Nahum 2
1 The destroyer is come before thy face: keepe the munition: looke to the way: make thy loynes strong: increase thy strength mightily.
Subió destruidor contra ti: guarda la fortaleza, mira el camino, fortifica los lomos, fortalece mucho la fuerza.
2 For the Lord hath turned away the glorie of Iaakob, as the glorie of Israel: for the emptiers haue emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
Porque Jehová tornará así la gloria de Jacob como la gloria de Israel; porque los vaciaron vaciadores, e hirieron sus mugrones.
3 The shield of his mightie men is made red: the valiant men are in skarlet: the charets shalbe as in the fire and flames in the day of his preparation, and the firre trees shall tremble.
El escudo de sus valientes será bermejo, los varones de su ejército vestidos de grana: el carro como fuego de hachas: el día que se aparejará, las hayas temblarán.
4 The charets shall rage in the streetes: they shall runne to and from in the hie wayes: they shall seeme like lampes: they shall shoote like the lightning.
Los carros harán locuras en las plazas, discurrirán por las calles sus rostros como hachas: correrán como relámpagos.
5 He shall remember his strong men: they shall stumble as they goe: they shall make haste to the walles thereof, and the defence shall bee prepared.
El se acordará de sus valientes, andando tropezarán cuando se apresuraren a su muro, y la cubierta se aparejare.
6 The gates of the riuers shalbe opened, and the palace shall melt.
Las puertas de los ríos se abrirán, y el palacio será destruido.
7 And Huzzab the Queene shalbe led away captiue, and her maides shall leade her as with the voyce of doues, smiting vpon their breastes.
Y la reina fue cautiva, mandarle han que suba; y sus criadas la llevarán, gimiendo como palomas, batiendo sus pechos.
8 But Nineueh is of olde like a poole of water: yet they shall flee away. Stande, stande, shall they crie: but none shall looke backe.
Y fue Nínive de tiempo antiguo como estanque de aguas: mas ellos ahora huyen: Parád, parád; y ninguno mira.
9 Spoyle ye the siluer, spoyle the golde: for there is none ende of the store, and glorie of all the pleasant vessels.
Saqueád plata, saqueád oro: no hay fin de las riquezas: honra, más que todo ajuar de codicia.
10 She is emptie and voyde and waste, and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and sorowe is in all loynes, and the faces of the all gather blackenesse.
Vacía, y agotada, y despedazada quedará, y el corazón derretido: batimiento de rodillas, y dolor en todos riñones; y las haces de todos ellos tomarán negrura.
11 Where is the dwelling of the lyons, and the pasture of the lyons whelpes? where the lyon, and the lionesse walked, and the lyons whelpe, and none made them afrayde.
¿Qué es de la morada de los leones, y de la majada de los cachorros de leones, donde se recogía el león y la leona, y los cachorros del león; y no había quien les pusiese miedo?
12 The lyon did teare in pieces ynough for his whelpes, and woryed for his lyonesse, and filled his holes with praye, and his dennes with, spoyle.
El león arrebataba asaz para sus cachorros, y ahogaba para sus leonas; y henchía de presa sus cavernas, y de robo sus moradas.
13 Beholde, I come vnto thee, sayeth the Lord of hostes, and I will burne her charets in the smoke, and the sworde shall deuoure thy yong lyons, and I will cut off thy spoyle from the earth, and the voyce of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
He aquí yo hablo a ti, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, que encenderé con humo tus carros, y a tus leoncillos tragará espada; y raeré de la tierra tu robo, y nunca más se oirá voz de tus embajadores.
