Nehemiah 3
1 Then arose Eliashib the hie Priest with his brethren the Priestes, and they buylt the sheepegate: they repayred it, and set vp the doores thereof: euen vnto the tower of Meah repayred they it, and vnto the tower of Hananeel.
Kemudian kami mulai membangun kembali benteng kota Yerusalem beserta gerbang-gerbangnya. Inilah daftar kelompok orang yang bekerja, ditulis secara urut berdasarkan posisi mereka pada tembok. Di Gerbang Domba dan tembok sekitarnya sampai Menara Mea dan Menara Hananel: Imam Besar Elyasib dan para imam lainnya. Merekalah yang memasang pintu dan membangun tembok, lalu menahbiskannya.
2 And next vnto him buylded the men of Iericho, and beside him Zaccur the sonne of Imri.
Bagian tembok berikutnya dibangun oleh kelompok dari kota Yeriko. Di sebelah mereka ada kelompok Zakur anak Imri.
3 But the fish port did the sonnes of Senaah buylde, which also layde the beames thereof, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof.
Di Gerbang Ikan dan tembok sekitarnya ada keluarga Hasena. Mereka memasang tiang-tiang dan pintu serta membuat palang-palangnya dan semua alat besi penahannya.
4 And next vnto them fortified Merimoth, the sonne of Vrijah, the sonne of Hakkoz: and next vnto them fortified Meshullam, the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Meshezabeel: and next vnto them fortified Zadok, the sonne of Baana:
Selanjutnya, perbaikan tembok sampai ke Gerbang Lama dikerjakan oleh empat kelompok berikut: Kelompok Meremot anak Uria, cucu Hakos. Kelompok Mesulam anak Berekia, cucu Mesezabel. Kelompok Zadok anak Bana.
5 And next vnto them fortified the Tekoites: but the great men of them put not their neckes to the worke of their lordes.
Kelompok dari kota Tekoa. (Mereka ikut bekerja meskipun para bangsawan kota mereka menolak untuk membantu.)
6 And the gate of the olde fishpoole fortified Iehoiada the sonne of Paseah, and Meshullam the sonne of Besodaiah: they laid the beames thereof, and set on the doores thereof, and the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof.
Perbaikan Gerbang Lama dan tembok berikutnya: Kelompok Yoyada anak Paseah dan Mesulam anak Besodeya. Mereka memasang tiang-tiang dan pintu gerbang, lengkap dengan palang-palang pintunya dan semua alat besi penahannya.
7 Next vnto them also fortified Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Iadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, vnto the throne of the Duke, which was beyond the Riuer.
Melaca dari Gibeon, Yadon dari Meronot, beserta orang-orang kota Gibeon dan Mispa. (Kota-kota itu berada di wilayah kekuasaan gubernur di Sebelah Barat sungai Efrat.) Mereka memperbaiki bagian tembok berikutnya dari pintu Gerbang Lama.
8 Next vnto him fortified Vzziel the sonne of Harhohiah of the golde smithes: next vnto him also fortified Hananiah, the sonne of Harakkahim, and they repayred Ierusalem vnto the broad wall.
Selanjutnya, perbaikan tembok sampai ke Tembok Lebar dikerjakan oleh kelompok Uziel anak Harhaya, yang adalah perajin emas, dan Hananya, seorang pembuat minyak wangi.
9 Also next vnto them fortified Rephaiah, the sonne of Hur, the ruler of the halfe part of Ierusalem.
Bagian tembok berikutnya dikerjakan oleh kelompok Refaya anak Hur, pejabat yang berwenang atas setengah dari wilayah Yerusalem.
10 And next vnto him fortified Iedaiah the sonne of Harumaph, euen ouer against his house: and next vnto him fortified Hattush, the sonne of Hashabniah.
Yedaya anak Harumaf memperbaiki tembok kota di seberang rumahnya. Di sebelahnya ada kelompok Hatus anak Hasabneya.
11 Malchiiah the sonne of Harim, and Hashub the sonne of Pahath Moab fortified the seconde porcion, and the tower of the fornaces.
Bagian tembok selanjutnya dan Menara Perapian diperbaiki oleh kelompok Malkia anak Harim dan Hasub anak Pahat Moab.
12 Next vnto him also fortified Shallum, the sonne of Halloesh, the ruler of the halfe part of Ierusalem, he, and his daughters.
Perbaikan tembok yang berikut dilakukan oleh Salum anak Halohes, yaitu pemimpin setengah wilayah di Yerusalem, bersama anak-anak perempuannya.
13 The valley gate fortified Hanum, and the inhabitants of Zanuah: they buylt it, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof, euen a thousand cubites on the wall vnto the dung porte.
Gerbang Lembah dan tembok sekitarnya dikerjakan oleh Hanun dan penduduk kota Zanoa. Mereka memasang pintunya, membuat palang-palangnya dan alat besi penahannya, serta memperbaiki tembok itu sejauh kira-kira 450 meter sampai ke Gerbang Pembuangan Sampah.
14 But the dung port fortified Malchiah, the sonne of Rechab, the ruler of the fourth part of Beth-haccarem: he built it, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof.
Di Gerbang Pembuangan Sampah, kelompok Malkia anak Rekab, penguasa wilayah Bet Kerem, membuat pintu baru serta palang-palang dan alat besi penahannya.
15 But the gate of the fountaine fortified Shallun, the sonne of Col-hozeh, the ruler of the fourth part of Mizpah: he builded it, and couered it, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof, and the wall vnto the fishpoole of Shelah by the Kings garden, and vnto the steppes that goe downe from the citie of Dauid.
Gerbang Air Mancur dan tembok sekitarnya dikerjakan oleh kelompok Salum anak Kohoze, penguasa wilayah Mispa. Mereka memasang pintu, palang-palangnya, dan alat besi penahannya, juga memperbaiki tembok di Kolam Siloam di sebelah taman kerajaan sampai ke tangga yang menurun dari Kota Daud.
16 After him fortified Nehemiah the sonne of Azbuk, the ruler of ye halfe part of Beth-zur, vntill the otherside ouer against the sepulchres of Dauid, and to the fishpoole that was repaired, and vnto the house of the mightie.
Tembok pada bagian di seberang pemakaman Daud sampai kolam penampungan air dan Rumah Para Pahlawan diperbaiki oleh kelompok Nehemia anak Azbuk, pejabat yang berwenang atas setengah wilayah Bet Zur.
17 After him fortified the Leuites, Rehum the sonne of Bani, and next vnto him fortified Hashabiah the ruler of the halfe part of Keilah in his quarter.
Pada bagian berikutnya, Rehum anak Bani memimpin kelompok orang Lewi dalam perbaikan tembok. Di sebelah mereka, kelompok Hasabya, pemimpin setengah daerah Kehila, memperbaiki tembok di bagian itu mewakili masyarakat daerahnya.
18 After him fortified their brethren: Bauai, the sonne of Henadad the ruler of the halfe part of Keilah:
Selanjutnya, ada kelompok Bawai anak Henadad, pemimpin setengah daerah Kehila lainnya, bersama orang-orang dari daerahnya. Mereka memperbaiki tembok.
19 And next vnto him fortified Ezer, the sonne of Ieshua the ruler of Mizpah, the other portion ouer against the going vp to the corner of the armour.
Bagian tembok kota di depan gudang senjata sampai bagian sudut diperbaiki oleh kelompok Ezer anak Yesua, pemimpin kota Mispa.
20 After him was earnest Baruch the sonne of Zacchai, and fortified another portion from the corner vnto the doore of the house of Eliashib the hie Priest.
Dari bagian sudut sampai pintu masuk rumah Imam Besar Elyasib, perbaikan dikerjakan oleh kelompok Baruk anak Zabai.
21 After him fortified Merimoth, the sonne of Vriiah, the sonne of Hakkoz, another portion from the doore of the house of Eliashib, euen as long as the house of Eliashib extended.
Dari pintu rumah Elyasib sampai ke ujung rumah itu, perbaikan tembok dikerjakan oleh kelompok Meremot anak Uria dan cucu Hakos.
22 After him also fortified the Priests, the men of the playne.
Bagian tembok berikutnya diperbaiki oleh para imam yang tinggal di daerah sekitar Yerusalem.
23 After them fortified Beniamin, and Hasshub ouer against their house: after him fortified Azariah, the sonne of Maaseiah, the sonne of Ananiah, by his house.
Benyamin dan Hasub memperbaiki tembok di depan rumah mereka. Azarya anak Maaseya dan cucu Ananya memperbaiki tembok di samping rumahnya.
24 After him fortified Binnui, the sonne of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah vnto the turning and vnto the corner.
Dari rumah Azarya sampai ke bagian sudut, tembok diperbaiki oleh Binui anak Henadad.
25 Palal, the sonne of Vzai, from ouer against the corner, and the high tower, that lieth out from the Kings house, which is beside the court of the prison. After him, Pedaiah, the sonne of Parosh.
Pada bagian sudut di seberang menara tinggi di istana raja, dekat teras penjaga, tembok diperbaiki oleh Palal anak Uzai. Pedaya anak Paros dan
26 And the Nethinims they dwelt in ye fortresse vnto the place ouer against the water gate, Eastwarde, and to the tower that lyeth out.
para pegawai rumah TUHAN yang tinggal di Ofel memperbaiki tembok dari Gerbang Air ke arah timur sampai menara yang menonjol itu.
27 After him fortified the Tekoites another portion ouer against the great tower, that lyeth out, euen vnto the wall of the fortresse.
Bagian berikutnya, mulai dari menara itu sampai tembok Ofel, dikerjakan oleh kelompok orang Tekoa.
28 From aboue the horsegate forth fortified the Priests, euery one ouer against his house.
Di Gerbang Kuda dan tembok sekitarnya, para imam memperbaiki tembok. Tiap orang mengerjakan bagiannya di depan rumah masing-masing.
29 After them fortified Zadok the sonne of Immer ouer against his house: and after him fortified Shemaiah, the sonne of Shechadiah the keeper of the East gate.
Zadok anak Imer memperbaiki tembok yang berada di depan rumahnya. Semaya anak Sekanya, penjaga Gerbang Timur, juga melakukan perbaikan.
30 After him fortified Hananiah, the sonne of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sonne of Zalaph, the sixt, another portion after him fortified Meshullam, the sonne of Berechiah, ouer against his chamber.
Hananya anak Selemya dan Hanun anak Zalaf yang keenam memperbaiki bagian berikutnya. Mesulam anak Berekya melakukan perbaikan tembok di depan rumahnya.
31 After him fortified Malchiah the goldesmiths sonne, vntil the house of the Nethinims, and of ye marchants ouer against the gate Miphkad, and to the chamber in the corner.
Malkia, yang juga perajin emas, membangun kembali bagian berikutnya sampai ke rumah-rumah para pelayan rumah TUHAN dan para pedagang. Tempat ini berada di seberang Gerbang Pemeriksaan, dekat ruangan di atas tembok di sudut timur laut.
32 And betweene the chamber of the corner vnto the sheepegate fortified the goldesmithes and the marchantes.
Dari sudut itu sampai ke Gerbang Domba, perbaikan dikerjakan oleh para perajin emas dan pedagang.
