Nehemiah 8
1 And all the people assembled themselues together, in the streete that was before the watergate, and they spake vnto Ezra the Scribe, that hee would bring the booke of ye Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel.
Ug ang tibook katawohan nanagkatigum sa ilang kaugalingon sama sa usa ka tawo lamang ngadto sa halapad nga dapit nga diha sa atbang sa ganghaan sa tubig; ug sila namulong kang Esdras nga magsusulat sa pagpadala sa basahon sa Kasugoan ni Moises, nga gisugo ni Jehova sa Israel.
2 And Ezra the Priest brought the Lawe before the Congregation both of men and women, and of all that coulde heare and vnderstand it, in the first day of the seuenth moneth,
Ug gidala ni Esdras nga sacerdote ang Kasugoan sa atubangan sa katilingban, mga lalake ug mga babaye, ug ang tanan nga makadungog nga adunay pagsabut, sa nahaunang adlaw sa ikapito ka bulan.
3 And he read therein in the streete that was before the watergate (from the morning vntill the midday) before men and women, and them that vnderstoode it, and the eares of all the people hearkened vnto the booke of the Lawe.
Ug siya nagbasa gikan niana didto sa atubangan sa halapad nga dapit nga diha sa atbang sa ganghaan sa tubig sukad sa sayo sa buntag hangtud sa kaudtohon, sa atubangan sa mga lalake ug sa mga babaye, ug niadtong mga makasabut; ug ang mga igdulungog sa katawohan andam sa pagpamati sa basahon sa Kasugoan.
4 And Ezra the Scribe stoode vpon a pulpit of wood which he had made for the preaching, and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Ananiah, and Vriiah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hande, and on his left hand Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
Ug si Esdras nga magsusulat mitindog ibabaw sa usa ka pulpito nga kahoy, nga ilang gipabuhat pagtuyo; ug tupad kaniya nagtindog si Mathithias ug si Sema, ug si Anias, ug si Urias, ug si Hilcias, ug si Maasias, sa iyang toong kamot; ug sa iyang walang kamot, si Pedaia, ug si Misael, ug si Malchias, ug si Hasum, ug si Hasbedana, ug si Zacarias, ug si Mesullam.
5 And Ezra opened the booke before all the people: for hee was aboue all the people: and when he opened it, all the people stoode vp.
Ug giukab ni Esdras ang basahon diha sa pagtan-aw sa tibook katawohan (kay siya naibabaw sa tibook katawohan), ug sa naukab na kini niya, ang tibook katawohan nanindog.
6 And Ezra praysed the Lord the great God, and all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting vp their handes: and they bowed themselues, and worshipped the Lord with their faces toward the grounde.
Ug gidayeg ni Esdras si Jehova, ang dakung Dios; ug ang tibook katawohan mingtubag: Amen, Amen, binayaw ang ilang kamot: ug ilang giduko ang ilang mga ulo, ug nanagsimba kang Jehova uban ang ilang mga nawong ngadto sa yuta.
7 Also Ieshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Iamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Iozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Leuites caused the people to vnderstand the lawe, and the people stood in their place.
Ug si Jesua usab, ug si Bani, ug si Serebias, si Jamin, si Accub, si Sabethai, si Odias, si Maasias, si Celita, si Azarias, si Jozabed, si Hanan, si Pelaia, ug ang mga Levihanon, nagpasabut sa katawohan sa kahulogan sa Kasugoan: ug ang katawohan nanindog sa ilang dapit.
8 And they read in the booke of the Lawe of God distinctly, and gaue the sense, and caused them to vnderstand the reading.
Ug ilang gibasa diha sa basahon diha sa Kasugoan sa Dios sa matin-aw gayud; ug ilang gipasabut ang kahulogan, mao nga sila nakasabut sa gibasa.
9 Then Nehemiah (which is Tirshatha) and Ezra the Priest and scribe, and the Leuites that instructed the people, saide vnto all the people, This day is holie vnto ye Lord your God: mourne not, neither weepe: for all the people wept, whe they heard the words of the Lawe.
Ug si Nehemias nga mao ang gobernador, ug si Esdras ang sacerdote nga magsusulat, ug ang mga Levihanon nga nanagtudlo sa katawohan: Kining adlawa maoy balaan kang Jehova nga inyong Dios; ayaw pagsubo ni maghilak. Kay ang tibook katawohan nanaghilak sa pagkadungog nila sa mga pulong sa Kasugoan.
10 He saide also vnto the, Go, and eate of the fat, and drinke the sweete, and send part vnto them, for whome none is prepared: for this day is holie vnto our Lord: be ye not sorie therefore: for the ioy of the Lord is your strength.
Unya siya namulong kanila: Lakaw kamo, kan-a ang tambok, ug imna ang matam-is, ug pagpadala ug mga bahin kaniya nga walay giandam; kay kining adlawa balaan alang sa atong Ginoo: ni magsubo kamo; kay ang kalipay ni Jehova maoy inyong kusog.
11 And the Leuites made silence throughout all the people, saying, Holde your peace: for the day is holy, be not sad therefore.
Busa gipahilum ang tibook katawohan sa mga Levihanon, nga nagaingon: Maghilum kamo kay ang adlaw balaan; dili usab managsubo kamo.
12 Then all the people went to eate and to drinke, and to send away part, and to make great ioy, because they had vnderstand the wordes that they had taught them.
Ug ang tibook katawohan namauli aron sa pagkaon, ug sa pag-inum, ug sa pagpadala ug mga bahin, ug paghimo ug dagkung kalipay, tungod kay sila nakasabut sa mga pulong nga gipahayag kanila.
13 And on the second day the chiefe fathers of all the people, the Priests and the Leuites were gathered vnto Ezra the scribe, that he also might instruct them in the wordes of the Lawe.
Ug sa ikaduha ka adlaw gitigum sa tingub ang mga pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan sa tibook katawohan, ang mga sacerdote, ug ang mga Levihanon, ngadto kang Esdras, nga magsusulat, bisan sa pagpamati sa mga pulong sa Kasugoan.
14 And they found written in the Law, (that the Lord had commanded by Moses) that the children of Israel should dwel in boothes in the feast of the seuenth moneth,
Ug ilang nakaplagan nga nahisulat sa Kasugoan, giunsa ang pagsugo ni Jehova pinaagi kang Moises, nga ang mga anak sa Israel magpuyo sa mga payag sa fiesta sa ikapito ka bulan;
15 And that they shoulde cause it to bee declared and proclaimed in all their cities, and in Ierusalem, saying, Go forth vnto the mount, and bring oliue branches, and pine branches, and branches of myrtus, and palme branches, and branches of thicke trees, to make boothes, as it is written.
Ug nga sila managsangyaw ug magapahibalo sa tanan nilang mga ciudad, ug sa Jerusalem, sa pag-ingon: Lakaw ngadto sa bukid, ug pamutol ug mga sanga sa olivo, ug mga sanga sa ihalas nga olivo, ug sa mga sanga sa anayan, ug mga sanga sa mga palma, ug mga sanga sa mga kahoy nga malabong sa dahon, aron buhaton nga mga payag sumala sa nahisulat.
16 So the people went foorth and brought them, and made them boothes, euerie one vpon the roofe of his house, and in their courtes, and in the courtes of the house of God, and in the streete by the watergate, and in the streete of the gate of Ephraim.
Busa ang katawohan nangadto, ug nanagdala niini, ug nanagbuhat sa mga payag nga ilang kaugalingon, ang tagsatagsa sa atop sa iyang balay, ug sa ilang mga sawang, sa mga sawang sa balay sa Dios, ug sa halapad nga dapit sa ganghaan sa tubig, ug sa halapad nga dapit sa ganghaan ni Ephraim.
17 And all the Congregation of them that were come againe out of the captiuitie made boothes, and sate vnder the boothes: for since the time of Ieshua the sonne of Nun vnto this day, had not the children of Israel done so, and there was very great ioy.
Ug ang tibook katilingban nila nga nanghibalik pag-usab gikan sa pagkabinihag nanaghimo sa mga payag, ug nanagpuyo sa mga payag: kay sukad sa mga adlaw ni Josue, ang anak nga lalake ni Nun hangtud niadtong adlawa, wala maghimo sa ingon ang mga anak sa Israel. Ug may daku kaayong kalipay.
18 And he read in the booke of the Lawe of God euery day, from the first day vnto the last day. and they kept the feast seuen dayes, and on the eight day a solemne assemblie, according vnto the maner.
Sa adlaw-adlaw usab, sukad sa nahaunang adlaw hangtud sa katapusang adlaw, siya nagbasa sa basahon sa Kasugoan sa Dios. Ug ilang gisaulog ang fiesta sulod sa pito ka adlaw: ug sa ikawalo ka adlaw maoy maligdong nga pagkatigum sumala sa tulomanon.
