Numbers 12

1 Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)

Mirjam und Aaron aber sprachen über Moses wegen des kuschitischen Weibes, das er genommen, daß er überhaupt ein kuschitisches Weib geheiratet habe.

2 And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.

Sie sprachen: "Hat denn der Herr bloß mit Moses geredet? Hat er nicht auch mit uns geredet?" Der Herr aber hörte es.

3 (But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)

Der Mann Moses aber war überaus tugendhaft, mehr als alle anderen Menschen auf Erden.

4 And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.

Da sprach der Herr plötzlich zu Moses, zu Aaron und zu Mirjam: "Geht alle drei hinaus zum Festgezelt!" Und die drei gingen hinaus.

5 Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.

Da fuhr der Herr in einer Wolkensäule nieder und trat unter die Zelttür mit dem Rufe: "Aaron! Mirjam!" Und sie kamen beide heraus.

6 And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.

Da sprach er: "Hört meine Worte! Ist euer einer ein Prophet des Herrn, dann offenbare ich mich durch das Gesicht und rede zu ihm im Traume.

7 My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.

Nicht so bei meinem Diener Moses! Er ist mit meinem ganzen Hauswesen vertraut.

8 Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?

Von Mund zu Munde rede ich mit ihm. Des Herrn unverschleiertes Bild und des Herrn Gestalt schaut er. Warum habt ihr euch nicht gescheut, über meinen Diener Moses zu sprechen?"

9 Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.

So entbrannte der Zorn des Herrn gegen sie, und er ging weg.

10 Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.

Wie aber die Wolke vom Zelte wich, war Mirjam aussätzig wie Schnee, und als Aaron Mirjam betrachtete, war sie wirklich aussätzig geworden.

11 Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.

Da sprach Aaron zu Moses: "Ach, mein Herr! Laß uns nicht dafür büßen, daß wir so töricht gewesen und gesündigt haben!

12 Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.

Sei sie doch nicht wie eine Tote! Wir entstammen demselben Mutterleibe, und so würde schon unseres Fleisches Hälfte verzehrt."

13 Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.

Und Moses schrie zum Herrn mit den Worten: "Ach Gott! Heile sie doch!"

14 And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.

Und der Herr sprach zu Moses: "Hätte ihr Vater ihr ins Gesicht gespieen, müßte sie sich nicht sieben Tage schämen? So bleibe sie sieben Tage aus dem Lager ausgesperrt! Danach werde sie zurückgeholt!"

15 So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.

Und Mirjam ward sieben Tage aus dem Lager ausgesperrt; das Volk aber zog nicht weiter, bis Mirjam zurückgeholt ward.

16 Then afterwarde the people remooued from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wildernesse of Paran.

Danach zog das Volk von Chaserot hinweg und lagerte in der Wüste Paran.
