Nehemiah 12
1 These also are the Priestes and the Leuites that went vp with Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua: to wit, Seraiah, Ieremiah, Ezra,
Isaan kunneen lubootaa fi Lewwota warra Zarubaabel ilma Sheʼaltiiʼeelii fi Iyyaasuu wajjin deebiʼanii dha: Seraayaa, Ermiyaas, Izraa,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
Amariyaa, Maluuk, Haxuush,
3 Shecaniah, Rehum, Merimoth,
Shekaaniyaa, Rehuum, Mereemooti,
4 Iddo, Ginnetho, Abiiah,
Iddoo, Ginetoon, Abiyaa,
5 Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
Miyaamiin, Maʼaadiyaa, Bilgaa,
6 Shemaiah, and Ioiarib, Iedaiah,
Shemaaʼiyaa, Yooyaariib, Yedaaʼiyaa,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiiah, Iedaiah: these were the chiefe of the Priests, and of their brethren in the dayes of Ieshua.
Saʼaaluu, Aamoq, Hilqiyaa fi Yedaaʼiyaa. Warri kun bara Iyyaasuu keessa hooggantoota lubootaatii fi obboloota isaanii turan.
8 And the Leuites, Ieshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Iudah, Mattaniah were ouer the thankesgiuings, he, and his brethren.
Lewwonni immoo Yeeshuuʼaa, Binuuyii, Qadmiiʼeel, Sheereebiyaa, Yihuudaa akkasumas Mataaniyaa isa obboloota isaa wajjin faarfannaa galataatti itti gaafatamaa ture sana turan.
9 And Bakbukiah and Vnni, and their brethren were about them in the watches.
Obboleeyyan isaanii Baqbuqiyaa fi Unniin yeroo tajaajilaatti fuullee isaanii dhadhaabachaa turan.
10 And Ieshua begate Ioiakim: Ioiakim also begate Eliashib, and Eliashib begate Ioiada.
Iyyaasuun abbaa Yooyaaqiim; Yooyaaqiim abbaa Eliyaashiib; Eliyaashiib abbaa Yooyaadaa ti;
11 And Ioiada begate Ionathan, and Ionathan begate Iaddua,
Yooyaadaan abbaa Yoonaataan; Yoonaataan abbaa Yaaduʼaa ti.
12 And in the daies of Ioiakim were these, the chiefe fathers of the Priests: vnder Seraiah was Meraiah, vnder Ieremiah, Hananiah,

13 Vnder Ezra, Meshullam, vnder Amariah, Iehohanan,
maatii Izraa keessaa Meshulaam; maatii Amariyaa keessaa Yehohaanaan;
14 Vnder Melicu, Ionathan, vnder Shebaniah, Ioseph,
maatii Maliikii keessaa Yoonaataan; maatii Shebaniyaa keessaa Yoosef;
15 Vnder Harim, Adna, vnder Maraioth, Helkai,
maatii Haariim keessaa Adinaa; maatii Meraayoot keessaa Helqaayi;
16 Vnder Iddo, Zechariah, vnder Ginnithon, Meshullam,
maatii Iddoo keessaa Zakkaariyaas; maatii Ginetoon keessaa Meshulaam;
17 Vnder Abiiah, Zichri, vnder Miniamin, and vnder Moadiah, Piltai,
maatii Abiyaa keessaa Zikrii; maatii Miniyaamiinii fi kan Moʼaadiyaa keessaa Philxaayi;
18 Vnder Bilgah, Shammua, vnder Shemaiah, Iehonathan,
maatii Bilgaa keessaa Shamuuʼaa; maatii Shemaaʼiyaa keessaa Yoonaataan;
19 Vnder Ioiarib, Mattenai, vnder Iedaiah, Vzzi,
maatii Yooyaariib keessaa Matenaayi; maatii Yedaaʼiyaa keessaa Uzii;
20 Vnder Sallai, Kallai, vnder Amok, Eber,
maatii Sheelaay keessaa Qaalaayi; maatii Aamoq keessaa Eeber;
21 Vnder Hilkiah, Hashabiah, vnder Iedaiah, Nethaneel.
maatii Hilqiyaa keessaa Hashabiyaa; maatii Yedaaʼiyaa keessaa Naatnaaʼel.
22 In the dayes of Eliashib, Ioiada, and Iohanan and Iaddua were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites written, and the Priests in the reigne of Darius the Persian.
Abbootiin maatii Lewwotaa bara Eliyaashiib, Yooyaadaa, Yoohaanaanii fi bara Yaaduʼaa keessa akkasumas abbootiin maatii lubootaa bara mootummaa Daariyoos namicha Faares sanaa keessa galmeeffaman.
23 The sonnes of Leui, the chiefe fathers were written in the booke of the Chronicles euen vnto the dayes of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib.
Lewwonni warri abbootii maatii turan hamma bara Yoohaanaan ilma Eliyaashiibitti kitaaba seenaa keessatti galmeeffaman.
24 And the chiefe of the Leuites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Ieshua the sonne of Kadmiel, and their brethren about them to giue prayse and thankes, according to the ordinance of Dauid the man of God, ward ouer against warde.
Hangafoonni Lewwotaas Hashabiyaa, Sheereebiyaa, Yeeshuʼaa ilma Qadmiiʼeel akkasumas obboloota isaanii warra akkuma Daawit namni Waaqaa sun ajajetti faarfannaa fi galata dhiʼeessuudhaaf fuullee isaanii dhaabatanii gareen tokko garee kaan jalaa qabu sana turan.
25 Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were porters keeping the warde at the thresholds of the gates.
Mataaniyaan, Baqbuqiyaan, Obaadiyaan, Meshulaam, Talmoonii fi Aquub mankuusaalee karrawwan bira jiran eegu turan.
26 These were in the dayes of Ioiakim, the sonne of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and in the dayes of Nehemiah the captaine, and of Ezra the Priest and scribe.
Isaanis bara Yooyaaqiim ilma Iyyaasuu, ilma Yoozaadaaq keessa, bara Nahimiyaa bulchaa biyyaatii fi bara Izraa lubicha barreessaa sanaa keessa tajaajilaa turan.
27 And in the dedication of the wall at Ierusalem they sought the Leuites out of all their places to bring them to Ierusalem to keepe the dedication and gladnes, both with thankesgiuings and with songs, cymbales, violes and with harpes.
Yeroo eebba dallaa Yerusaalemitti Lewwonni akka faarfannaa galataatiin, kililleedhaan, baganaa fi kiraaraan ayyaana eebbaa sana gammachuun ayyaaneffataniif iddoo jiraatan hundaa barbaadamanii gara Yerusaalem fidaman.
28 Then the singers gathered themselues together both from the plaine countrey about Ierusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
Faarfattoonnis biyya naannoo Yerusaalem jechuunis gandoota Netoofotaatii,
29 And from the house of Gilgal, and out of the countreis of Geba, and Azmaueth: for the singers had built them villages round about Ierusalem.
Beet Gilgaalii, naannoo Gebaatii fi Azmaawetitti walitti fidaman; faarfattoonni naannoo Yerusaalemitti gandoota ofii isaanii ijaarratanii turaniitii.
30 And the Priests and Leuites were purified, and clensed the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Luboonnii fi Lewwonnis erga akka seeraatti of qulqulleessanii booddee saba, karrawwanii fi dallaa sana qulqulleessan.
31 And I brought vp the princes of Iudah vpon the wall, and appointed two great companies to giue thankes, and the one went on the right hand of the wall toward the dung gate.
Anis akka hooggantoonni Yihuudaa dallaatti ol baʼan nan godhe. Akkasumas akka isaan galata dhiʼeessaniif tuuta faarfattootaa lama nan ramade. Tuunni tokko karaa mirgaatiin dallaa irraan gara Karra Dikee dhaqe.
32 And after them went Hoshaiah, and halfe of the princes of Iudah,
Hooshaʼiyaa fi hooggantoota Yihuudaa keessaa walakkaan,
33 And Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam,
Azaariyaa, Izraa, Meshulaam,
34 Iudah, Beniamin, and Shemaiah, and Ieremiah,
Yihuudaa, Beniyaam, Shemaaʼiyaa fi Ermiyaas wajjin isaan duukaa buʼan;
35 And of the Priests sonnes with trumpets, Zechariah the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zaccur, ye sonne of Asaph.
akkasumas luboonni malakata qabatan tokko tokkoo fi Zakkaariyaas ilmi Yoonaataan, ilmi Shemaaʼiyaa, ilmi Mataaniyaa, Miikaayaa, ilmi Zakuur, ilmi Asaaf isaan duukaa buʼan;
36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Iudah, Hanani, with the musicall instruments of Dauid the man of God: and Ezra the scribe went before them.
amma illee obboloota isaa jechuunis Shemaaʼiyaan, Azariʼeel, Miilaalaayi, Gilaalayi, Maaʼayi, Naatnaaʼel, Yihuudaa fi Hanaaniim akkuma Daawit namni Waaqaa sun ajajetti meeshaa faarfannaa fudhatanii dhaqan. Izraan barreessaan sun immoo isaan hoogganaa ture.
37 And to the gate of the fountaine, euen ouer against them went they vp by the staires of the citie of Dauid, at the going vp of the wall beyond the house of Dauid, euen vnto the water gate Eastward.
Isaanis Karra Burqaa biraa kaʼanii gulantaawwan Magaalaa Daawit iddoo dallaan ittiin ol kaʼu sanaan mana Daawit irraan qajeelanii gara Karra Bishaanii kan gama baʼa biiftuutti ol baʼan.
38 And the seconde companie of them that gaue thankes, went on the other side, and I after them, and the halfe of the people was vpon the wall, and vpon the towre of the furnaces euen vnto the broad wall.
Tuunni faarfattootaa lammaffaan immoo gara bitaatti qajeele. Anis gartokkee sabaa wajjin dallaa gubbaadhaan gara Gamoo ol dheeraa Iddoo Ibiddaatii fi Dallaa Balʼaatti isaan duukaa buʼe;
39 And vpon the gate of Ephraim, and vpon the olde gate, and vpon the fishgate, and the towre of Hananeel, and the towre of Meah, euen vnto the sheepegate: and they stood in the gate of the warde.
akkasumas ani Karra Efreem irraan, karaa Karra Moofaa, karaa Karra Qurxummii, karaa Gamoo ol dheeraa Hanaaniʼeelii fi Karaa Gamoo ol dheeraa Dhibbaatiin hamma Karra Hoolotaatti isaan duukaa nan buʼe. Isaanis Karra Eegdotaa bira gaʼanii dhaabatan.
40 So stood the two companies (of them that gaue thankes) in the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers with me.
Tuunni faarfattootaa kan galata dhiʼeesse sun lachuu mana Waaqaa keessatti iddoo isaa qabate; anis qondaaltota gartokko wajjin iddoo nan qabadhe;
41 The Priests also, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
amma illee luboonni jechuunis Eliiyaaqiim, Maʼaseyaan, Miiniyaamiin, Miikaayaan, Eliiyooʼeenayin, Zakkaariyaasii fi Hanaaniyaan malakata isaanii qabatanii
42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Vzzi, and Iehohanan, and Malchiiah, and Elam, and Ezer: and the singers sang loude, hauing Izrahiah which was the ouerseer.
Maʼaseyaan, Shemaaʼiyaan, Eleʼaazaar, Ooziin, Yehohaanaaniin, Malkiyaan, Eelaamii fi Eezer iddoo iddoo isaanii qabatan. Faarfattoonni immoo Yizrahiyaadhaan qajeelfamanii faarfatan.
43 And the same day they offered great sacrifices and reioyced: for God had giuen them great ioy, so that both the women, and the children were ioyfull: and the ioy of Ierusalem was heard farre off.
Isaanis sababii Waaqni gammachuu guddaa isaaniif kenneef gaafas gammadaa aarsaa guddaa dhiʼeessan. Dubartoonnii fi ijoolleenis ni gammadan. Sagaleen gammachuu Yerusaalem keessaas fagootti dhagaʼame.
44 Also at the same time were men appointed ouer the chambers of the store for the offerings (for the first fruites, and for the tithes) to gather into them out of the fieldes of the cities, the portions of the Law for the Priests and the Leuites: for Iudah reioyced for the Priests and for the Leuites, that serued.
Yeroo sanatti namoonni mankuusaalee gumaachi, mataan midhaaniitii fi kennaan harka kudhan keessaa tokkoo itti galfamu irratti itti gaafatamtoota taʼanii muudaman. Isaanis lafa qotiisaa naannoo magaalaawwanitti argaman irraa qooda Seerri lubootaa fi Lewwotaaf ajaju sana fidanii mankuusaaleetti galchan; Yihuudaan lubootaa fi Lewwota tajaajilanitti gammadee tureetii.
45 And both the singers and the Leuites kept the ward of their God, and the warde of the purification according to the commandement of Dauid, and Salomon his sonne.
Isaanis tajaajila Waaqa isaaniitii fi tajaajila sirna qulqullessuu sana akkuma faarfattoonnii fi eegdonni karraa godhan sana akkuma Daawitii fi ilmi isaa Solomoon ajajanitti raawwatan.
46 For in the dayes of Dauid and Asaph, of olde were chiefe singers, and songs of praise and thankesgiuing vnto God.
Jabana durii bara Daawitii fi Asaaf keessa qajeelchitoota faarfattootaa, kan faarfannaa Waaqa leellisuutii fi kan Waaqa galateeffachuutu tureetii.
47 And in the dayes of Zerubbabel, and in the dayes of Nehemiah did al Israel giue portions vnto the singers and porters, euerie day his portion, and they gaue the holy things vnto the Leuites, and the Leuites gaue the holy things vnto the sonnes of Aaron.
Kanaafuu bara Zarubaabelii fi bara Nahimiyaa keessa Israaʼeloonni hundi qooda guyyuma guyyaadhaan faarfattootaa fi karra eegdotaaf barbaachisu kennan. Akkasumas Lewwota kaaniif qooda isaanii kophaatti baasan; Lewwonnis qooda sanyiiwwan Aroon kophaatti baasan.
