Nehemiah 12
1 These also are the Priestes and the Leuites that went vp with Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua: to wit, Seraiah, Ieremiah, Ezra,
Følgende er Præsterne og Leviter, der drog op med Zerubbabel, Sjealtiels Søn, og Jesua: Seraja, Jirmeja, Ezra,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

4 Iddo, Ginnetho, Abiiah,

5 Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
Mijjamin, Ma'adja, Bilga,
6 Shemaiah, and Ioiarib, Iedaiah,
Sjemaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiiah, Iedaiah: these were the chiefe of the Priests, and of their brethren in the dayes of Ieshua.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkija og Jedaja. Det var Overhovederne for Præsterne og deres Brødre paa Jesuas Tid.
8 And the Leuites, Ieshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Iudah, Mattaniah were ouer the thankesgiuings, he, and his brethren.
Leviterne: Jesua, Binnuj, Kadmiel, Sjerebja, Juda, Mattanja, der sammen med sine Brødre forestod Lovsangen,
9 And Bakbukiah and Vnni, and their brethren were about them in the watches.
medens Bakbukja og Unni sammen med deres Brødre stod over for dem efter deres Afdelinger.
10 And Ieshua begate Ioiakim: Ioiakim also begate Eliashib, and Eliashib begate Ioiada.
Jesua avlede Jojakim, Jojakim avlede Eljasjib, Eljasjib avlede Jojada,
11 And Ioiada begate Ionathan, and Ionathan begate Iaddua,
Jojada avlede Johanan, og Johanan avlede Jaddua.
12 And in the daies of Ioiakim were these, the chiefe fathers of the Priests: vnder Seraiah was Meraiah, vnder Ieremiah, Hananiah,
Paa Jojakims Tid var Overhovederne for Præsternes Fædrenehuse følgende: Meraja for Seraja, Hananja for Jirmeja,
13 Vnder Ezra, Meshullam, vnder Amariah, Iehohanan,
Mesjullam for Ezra, Johanan for Amarja,
14 Vnder Melicu, Ionathan, vnder Shebaniah, Ioseph,
Jonatan for Malluk, Josef for Sjebanja,
15 Vnder Harim, Adna, vnder Maraioth, Helkai,
Adna for Harim, Helkaj for Merajot,
16 Vnder Iddo, Zechariah, vnder Ginnithon, Meshullam,
Zekarja for Iddo, Mesjullam for Ginneton,
17 Vnder Abiiah, Zichri, vnder Miniamin, and vnder Moadiah, Piltai,
Zikri for Abija, .... for Minjamin, Piltaj for Ma'adja,
18 Vnder Bilgah, Shammua, vnder Shemaiah, Iehonathan,
Sjammua for Bilga, Jonatan for Sjemaja,
19 Vnder Ioiarib, Mattenai, vnder Iedaiah, Vzzi,
Mattenaj for Jojarib, Uzzi for Jedaja,
20 Vnder Sallai, Kallai, vnder Amok, Eber,
Kallaj for Sallu, Eber for Amok,
21 Vnder Hilkiah, Hashabiah, vnder Iedaiah, Nethaneel.
Hasjabja for Hilkija og Netan'el for Jedaja.
22 In the dayes of Eliashib, Ioiada, and Iohanan and Iaddua were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites written, and the Priests in the reigne of Darius the Persian.
Leviterne: .... . I Eljasjibs, Jojadas, Johanans og Jadduas Dage optegnedes Overhovederne for Fædrenehusene og Præsterne indtil Perseren Darius's Regering.
23 The sonnes of Leui, the chiefe fathers were written in the booke of the Chronicles euen vnto the dayes of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib.
Af Levis Efterkommere optegnedes Overhovederne for Fædrenehusene i Krønikebogen ned til Johanans, Eljasjibs Søns, Dage.
24 And the chiefe of the Leuites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Ieshua the sonne of Kadmiel, and their brethren about them to giue prayse and thankes, according to the ordinance of Dauid the man of God, ward ouer against warde.
Og Leviternes Overhoveder var: Hasjabja, Sjerebja, Jesua, Binnuj, Kadmiel og deres Brødre, der stod over for dem for at synge Lovsangen og Takkesangen efter den Guds Mand Davids Bud, den ene Afdeling efter den anden;
25 Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were porters keeping the warde at the thresholds of the gates.

26 These were in the dayes of Ioiakim, the sonne of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and in the dayes of Nehemiah the captaine, and of Ezra the Priest and scribe.
Disse var Overhoveder paa Jojakims Tid, en Søn af Jesua, en Søn af Jozadak, og paa Statholderen Nehemias's og Præsten Ezra den Skriftlærdes Tid.
27 And in the dedication of the wall at Ierusalem they sought the Leuites out of all their places to bring them to Ierusalem to keepe the dedication and gladnes, both with thankesgiuings and with songs, cymbales, violes and with harpes.
Da Jerusalems Mur skulde indvies, opsøgte man Leviterne alle Vegne, hvor de boede, og bragte dem til Jerusalem, for at de skulde fejre Indvielsen med Fryd og Takkesang, med Sang, Cymbler, Harper og Citre.
28 Then the singers gathered themselues together both from the plaine countrey about Ierusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
Da samledes Sangerne fra Egnen om Jerusalem og fra Netofatiternes Landsbyer,
29 And from the house of Gilgal, and out of the countreis of Geba, and Azmaueth: for the singers had built them villages round about Ierusalem.
fra Bet-Gilgal, fra Gebas og Azmavets Marker; thi Sangerne havde bygget sig Landsbyer rundt om Jerusalem.
30 And the Priests and Leuites were purified, and clensed the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Da Præsterne og Leviterne havde renset sig, rensede de Folket, Portene og Muren.
31 And I brought vp the princes of Iudah vpon the wall, and appointed two great companies to giue thankes, and the one went on the right hand of the wall toward the dung gate.
Saa lod jeg Judas Øverster stige op paa Muren og opstillede to store Lovprisningstog. Det ene drog til højre oven paa Muren ad Møgporten til,
32 And after them went Hoshaiah, and halfe of the princes of Iudah,
og med det fulgte Hosjaja og den ene Halvdel af Judas Øverster;
33 And Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam,
dernæst nogle af Præsterne med Trompeter, Azarja, Ezra, Mesjullam,
34 Iudah, Beniamin, and Shemaiah, and Ieremiah,
Juda, Benjamin, Sjemaja og Jirmeja;
35 And of the Priests sonnes with trumpets, Zechariah the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zaccur, ye sonne of Asaph.
endvidere Zekarja, en Søn af Jonatan, en Søn af Sjemaja, en Søn af Mattanja, en Søn af Mika, en Søn af Zakkur, en Søn af Asaf,
36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Iudah, Hanani, with the musicall instruments of Dauid the man of God: and Ezra the scribe went before them.
og hans Brødre Sjemaja, Azar'el, Milalaj, Gilalaj, Ma'aj, Netan'el, Juda, Hanani med den Guds Mand Davids Musikinstrumenter, med Ezra den Skriftlærde i Spidsen;
37 And to the gate of the fountaine, euen ouer against them went they vp by the staires of the citie of Dauid, at the going vp of the wall beyond the house of Dauid, euen vnto the water gate Eastward.
og de gik over Kildeporten; derpaa gik de lige ud op ad Trinene til Davidsbyen, ad Opgangen paa Muren oven for Davids Palads hen til Vandporten mod Øst.
38 And the seconde companie of them that gaue thankes, went on the other side, and I after them, and the halfe of the people was vpon the wall, and vpon the towre of the furnaces euen vnto the broad wall.
Det andet Lovprisningstog, hvor jeg og den anden Halvdel af Folkets Øverster var med, drog til venstre oven paa Muren, over Ovntaarnet til den brede Mur
39 And vpon the gate of Ephraim, and vpon the olde gate, and vpon the fishgate, and the towre of Hananeel, and the towre of Meah, euen vnto the sheepegate: and they stood in the gate of the warde.
og videre over Efraimsporten, den gamle Port, Fiskeporten, Hanan'eltaarnet og Meataarnet til Faareporten og stillede sig op i Fængselsporten.
40 So stood the two companies (of them that gaue thankes) in the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers with me.
Derpaa stillede de to Lovprisningstog sig op i Guds Hus, jeg sammen med Halvdelen af Øversterne
41 The Priests also, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
og Præsterne Eljakim, Ma'aseja, Minjamin, Mika, Eljoenaj, Zekarja, Hananja med Trompeter,
42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Vzzi, and Iehohanan, and Malchiiah, and Elam, and Ezer: and the singers sang loude, hauing Izrahiah which was the ouerseer.
endvidere Ma'aseja, Sjemaja, El'azar, Uzzi, Johanan, Malkija, Elam og Ezer. Og Sangerne stemte i, ledede af Jizraja.
43 And the same day they offered great sacrifices and reioyced: for God had giuen them great ioy, so that both the women, and the children were ioyfull: and the ioy of Ierusalem was heard farre off.
Paa den Dag ofrede de store Slagtofre og var glade, thi Gud havde bragt dem stor Glæde; ogsaa Kvinderne og Børnene var glade; og Glæden i Jerusalem hørtes langt bort.
44 Also at the same time were men appointed ouer the chambers of the store for the offerings (for the first fruites, and for the tithes) to gather into them out of the fieldes of the cities, the portions of the Law for the Priests and the Leuites: for Iudah reioyced for the Priests and for the Leuites, that serued.
Paa den Dag indsattes der Mænd til at have Tilsyn med de Kamre, der brugtes til Forraadene, Offerydelserne, Førstegrøden og Tienden, for i dem at opsamle de i Loven foreskrevne Afgifter til Præsterne og Leviterne fra de forskellige Bymarker, thi Juda glædede sig over Præsterne og Leviterne, der gjorde Tjeneste;
45 And both the singers and the Leuites kept the ward of their God, and the warde of the purification according to the commandement of Dauid, and Salomon his sonne.
og disse tog Vare paa, hvad der var at varetage for deres Gud og ved Renselsen, ligesom ogsaa Sangerne og Dørvogterne gjorde deres Gerning efter Davids og hans Søn Salomos Bud.
46 For in the dayes of Dauid and Asaph, of olde were chiefe singers, and songs of praise and thankesgiuing vnto God.
Thi allerede paa Davids Tid var Asaf Leder for Sangerne og for Lov— og Takkesangene til Gud.
47 And in the dayes of Zerubbabel, and in the dayes of Nehemiah did al Israel giue portions vnto the singers and porters, euerie day his portion, and they gaue the holy things vnto the Leuites, and the Leuites gaue the holy things vnto the sonnes of Aaron.
Hele Israel gav paa Zerubbabels og Nehemias's Tid Afgifter til Sangerne og Dørvogterne, efter som det krævedes Dag for Dag; og de gav Leviterne Helliggaver, og Leviterne gav Arons Sønner Helliggaver.
