Nehemiah 7
1 Nowe when the wall was builded, and I had set vp the doores, and the porters, and the singers and the Leuites were appointed,
প্রাচীর গাঁথা হয়ে যাবার পর আমি দরজাগুলি ঠিক জায়গায় লাগালাম, এবং দ্বাররক্ষী, গায়ক ও লেবীয়দের নিযুক্ত করা হল।
2 Then I commanded my brother Hanani and Hananiah the prince of the palace in Ierusalem (for he was doubtlesse a faithfull man, and feared God aboue many)
আমার ভাই হনানিকে ও দুর্গের শাসনকর্তা হনানিয়কে জেরুশালেমের উপর নিযুক্ত করলাম, কেননা হনানি বিশ্বস্ত লোক ছিলেন এবং ঈশ্বরকে অনেকের চেয়ে বেশি ভয় করতেন।
3 And I saide vnto them, Let not the gates of Ierusalem be opened, vntill the heate of the sunne: and while they stande by, let them shut the doores, and make them fast: and I appointed wardes of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, euery one in his warde, and euery one ouer against his house.
আমি তাদের বললাম, “যতক্ষণ না প্রচণ্ড রোদ হয় ততক্ষণ জেরুশালেমের দ্বার যেন খোলা না হয়। রক্ষীরা থাকার সময় তাদের দিয়ে যেন দ্বার বন্ধ করা ও হুড়কা লাগানো হয়। এবং জেরুশালেমের নিবাসীদের মধ্যে থেকে যেন প্রহরী নিযুক্ত হয়, তাদের কেউ কেউ থাকুক পাহারা দেবার জায়গায় আর কেউ কেউ নিজের বাড়ির কাছে।”
4 Nowe the citie was large and great, but the people were few therein, and the houses were not buylded.
সেই সময় জেরুশালেম নগর ছিল বড়ো ও অনেক জায়গা জুড়ে, কিন্তু তার মধ্যে অল্প সংখ্যক লোক ছিল, এবং সব বাড়িও তখন তৈরি করা হয়নি।
5 And my God put into mine heart, and I gathered the princes, and the rulers, and the people, to count their genealogies: and I found a booke of the genealogie of them, which came vp at the first, and found written therein,
পরে ঈশ্বর আমার মনে ইচ্ছা দিলেন যেন আমি গণ্যমান্য লোকদের, উচ্চপদস্থ কর্মচারীদের ও সাধারণ লোকদের একত্র করে তাদের বংশাবলি লেখা হয়। যারা প্রথমে ফিরে এসেছিল সেই লোকদের বংশতালিকা পেলাম। তার মধ্যে আমি এই কথা লেখা পেলাম:
6 These are the sonnes of the prouince that came vp from the captiuitie that was caried away (whome Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel had caryed away) and they returned to Ierusalem and to Iudah, euery one vnto his citie.
ব্যাবিলনের রাজা নেবুখাদনেজার যাদের বন্দি করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন, তাদের মধ্যে সেই প্রদেশের এইসব লোকজন নির্বাসন কাটিয়ে জেরুশালেম ও যিহূদায় নিজের নিজের নগরে ফিরে এসেছিল।
7 They which came with Zerubbabel, Ieshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Biguai, Nehum, Baanah. This is the nomber of the men of the people of Israel.
তারা সরুব্বাবিল, যেশূয়, নহিমিয়, অসরিয়, রয়মিয়া, নহমানি, মর্দখয়, বিল্শন, মিস্পরৎ, বিগ্বয়, নহূম ও বানার সঙ্গে ফিরে এসেছিল। ইস্রায়েলী পুরুষদের তালিকা:
8 The sonnes of Parosh, two thousande an hundreth seuentie and two.
পরোশের বংশধর 2,172 জন,
9 The sonnes of Shephatiah, three hundreth seuentie and two.
শফটিয়ের বংশধর 372 জন,
10 The sonnes of Arah, sixe hundreth fiftie and two.
আরহের বংশধর 652 জন,
11 The sonnes of Pahath Moab of ye sonnes of Ieshua, and Ioab, two thousand, eight hundreth and eighteene.
পহৎ-মোয়াবের বংশধর (যেশূয় ও যোয়াবের সন্তানদের মধ্যে) 2,818 জন,
12 The sonnes of Elam, a thousand, two hundreth fiftie and foure.
এলমের বংশধর 1,254 জন,
13 The sonnes of Zattu, eight hundreth and fiue and fourtie.
সত্তূরের বংশধর 845 জন,
14 The sonnes of Zacchai, seuen hundreth and three score.
সক্কয়ের বংশধর 760 জন,
15 The sonnes of Binnui, sixe hundreth and eight and fourtie.

শলোমনের দাসদের বংশধর: সোটয়, সোফেরত, পরীদা,
58 The sonnes of Iaala, the sonnes of Darkon, the sonnes of Giddel,
যালা, দর্কোন, গিদ্দেল,
59 The sonnes of Shephatiah, the sonnes of Hattil, the sonnes of Pochereth of Zebaim, the sonnes of Amon.
শফটিয়, হটীল, পোখেরৎ-হৎসবায়ীম ও আমোনের বংশধর।
60 All the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruantes were three hundreth, ninetie and two.
মন্দিরের দাসেরা এবং শলোমনের দাসদের বংশধর 392 জন।
61 And these came vp from Tel-melah, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shewe their fathers house, nor their seede, or if they were of Israel.
তেল্-মেলহ, তেল্-হর্শা, করূব, অদ্দন ও ইম্মের, এসব স্থান থেকে নিম্নলিখিত লোকেরা এসেছিল, কিন্তু তারা ইস্রায়েলী লোক কি না, এ বিষয়ে নিজ নিজ পিতৃকুলের প্রমাণ দিতে পারল না:
62 The sonnes of Delaiah: the sonnes of Tobiah, the sonnes of Nekoda, six hundreth and two and fourtie.
দলায়, টোবিয় ও নকোদের বংশধর 642 জন।
63 And of the Priestes: the sonnes of Habaiah, the sonnes of Hakkoz, the sonnes of Barzillai, which tooke one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was named after their name.
আর যাজকদের মধ্যে: হবায়ের, হক্কোষের ও বর্সিল্লয়ের বংশধর (এই বর্সিল্লয় গিলিয়দীয় বর্সিল্লয়ের এক মেয়েকে বিয়ে করেছিল এবং তাকে সেই নামেই ডাকা হত)।
64 These sought their writing of the genealogies, but it was not founde: therefore they were put from the Priesthood.
বংশতালিকায় এই লোকেরা তাদের বংশের খোঁজ করেছিল কিন্তু পায়নি, এবং সেই কারণে তারা অশুচি বলে তাদের যাজকের পদ থেকে বাদ দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
65 And the Tirshatha sayd vnto them, that they should not eate of the most holy, till there rose vp a Priest with Vrim and Thummim.
সুতরাং, শাসনকর্তা তাদের এই আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন, যে ঊরীম ও তুম্মীম ব্যবহারকারী কোনো যাজক না আসা পর্যন্ত যেন লোকেরা কোনও মহাপবিত্র খাদ্য ভোজন না করে।
66 All the Congregation together was two and fourtie thousand, three hundreth and threescore,

67 Besides their seruantes and their maydes, which were seuen thousand, three hundreth and seuen and thirtie: and they had two hundreth and fiue and fourtie singing men and singing women.
এছাড়া তাদের দাস-দাসী ছিল 7,337 জন; এবং তাদের 245 জন গায়ক-গায়িকাও ছিল।
68 Their horses were seuen hundreth and sixe and thirtie, and their mules two hundreth and fiue and fourtie.

69 The camels foure hundreth and fiue and thirtie, and sixe thousande, seuen hundreth and twentie asses.
435-টি উট ও 6,720-টি গাধা।
70 And certaine of the chiefe fathers gaue vnto the worke. The Tirshatha gaue to the treasure, a thousand drammes of golde, fiftie basins, fiue hundreth and thirtie Priests garments.
পিতৃকুলপতিদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ সেই কাজের জন্য দান করল। শাসনকর্তা ভাণ্ডারে 1,000 অদর্কোন সোনা ও পঞ্চাশটি বাটি এবং যাজকদের জন্য 530-টি পোশাক দিলেন।
71 And some of the chiefe fathers gaue vnto the treasure of the worke, twentie thousand drams of golde, and two thousande and two hundreth pieces of siluer.
কয়েকজন পিতৃকুলপতি ভাণ্ডারে এই কাজের জন্য 20,000 অদর্কোন সোনা ও 2,200 মানি রুপো দিলেন।
72 And the rest of the people gaue twentie thousand drammes of golde, and two thousande pieces of siluer, and three score and seuen Priestes garments.
বাকি লোকেরা মোট 20,000 অদর্কোন সোনা ও 2,000 মানি রুপো এবং যাজকদের জন্য 67-টি পোশাক দিল।
73 And the Priestes, and Leuites, and the porters and the singers and the rest of the people and the Nethinims, and all Israel dwelt in their cities: and when the seuenth moneth came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
যাজকেরা, লেবীয়েরা, দ্বাররক্ষীরা, গায়কেরা এবং মন্দিরের দাসেরা বিশেষ কিছু লোকের ও অবশিষ্ট ইস্রায়েলীদের সঙ্গে নিজের নিজের নগরে বসবাস করতে লাগল। সপ্তম মাসে ইস্রায়েলীরা নিজের নিজের নগরে বসবাস করতে লাগল।
