Nehemiah 11
1 And the rulers of the people dwelt in Ierusalem: the other people also cast lottes, to bring one out of ten to dwel in Ierusalem the holy citie, and nine partes to be in the cities.
Les chefs du peuple s’établirent à Jérusalem. Le reste du peuple tira au sort, pour qu’un sur dix vînt habiter Jérusalem, la ville sainte, les neuf autres parties restant dans les autres villes.
2 And the people thanked all the men that were willing to dwell in Ierusalem.
Le peuple bénit tous ceux qui se décidèrent d’eux-mêmes à résider à Jérusalem.
3 These now are the chiefe of the prouince, that dwelt in Ierusalem, but in the cities of Iudah, euery one dwelt in his owne possession in their cities of Israel, the Priestes and the Leuites, and the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruants.
Voici les chefs de famille de la province qui s’établirent à Jérusalem. Dans les villes de Juda, chacun s’établit dans sa propriété, dans sa ville: Israël, les prêtres et les lévites, les Nathinéens et les fils des serviteurs de Salomon:
4 And in Ierusalem dwelt certaine of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin. Of the sonnes of Iudah, Athaiah, the sonne of Vziiah, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Mahaleel, of the sonnes of Perez,
À Jérusalem s’établirent des fils de Juda et des fils de Benjamin. — Des fils de Juda: Athaïas, fils d’Aziam, fils de Zacharie, fils d’Amarias, fils de Saphatias, fils de Malaléel, des fils de Pharès;
5 And Maaseiah the sonne of Baruch, the sonne of Col Hozeh, the sonne of Hazaiah, the sonne of Adaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Shiloni.
et Maasias, fils de Baruch, fils de Cholhoza, fils de Hazias, fils d’Adaïas, fils de Joïarib, fils de Zacharie, fils de Séla.
6 All the sonnes of Perez that dwelt at Ierusalem, were foure hundreth, three score and eight valiant men.
Total des fils de Pharès qui s’établirent à Jérusalem: quatre cent soixante-huit hommes vaillants.
7 These also are the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Ioed, the sonne of Pedaiah, the sonne of Kolaiah, the sonne of Maaseiah, the sonne of Ithiel, the sonne of Ieshaiah.
— Voici les fils de Benjamin: Sellum, fils de Mosollam, fils de Joëd, fils de Phadaïas, fils de Colaïas, fils de Maasias, fils d’Ethéel, fils d’Isaïe,
8 And after him Gabai, Sallai, nine hundreth and twentie and eight.
et après lui Gebbaï-Sellaï: neuf cent vingt-huit.
9 And Ioel the sonne of Zichri was gouernour ouer them: and Iudah, the sonne of Senuah was the second ouer the citie:
Joël, fils de Zéchri, était leur chef, et Juda, fils de Sénua, était le second chef de la ville.
10 Of the Priestes, Iedaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, Iachin.
Des prêtres: Idaïas, fils de Joïarib, Jachin,
11 Seraiah, the sonne of Hilkiah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub was chiefe of the house of God.
Saraïas, fils de Helcias, fils de Mosollam, fils de Sadoc, fils de Méraïoth, fils d’Achitob, prince de la maison de Dieu,
12 And their brethren that did the worke in the Temple, were eight hundreth, twenty and two: and Adaiah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Pelaliah, the sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah:
et leurs frères qui faisaient le travail dans la maison: huit cent vingt-deux; Adaïas, fils de Jéroham, fils de Phéléias, fils d’Amsi, fils de Zacharie, fils de Phashur, fils de Melchias,
13 And his brethren, chiefe of the fathers, two hundreth and two and fourtie: and Amashsai the sonne of Azareel, the sonne of Ahazai, the sonne of Meshilemoth, the sonne of Immer:
et ses frères, chefs de famille: deux cent quarante-deux; et Amassaï, fils d’Azréel, fils d’Ahazi, fils de Mosollamoth, fils d’Emmer,
14 And their brethren valiant men, an hundreth and eight and twentie: and their ouerseer was Zabdiel the sonne of Hagedolim.
et leurs frères, hommes vaillants: cent vingt-huit. Zabdiel, fils de Hagdolim, était leur chef.
15 And of the Leuites, Shemaiah, the sonne of Hashub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Bunni.
Des lévites: Séméïas, fils de Hasub, fils d’Azaricam, fils de Hasabias, fils de Boni;
16 And Shabbethai, and Iozabad of the chiefe of the Leuites were ouer the workes of the house of God without.
Sabathaï et Jozabed, chargés des affaires extérieures de la maison de Dieu, du nombre des chefs des lévites;
17 And Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zabdi, the sonne of Asaph was the chiefe to begin the thankesgiuing and prayer: and Bakbukiah the second of his brethren, and Abda, the sonne of Shammua, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun.
Mathanias, fils de Micha, fils de Zébédéi, fils d’Asaph, le chef qui entonnait le chant de louange à la prière; Becbécias, le second parmi ses frères, et Abda, fils de Samua, fils de Galal, fils d’Idithun.
18 All the Leuites in the holy citie were two hundreth foure score and foure.
Total des lévites dans la ville sainte: deux cent quatre-vingt-quatre.
19 And the porters Akkub, Talmon and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundreth twentie and two.
Et les portiers: Accub, Telmon et leurs frères, gardiens des portes: cent soixante-douze.
20 And the residue of Israel, of the Priests, and of the Leuites dwelt in al the cities of Iudah, euery one in his inheritance.
Le reste d’Israël, les prêtres, les lévites, étaient dans toutes les autres villes de Juda, chacun dans sa propriété.
21 And the Nethinims dwelt in the fortresse, and Ziha, and Gispa was ouer the Nethinims.
Les Nathinéens, s’établirent dans le quartier d’Ophel; Siha et Gaspha étaient préposés aux Nathinéens.
22 And the ouerseer of the Leuites in Ierusalem was Vzzi the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Ashabiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha: of the sonnes of Asaph singers were ouer the worke of the house of God.
Le chef des lévites à Jérusalem était Azzi, fils de Bani, fils de Hasabias, fils de Mathanias, fils de Micha, d’entre les fils d’Asaph, les chantres chargés du service de la maison de Dieu.
23 For it was the Kings commandement cocerning them, that faithfull prouision shoulde bee for the singers euery day.
Car il y avait une ordonnance du roi à leur sujet, et un salaire déterminé était accordé aux chantres pour chaque jour.
24 And Pethahiah the sonne of Meshezabeel, of the sonnes of Zerah, the sonne of Iudah was at the Kings hand in all matters concerning the people.
Phathahias, fils de Mésézébel, d’entre les fils de Zara, fils de Juda, était commissaire du roi pour toutes les affaires du peuple.
25 And in the villages in their landes, some of the children of Iudah dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and in Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and in Iekabzeel. and in the villages thereof,
Quant aux villages et à leurs territoires, des fils de Juda s’établirent: à Cariath-Arbé et dans les villes de sa dépendance, à Dibon et dans les villes de sa dépendance, à Cabséel et dans ses villages,
26 And in Ieshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth palet,
à Jésué, à Molada, à Beth-Phalet,
27 And in Hazer-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,
à Hasersual, à Bersabée et dans les villes de sa dépendance,
28 And in Ziklag, and in Mechonah, and in the villages thereof,
à Siceleg, à Mochona, et dans les villes de sa dépendance,
29 And in En-rimmon, and in Zareah, and in Iarmuth,
à En-Remmon, à Saraa, à Jérimuth,
30 Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, in Lachish, and in the fieldes thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof: and they dwelt from Beer-sheba, vnto the valley of Hinnom.
à Zanoé, à Odollam et dans leurs villages, à Lachis et dans son territoire, à Azéca et dans les villes de sa dépendance. Ils s’établirent depuis Bersabée jusqu’à la vallée d’Ennom.
31 And the sonnes of Beniamin from Geba, in Michmash, and Aiia, and Beth-el, and in the villages thereof,
Des fils de Benjamin s’établirent depuis Geba, à Machmas, à Haï, à Béthel et dans les villes de sa dépendance,
32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
à Anathoth, à Nob, à Anania,
33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
à Asor, à Rama, à Géthaïm,
34 Hadid, Zeboim, Nebalat,
à Hadid, à Séboïm, à Néballat,
35 Lod and Ono, in the carpenters valley.
à Lod et à Ono, dans la Vallée des Ouvriers.
36 And of the Leuites were diuisions in Iudah and in Beniamin.
Il y eut, parmi les lévites, des classes appartenant à Juda qui se joignirent à Benjamin.
