2 And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.

Decían: “¿Acaso tan solo por boca de Moisés ha hablado Yahvé? ¿No ha hablado también por nosotros?” Y lo oyó Yahvé.

3 (But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)

Es de saber que Moisés era hombre muy manso, más que hombre alguno sobre la tierra.

4 And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.

Al instante dijo Yahvé a Moisés, a Aarón y a María: “Id los tres al Tabernáculo de la Reunión.” Y salieron los tres.

5 Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.

Y descendió Yahvé en la columna de nube, y poniéndose a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, llamó a Aarón y a María que se presentaran ambos.

6 And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.

Y Él les dijo: “Escuchad mis palabras: Si alguno de vosotros es profeta, Yo Yahvé me le doy a conocer en visión o le hablo en sueños.

7 My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.

No lo hago así con mi siervo Moisés, el cual es fiel en toda mi casa.

8 Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?

Con él hablo cara a cara y claramente, no por medio de enigmas; pues él ve la imagen de Yahvé. ¿Por qué, pues, os atrevisteis a hablar contra mi siervo Moisés?”

9 Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.

Y habiéndose inflamado contra ellos su ira se fue Yahvé.

10 Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.

Después se retiró la nube que estaba sobre el Tabernáculo y he aquí que María apareció cubierta de lepra como de nieve. Cuando Aarón volvió el rostro hacia María, la vio cubierta de lepra.

11 Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.

Entonces Aarón dijo a Moisés: “Oh, señor mío, no nos imputes, te suplico, este pecado; pues hemos obrado neciamente, hemos pecado.

12 Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.

No sea ella como un abortivo, que al salir del seno de su madre tiene ya medio consumida la carne.”

13 Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.

Entonces clamó Moisés a Yahvé, diciendo: “Te ruego, oh Dios, que la sanes.”

14 And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.

Y Yahvé respondió a Moisés: “Si su padre la hubiera escupido en la cara, ¿no se avergonzaría ella por siete días? Sea, por lo tanto, excluida del campamento por siete días, y después será recibida de nuevo.”

15 So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.

Fue María excluida del campamento por siete días; y el pueblo no se movió del lugar hasta la reincorporación de María. Después el pueblo partió de Haserot; y acamparon en el desierto de Farán.

16 Then afterwarde the people remooued from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wildernesse of Paran.
