Nehemiah 3

1 Then arose Eliashib the hie Priest with his brethren the Priestes, and they buylt the sheepegate: they repayred it, and set vp the doores thereof: euen vnto the tower of Meah repayred they it, and vnto the tower of Hananeel.

Eliasib donc, le grand Sacrificateur se leva, avec ses frères les sacrificateurs, et ils rebâtirent la porte du bercail, laquelle ils sanctifièrent, et ils y posèrent ses portes, et ils la sanctifièrent jusqu'à la tour de Méah, jusqu'à la tour de Hananéël.

2 And next vnto him buylded the men of Iericho, and beside him Zaccur the sonne of Imri.

Et à son côté rebâtirent les gens de Jérico; et à côté d'eux Zaccur, fils d'Imri, rebâtit.

3 But the fish port did the sonnes of Senaah buylde, which also layde the beames thereof, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof.

Et les enfants de Sénaa rebâtirent la porte des poissons, laquelle ils planchéièrent, et y mirent ses portes, ses serrures et ses barres.

4 And next vnto them fortified Merimoth, the sonne of Vrijah, the sonne of Hakkoz: and next vnto them fortified Meshullam, the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Meshezabeel: and next vnto them fortified Zadok, the sonne of Baana:

Et à leur côté répara Mérémoth, fils d'Urija, fils de Kots; et à leur côté répara Mésullam, fils de Bérecia, fils de Mésézabéël, et à leur côté répara Tsadok, fils de Bahana.

5 And next vnto them fortified the Tekoites: but the great men of them put not their neckes to the worke of their lordes.

Et à leur côté réparèrent les Tékohites; mais les plus considérables d'entre eux ne se rangèrent point à l'œuvre de leur Seigneur.

6 And the gate of the olde fishpoole fortified Iehoiada the sonne of Paseah, and Meshullam the sonne of Besodaiah: they laid the beames thereof, and set on the doores thereof, and the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof.

Et Jéhojadah, fils de Paséah, et Mésullam, fils de Bésodia, réparèrent la porte vieille, laquelle ils planchéièrent, et ils y mirent ses portes, ses serrures et ses barres.

7 Next vnto them also fortified Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Iadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, vnto the throne of the Duke, which was beyond the Riuer.

Et à leur côté réparèrent Mélatia Gabaonite, et Jadon Méronothite, de Gabaon et de Mitspa, vers le siège du Gouverneur de deçà le fleuve.

8 Next vnto him fortified Vzziel the sonne of Harhohiah of the golde smithes: next vnto him also fortified Hananiah, the sonne of Harakkahim, and they repayred Ierusalem vnto the broad wall.

Et à côté de ce [siège] répara Huziël, fils de Harhaja, d'[entre] les orfèvres; et à son côté répara Hanania fils de Harakkahim; et ainsi ils relevèrent Jérusalem jusqu'à la muraille large.

9 Also next vnto them fortified Rephaiah, the sonne of Hur, the ruler of the halfe part of Ierusalem.

Et à leur côté répara Réphaja, fils de Hur, capitaine d'un demi-quartier de Jérusalem;

10 And next vnto him fortified Iedaiah the sonne of Harumaph, euen ouer against his house: and next vnto him fortified Hattush, the sonne of Hashabniah.

Et à leur côté répara Jédaja, fils de Harumaph, même à l'endroit de sa maison; et à son côté répara Hattus, fils de Hasabnéja.

11 Malchiiah the sonne of Harim, and Hashub the sonne of Pahath Moab fortified the seconde porcion, and the tower of the fornaces.

Et Malkija, fils de Harim, et Hasub, fils de Pahath-Moab, en réparèrent autant, et même la tour des fours.

12 Next vnto him also fortified Shallum, the sonne of Halloesh, the ruler of the halfe part of Ierusalem, he, and his daughters.

Et à leur côté Sallum, fils de Lobès, capitaine de [l'autre] demi-quartier de Jérusalem, répara, lui et ses filles.

13 The valley gate fortified Hanum, and the inhabitants of Zanuah: they buylt it, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof, euen a thousand cubites on the wall vnto the dung porte.

Et Hanun et les habitants de Zanoah réparèrent la porte de la vallée, ils la rebâtirent, et mirent ses portes, ses serrures, et ses barres, et [ils bâtirent] mille coudées de muraille, jusqu'à la porte de la fiente,

14 But the dung port fortified Malchiah, the sonne of Rechab, the ruler of the fourth part of Beth-haccarem: he built it, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof.

Et Malkija, fils de Réchab, capitaine du quartier de Beth-Kérem, répara la porte de la fiente; il la rebâtit, et mit ses portes, ses serrures et ses barres.

15 But the gate of the fountaine fortified Shallun, the sonne of Col-hozeh, the ruler of the fourth part of Mizpah: he builded it, and couered it, and set on the doores thereof, the lockes thereof, and the barres thereof, and the wall vnto the fishpoole of Shelah by the Kings garden, and vnto the steppes that goe downe from the citie of Dauid.

Et Sallum, fils de Col-Hoze, capitaine du quartier de Mitspa, répara la porte de la fontaine; il la rebâtit, et la couvrit, et mit ses portes, ses serrures, et ses barres; et [il répara aussi] la muraille de l'étang de Sélah, tirant vers le jardin du Roi, et jusqu'aux degrés qui descendent de la Cité de David.

16 After him fortified Nehemiah the sonne of Azbuk, the ruler of ye halfe part of Beth-zur, vntill the otherside ouer against the sepulchres of Dauid, and to the fishpoole that was repaired, and vnto the house of the mightie.

Après lui répara Néhémie, fils d'Hazbuk, capitaine du demi-quartier de Beth-Tsur, jusqu'à l'endroit des sépulcres de David, et jusqu'à l'étang qui avait été refait, et jusqu'à la maison des forts.

17 After him fortified the Leuites, Rehum the sonne of Bani, and next vnto him fortified Hashabiah the ruler of the halfe part of Keilah in his quarter.

Après lui réparèrent les Lévites, Néhum, fils de Bani; et à son côté répara Hasabja, capitaine du demi-quartier de Kéhila, pour ceux de son quartier.

18 After him fortified their brethren: Bauai, the sonne of Henadad the ruler of the halfe part of Keilah:

Après lui réparèrent leurs frères, [savoir], Bavvaï, fils de Hénadad, capitaine de [l'autre] demi-quartier de Kéhila.

19 And next vnto him fortified Ezer, the sonne of Ieshua the ruler of Mizpah, the other portion ouer against the going vp to the corner of the armour.

Et à son côté Héser, fils de Jésuah, capitaine de Mitspa, en répara autant, à l'endroit par où l'on monte à l'arsenal de l'encoignûre.

20 After him was earnest Baruch the sonne of Zacchai, and fortified another portion from the corner vnto the doore of the house of Eliashib the hie Priest.

Après lui Baruch, fils de Zaccaï, prit courage, et en répara autant, depuis l'encoignûre jusqu'à l'entrée de la maison d'Eliasib, grand Sacrificateur.

21 After him fortified Merimoth, the sonne of Vriiah, the sonne of Hakkoz, another portion from the doore of the house of Eliashib, euen as long as the house of Eliashib extended.

Après lui Mérémoth, fils d'Urija, fils de Kots, en répara autant, depuis l'entrée de la maison d'Eliasib, jusqu'au bout de la maison d'Eliasib.

22 After him also fortified the Priests, the men of the playne.

Et après lui réparèrent les Sacrificateurs, habitants de la campagne.

23 After them fortified Beniamin, and Hasshub ouer against their house: after him fortified Azariah, the sonne of Maaseiah, the sonne of Ananiah, by his house.

Après eux, Benjamin et Hasub réparèrent à l'endroit de leur maison. Après lesquels, Hazaria, fils de Mahaséja, fils d'Hanania, répara auprès de sa maison.

24 After him fortified Binnui, the sonne of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah vnto the turning and vnto the corner.

Après lui, Binnuï, fils de Henadad, en répara autant, depuis la maison d'Hazaria, jusqu'à l'encoignûre, même jusqu'au coin.

25 Palal, the sonne of Vzai, from ouer against the corner, and the high tower, that lieth out from the Kings house, which is beside the court of the prison. After him, Pedaiah, the sonne of Parosh.

[Et] Palal, fils d'Uzaï, depuis l'endroit de l'encoignûre, et de la tour, qui sort de la haute maison du Roi, qui est auprès du parvis de la prison. Après lui Pédaja, fils de Parhos.

26 And the Nethinims they dwelt in ye fortresse vnto the place ouer against the water gate, Eastwarde, and to the tower that lyeth out.

Et les Néthiniens, qui demeuraient en Hophel, [réparèrent] vers l'Orient, jusqu'à l'endroit de la porte des eaux, et vers la tour qui sort en dehors.

27 After him fortified the Tekoites another portion ouer against the great tower, that lyeth out, euen vnto the wall of the fortresse.

Après eux, les Tékohites en réparèrent autant, depuis l'endroit de la grande tour qui sort en dehors, jusqu'à la muraille d'Hophel.

28 From aboue the horsegate forth fortified the Priests, euery one ouer against his house.

Et les Sacrificateurs réparèrent depuis le dessus de la porte des chevaux, chacun à l'endroit de sa maison.

29 After them fortified Zadok the sonne of Immer ouer against his house: and after him fortified Shemaiah, the sonne of Shechadiah the keeper of the East gate.

Après eux Tsadok, fils d'Immer, répara à l'endroit de sa maison. Et après lui répara Sémahia, fils de Sécania, garde de la porte Orientale.

30 After him fortified Hananiah, the sonne of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sonne of Zalaph, the sixt, another portion after him fortified Meshullam, the sonne of Berechiah, ouer against his chamber.

Après lui Hanania, fils de Sélemia, et Hanun le sixième fils de Tsalaph, en réparèrent autant. Après eux, Mésullam, fils de Bérécia, répara à l'endroit de sa chambre.

31 After him fortified Malchiah the goldesmiths sonne, vntil the house of the Nethinims, and of ye marchants ouer against the gate Miphkad, and to the chamber in the corner.

Après lui Malkija, fils de Tsoreph, répara jusqu'à la maison des Néthiniens, et des revendeurs, et l'endroit de la porte de Miphkad, et jusqu'à la montée du coin.

32 And betweene the chamber of the corner vnto the sheepegate fortified the goldesmithes and the marchantes.

Et les orfèvres et les revendeurs réparèrent entre la montée du coin et la porte du bercail.
