Micah 7
1 Woe is me, for I am as the sommer gatherings, and as the grapes of the vintage: there is no cluster to eate: my soule desired the first ripe fruites.
Malheureux! je suis comme quand les fruits sont cueillis, que l'on grappille après la vendange! Point de raisin à manger, de ces figues hâtives que désire mon âme.
2 The good man is perished out of the earth, and there is none righteous among men: they all lye in wayte for blood: euery man hunteth his brother with a net.
Les bons sont disparus du pays; parmi les hommes plus de gens de bien! ils épient tous le sang à verser; chacun cherche à prendre son frère au piège.
3 To make good for the euil of their hands, the prince asked, and the iudge iudgeth for a reward: therefore the great man he speaketh out the corruption of his soule: so they wrapt it vp.
Pour le mal on a des mains pour le bien faire; le magistrat demande et le juge est vénal, et le grand exprime le désir de son âme, et eux prévariquent.
4 The best of them is as a brier, and the most righteous of them is sharper then a thorne hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation commeth: then shalbe their confusion.
Le meilleur d'entre eux est comme un buisson d'épines, le plus droit pire qu'une haie. Le jour de tes sentinelles, ton châtiment viendra; alors ils seront dans la perplexité.
5 Trust ye not in a friend, neither put ye confidence in a counseller: keepe the doores of thy mouth from her that lyeth in thy bosome.
Ne vous fiez pas à l'ami, ne comptez pas sur l'intime, contre la femme couchée dans ton sein garde les portes de ta bouche.
6 For the sonne reuileth the father: ye daughter riseth vp against her mother: the daughter in lawe against her mother in lawe, and a mans enemies are the men of his owne house.
Car le fils méprise son père, la fille s'insurge contre sa mère, la bru contre sa belle-mère; l'homme a pour ennemis les gens de sa maison.
7 Therefore I will looke vnto the Lord: I will waite for God my Sauiour: my God will heare me.
« Mais moi de mes yeux je cherche l'Éternel, j'attends mon Dieu sauveur; mon Dieu m'entendra.
8 Reioyce not against me, O mine enemie: though I fall, I shall arise: when I shall sit in darkenesse, the Lord shalbe a light vnto me.
Ne te réjouis pas, mon ennemie, à mon sujet! Si je suis tombée, je me relèverai; si je suis assise dans les ténèbres, l'Éternel sera ma lumière.
9 I will beare the wrath of the Lord because I haue sinned against him, vntill he pleade my cause, and execute iudgement for me: then will he bring me foorth to the light, and I shall see his righteousnesse.
Je me soumets au courroux de l'Éternel, parce que j'ai péché contre lui, jusqu'à ce qu'il soutienne ma querelle, et défende ma cause, et me produise à la lumière, et que sa justice réjouisse mes regards.
10 Then she that is mine enemie, shall looke vpon it, and shame shall couer her, which said vnto me, Where is the Lord thy God? Mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be troden downe as the myre of the streetes.
Et mon ennemie le verra, et la honte couvrira celle qui me disait: Où est l'Éternel, ton Dieu? Elle réjouira mes regards; alors elle sera foulée comme la boue dés rues. »
11 This is ye day, that thy walles shalbe built: this day shall driue farre away the decree.
Le jour de la restauration de tes murs, ce jour-là tes limites seront reculées.
12 In this day also they shall come vnto thee from Asshur, and from the strong cities, and from the strong holdes euen vnto the riuer, and from Sea to Sea, and from mountaine to mountaine.
C'est le jour où vers toi on accourra, de l'Assyrie aux villes d'Egypte, et de l'Egypte au fleuve, de la mer à la mer, et des montagnes aux montagnes.
13 Notwithstanding, the lande shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, and for the fruites of their inuentions.
Et la terre sera ravagée à cause de ses habitants, à cause des fruits de leurs œuvres.
14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flocke of thine heritage (which dwell solitarie in the wood) as in the middes of Carmel: let them feede in Bashan and Gilead, as in olde time.
« Fais paître ton peuple avec ta houlette, le troupeau qui t'appartient et doit habiter solitaire, dans la forêt au milieu du Carmel. Qu'ils paissent en Basan et Galaad, comme aux jours d'autrefois. »
15 According to the dayes of thy comming out of the lande of Egypt, will I shewe vnto him marueilous things.
« Comme aux jours de ta sortie du pays d'Egypte je te ferai voir des merveilles! »
16 The nations shall see, and be confounded for all their power: they shall lay their hande vpon their mouth: their eares shall be deafe.
Les peuples le verront et auront honte de toute leur puissance, ils mettront la main sur la bouche, leurs oreilles seront assourdies.
17 They shall licke the dust like a serpent: they shall mooue out of their holes like wormes: they shalbe afraide of the Lord our God, and shall feare because of thee.
Ils mordront la poussière comme le serpent, comme les reptiles de la terre; ils quitteront éperdus leurs forts; à l'Éternel notre Dieu ils viendront tout tremblants, et seront craintifs devant toi.
18 Who is a God like vnto thee, that taketh away iniquitie, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage! He reteineth not his wrath for euer, because mercie pleaseth him.
Qui est un Dieu, comme toi, pardonnant le crime et passant le péché au reste de ton héritage? Il ne garde pas sa colère à jamais, car Il se plaît à la clémence.
19 He will turne againe, and haue compassion vpon vs: he will subdue our iniquities, and cast all their sinnes into the bottome of the sea.
De nouveau Il prendra pitié de nous, Il mettra nos crimes sous ses pieds, et Tu jetteras au fond de la mer tous nos péchés.
20 Thou wilt perfourme thy trueth to Iaakob, and mercie to Abraham, as thou hast sworne vnto our fathers in olde time.
Tu montreras à Jacob ta fidélité, et à Abraham la grâce que tu as jurée à nos pères dès les jours d'autrefois.
