Numbers 12
1 Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)
Miriám pedig és Áron szólának Mózes ellen a kúsita asszony miatt, a kit feleségül vőn, mert kúsita asszonyt vett vala feleségül.
2 And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.
És mondának: Avagy csak Mózes által szólott-é az Úr? avagy nem szólott-é mi általunk is? És meghallá az Úr.
3 (But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)
(Az az ember pedig, Mózes, igen szelíd vala, minden embernél inkább, a kik e föld színén vannak.)
4 And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.
Mindjárt monda azért az Úr Mózesnak, Áronnak és Miriámnak: Menjetek ki ti hárman a gyülekezetnek sátorába; és kimenének ők hárman.
5 Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.
Akkor leszálla az Úr felhőnek oszlopában, és megálla a sátornak nyílásánál; és szólítá Áront és Miriámot, és kimenének mindketten.
6 And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.
És monda: Halljátok meg most az én beszédeimet: Ha valaki az Úr prófétája közöttetek, én megjelenek annak látásban, vagy álomban szólok azzal.
7 My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.
Nem így az én szolgámmal, Mózessel, a ki az én egész házamban hív.
8 Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?
Szemtől szembe szólok ő vele, és nyilvánvaló látásban; nem homályos beszédek által, hanem az Úrnak hasonlatosságát látja. Miért nem féltetek hát szólani az én szolgám ellen, Mózes ellen?
9 Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.
És felgyullada az Úr haragja ő reájok, és elméne.
10 Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.
És a felhő is eltávozék a sátor felül, és ímé Miriám poklos vala, fejér mint a hó; és rátekinte Áron Miriámra, és ímé poklos vala.
11 Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.
Monda azért Áron Mózesnek: Kérlek Uram, ne tulajdonítsad nékünk e bűnt; mert bolondul cselekedtünk és vétkeztünk!
12 Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.
Kérlek, ne legyen olyan Miriám mint a holt, a melynek húsa félig megemésztetik, mikor kijő az ő anyjának méhéből.
13 Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.
Kiálta azért Mózes az Úrhoz, mondván: Isten, kérlek, gyógyítsd meg őt!
14 And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.
Az Úr pedig monda Mózesnek: Ha csak az atyja pökött volna is az ő orczájára, avagy nem kellene-é szégyenkeznie hetednapig? Rekesztessék ki hét napig a táboron kívül, és azután hívassék vissza.
15 So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.
Kirekeszteték azért Miriám a táboron kivül hét napig. És a nép nem indula tovább, míg vissza nem hívaték Miriám.
16 Then afterwarde the people remooued from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wildernesse of Paran.
Azután pedig elindula a nép Haseróthból, és tábort ütének Párán pusztájában.
