Nehemiah 12
1 These also are the Priestes and the Leuites that went vp with Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua: to wit, Seraiah, Ieremiah, Ezra,
Estos son los sacerdotes y levitas que subieron con Zorobabel, hijo de Salatiel, y Jesuá: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
Amarías, Maluc, Hartús,
3 Shecaniah, Rehum, Merimoth,
Secanías, Rehum, Meremot,
4 Iddo, Ginnetho, Abiiah,
Iddo, Gineto, Abías,
5 Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
Mijamín, Maadías, Bilga,
6 Shemaiah, and Ioiarib, Iedaiah,
Semaías, Joyarib, Jedaías,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiiah, Iedaiah: these were the chiefe of the Priests, and of their brethren in the dayes of Ieshua.
Salú, Amoc, Hilcías y Jedaías. Esos fueron los jefes de los sacerdotes y sus hermanos en días de Jesuá.
8 And the Leuites, Ieshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Iudah, Mattaniah were ouer the thankesgiuings, he, and his brethren.
Los levitas eran Jesuá, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, quien, con sus hermanos, dirigía los cánticos de alabanza.
9 And Bakbukiah and Vnni, and their brethren were about them in the watches.
Bacbuquías y Uni, sus hermanos, estaban frente a ellos en el servicio.
10 And Ieshua begate Ioiakim: Ioiakim also begate Eliashib, and Eliashib begate Ioiada.
Jesuá engendró a Joyaquim, quien engendró a Eliasib. Éste engendró a Joiada,
11 And Ioiada begate Ionathan, and Ionathan begate Iaddua,
quien engendró a Jonatán, y él engendró a Jadúa.
12 And in the daies of Ioiakim were these, the chiefe fathers of the Priests: vnder Seraiah was Meraiah, vnder Ieremiah, Hananiah,
En los días de Joyaquim, los sacerdotes jefes de casas paternas eran: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías;
13 Vnder Ezra, Meshullam, vnder Amariah, Iehohanan,
de Esdras, Mesulam; de Amarías, Johanán;
14 Vnder Melicu, Ionathan, vnder Shebaniah, Ioseph,
de Melicú, Jonatán; de Sebanías, José;
15 Vnder Harim, Adna, vnder Maraioth, Helkai,
de Harim, Adna; de Meraiot, Helcay;
16 Vnder Iddo, Zechariah, vnder Ginnithon, Meshullam,
de Iddo, Zacarías; de Ginetón, Mesulam;
17 Vnder Abiiah, Zichri, vnder Miniamin, and vnder Moadiah, Piltai,
de Abías, Zicri; de Miniamín, de Moadías, Piltay;
18 Vnder Bilgah, Shammua, vnder Shemaiah, Iehonathan,
de Bilga, Samúa; de Semaías, Jonatán;
19 Vnder Ioiarib, Mattenai, vnder Iedaiah, Vzzi,
de Joyarib, Matenay; de Jedaías, Uzi;
20 Vnder Sallai, Kallai, vnder Amok, Eber,

21 Vnder Hilkiah, Hashabiah, vnder Iedaiah, Nethaneel.

22 In the dayes of Eliashib, Ioiada, and Iohanan and Iaddua were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites written, and the Priests in the reigne of Darius the Persian.
En días de Eliasib, Joiada, Johanán y Jadúa, los levitas fueron contados por sus casas paternas, así como los sacerdotes, hasta el reinado de Darío el persa.
23 The sonnes of Leui, the chiefe fathers were written in the booke of the Chronicles euen vnto the dayes of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib.
Los hijos de Leví, jefes de las casas paternas, fueron anotados en el rollo de las Crónicas hasta los días de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib.
24 And the chiefe of the Leuites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Ieshua the sonne of Kadmiel, and their brethren about them to giue prayse and thankes, according to the ordinance of Dauid the man of God, ward ouer against warde.
Los jefes de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebías y Jesuá, hijo de Cadmiel, con sus hermanos al frente de ellos, fueron designados por turnos alternos para alabar y tributar acciones de gracias, conforme al mandato de David, varón de ʼElohim.
25 Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were porters keeping the warde at the thresholds of the gates.
Matanías, Bacbuquías, Obadías, Mesulam, Talmón, Acub, porteros, montaban guardia en los almacenes junto a las puertas.
26 These were in the dayes of Ioiakim, the sonne of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and in the dayes of Nehemiah the captaine, and of Ezra the Priest and scribe.
Estos estaban en los días de Joyaquim, hijo de Jesuá, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote y escriba Esdras.
27 And in the dedication of the wall at Ierusalem they sought the Leuites out of all their places to bring them to Ierusalem to keepe the dedication and gladnes, both with thankesgiuings and with songs, cymbales, violes and with harpes.
Para la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén buscaron a los levitas de todas partes para llevarlos a Jerusalén, a fin de celebrar la dedicación y la fiesta con cánticos y acciones de gracias, con címbalos, salterios y arpas.
28 Then the singers gathered themselues together both from the plaine countrey about Ierusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
Así fueron reunidos los hijos de los cantores, tanto del valle que circunda a Jerusalén como de las aldeas de los de Netofa,
29 And from the house of Gilgal, and out of the countreis of Geba, and Azmaueth: for the singers had built them villages round about Ierusalem.
y Bet-gilgal y los campos de Geba y Azmavet, porque los cantores se edificaron aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.
30 And the Priests and Leuites were purified, and clensed the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Se purificaron los sacerdotes y los levitas. También purificaron al pueblo, las puertas y el muro.
31 And I brought vp the princes of Iudah vpon the wall, and appointed two great companies to giue thankes, and the one went on the right hand of the wall toward the dung gate.
Entonces ordené a los jefes de Judá que subieran sobre el muro. Establecí dos grandes coros que elevaban alabanzas y acciones de gracias. El primero marchaba a la derecha del muro, hacia la puerta del Muladar,
32 And after them went Hoshaiah, and halfe of the princes of Iudah,
y tras ellos iba Osaías, la mitad de los jefes de Judá,
33 And Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam,
Azarías, Esdras, Mesulam,
34 Iudah, Beniamin, and Shemaiah, and Ieremiah,
Judá, Benjamín, Semaías y Jeremías.
35 And of the Priests sonnes with trumpets, Zechariah the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zaccur, ye sonne of Asaph.
Algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes marchaban con trompetas: Zacarías, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf,
36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Iudah, Hanani, with the musicall instruments of Dauid the man of God: and Ezra the scribe went before them.
y sus hermanos Semaías, Azarael, Milalay, Gilalay, Maay, Natanael, Judá, Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David, varón de ʼElohim. El escriba Esdras marchaba al frente de ellos.
37 And to the gate of the fountaine, euen ouer against them went they vp by the staires of the citie of Dauid, at the going vp of the wall beyond the house of Dauid, euen vnto the water gate Eastward.
Las gradas de la ciudad de David subieron directamente en la puerta de la Fuente, por la subida al muro que está por encima de la casa de David, hacia la puerta del Agua, hacia el oriente.
38 And the seconde companie of them that gaue thankes, went on the other side, and I after them, and the halfe of the people was vpon the wall, and vpon the towre of the furnaces euen vnto the broad wall.
El segundo coro que elevaba alabanzas y acciones de gracias marchaba en sentido contrario. Yo iba con ellos y con la mitad del pueblo, sobre el muro desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho,
39 And vpon the gate of Ephraim, and vpon the olde gate, and vpon the fishgate, and the towre of Hananeel, and the towre of Meah, euen vnto the sheepegate: and they stood in the gate of the warde.
por la puerta de Efraín, por la puerta Antigua, por la puerta del Pescado, la torre de Hananel y la torre de los Cien hasta la puerta de las Ovejas y hasta la puerta de la Guardia.
40 So stood the two companies (of them that gaue thankes) in the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers with me.
Entonces los dos coros que elevaban alabanzas y acciones de gracias se detuvieron en el Templo de ʼElohim, también yo y la mitad de los dirigentes conmigo.
41 The Priests also, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
Los sacerdotes Elyaquim, Maaseías, Miniamín, Micaías, Elioenay, Zacarías y Hananías tenían las trompetas,
42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Vzzi, and Iehohanan, and Malchiiah, and Elam, and Ezer: and the singers sang loude, hauing Izrahiah which was the ouerseer.
y Maasías, Semaías, Eliazar, Uzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam Ezer y los cantores cantaban a viva voz dirigidos por Izrahías.
43 And the same day they offered great sacrifices and reioyced: for God had giuen them great ioy, so that both the women, and the children were ioyfull: and the ioy of Ierusalem was heard farre off.
Aquel día inmolaron grandes sacrificios y se alegraron porque ʼElohim los deleitó con gran regocijo, del que participaban también las mujeres y los niños. La alegría de Jerusalén se oía desde lejos.
44 Also at the same time were men appointed ouer the chambers of the store for the offerings (for the first fruites, and for the tithes) to gather into them out of the fieldes of the cities, the portions of the Law for the Priests and the Leuites: for Iudah reioyced for the Priests and for the Leuites, that serued.
En aquel día algunos fueron designados para que se encargaran de los almacenes para las ofrendas, las primicias y los diezmos, a fin de recoger en ellos los productos del campo y las porciones legales que correspondían a los sacerdotes y levitas. Judá se alegraba de contemplar a los sacerdotes y los levitas en su servicio.
45 And both the singers and the Leuites kept the ward of their God, and the warde of the purification according to the commandement of Dauid, and Salomon his sonne.
Éstos guardaban el precepto de su ʼElohim y observaban las purificaciones. También los cantores y porteros cumplían lo establecido para ellos según los mandatos de David y su hijo Salomón,
46 For in the dayes of Dauid and Asaph, of olde were chiefe singers, and songs of praise and thankesgiuing vnto God.
porque desde los días de David y Asaf, desde tiempo antiguo, había directores para los cantores, los cánticos de alabanza y acción de gracias a ʼElohim.
47 And in the dayes of Zerubbabel, and in the dayes of Nehemiah did al Israel giue portions vnto the singers and porters, euerie day his portion, and they gaue the holy things vnto the Leuites, and the Leuites gaue the holy things vnto the sonnes of Aaron.
En días de Zorobabel y Nehemías, todo Israel daba porciones a los cantores y a los porteros, como era requerido día a día. Quedó consagrado lo prescrito para los levitas, así como para los hijos de Aarón.
