Numbers 12

1 Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)

E Miriã e Arão falaram contra Moisés por causa da mulher cuxita que havia tomado; porque ele havia tomado uma cuxita por esposa.

2 And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.

E disseram: Por acaso o SENHOR falou somente por Moisés? Não falou também por nós? E o SENHOR ouviu isso.

3 (But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)

Aquele homem Moisés era muito manso, mais que todos os homens que havia sobre a terra,

4 And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.

E logo disse o SENHOR a Moisés, a Arão, e a Miriã: Saí vós três à tenda do encontro. E saíram eles três.

5 Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.

Então o SENHOR desceu na coluna da nuvem, e pôs-se à entrada da tenda, e chamou a Arão e a Miriã; e saíram eles ambos.

6 And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.

E ele lhes disse: Ouvi agora minhas palavras: se tiverdes profeta do SENHOR, lhe aparecerei em visão, em sonhos falarei com ele.

7 My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.

Não assim a meu servo Moisés, que é fiel em toda minha casa:

8 Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?

Face a face falarei com ele, e às claras, e não por figuras; e verá a aparência do SENHOR: por que pois não tivestes temor de falar contra meu servo Moisés?

9 Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.

Então o furor do SENHOR se acendeu neles; e ele se foi.

10 Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.

E a nuvem se afastou da tenda; e eis que Miriã era leprosa como a neve; e Arão olhou para Miriã, e eis que estava leprosa.

11 Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.

E disse Arão a Moisés: Ah! Senhor meu, não ponhas sobre nós este pecado; porque loucamente o fizemos, e pecamos.

12 Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.

Rogo que ela não seja como um que sai morto do ventre de sua mãe, com a metade de sua carne já consumida.

13 Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.

Então Moisés clamou ao SENHOR, dizendo: Rogo-te, ó Deus, que a sares agora.

14 And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.

Respondeu o SENHOR a Moisés: Se o seu pai houvesse cuspido em sua face, não seria envergonhada por sete dias? Que ela esteja fora do acampamento durante sete dias, e depois seja trazida de volta.

15 So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.

Assim Miriã foi expulsa do acampamento por sete dias; e o povo não partiu até que Miriã voltasse.

16 Then afterwarde the people remooued from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wildernesse of Paran.

Depois o povo partiu de Hazerote, e assentaram o acampamento no deserto de Parã.
