Micah 6
1 Hearken ye nowe what the Lord sayth, Arise thou, and contende before the mountaines, and let the hilles heare thy voyce.
Vernehmt, was jetzt der Herr euch sagt: "Auf! Führe Klage vor den Bergen! Die Hügel sollen deine Stimme hören!"
2 Heare ye, O mountaynes, the Lordes quarel, and ye mightie foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a quarell against his people, and he will pleade with Israel.
So hört des Herren Klage, ihr Berge, und merket auf, ihr festen Gründe dieser Erde! Denn eine Klage hat der Herr wider sein Volk; mit Israel hat er zu rechten.
3 O my people, what haue I done vnto thee? or wherin haue I grieued thee? testifie against me.
"Mein Volk! Was hab ich dir getan? Und womit hab ich dich gekränkt? Antworte mir!
4 Surely I brought thee vp out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of seruants, and I haue sent before thee, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
Hab ich dich nicht aus dem Ägypterland geführt und dich befreit aus einem Sklavenhaus und dir vorauf den Moses, Aaron und die Mirjam gesandt?
5 O my people, remember nowe what Balak King of Moab had deuised, and what Balaam the sonne of Beor answered him, from Shittim vnto Gilgal, that ye may knowe the righteousnes of the Lord.
Mein Volk! Bedenk, was Balak, Moabs König, plante, und was ihm Bileam, der Beorsohn zur Antwort gab! - von Sittim bis nach Gilgal hin, damit des Herren Gnadentaten offenkundig werden!"
6 Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bowe my selfe before the hie God? Shall I come before him with burnt offrings, and with calues of a yeere olde?
"Womit soll vor den Herrn ich treten, mich beugen vor dem Gott der Höhe? Soll ich vor ihn mit Brandopfern hintreten, mit Kälbern, die noch nicht einjährig?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand riuers of oyle? shall I giue my first borne for my transgression, euen the fruite of my bodie, for the sinne of my soule?
Hat wohl der Herr an Tausenden von Widdern Freude, an ungezählten Bächen Öls? Soll meinen Erstgebornen ich für eine Missetat hingeben und meine Leibesfrucht für meiner Seele Schuld?"
8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: surely to doe iustly, and to loue mercie, and to humble thy selfe, to walke with thy God.
Dir hat man, Mensch, was gut ist, kundgetan. Was fordert denn der Herr von dir in Wirklichkeit, als recht zu tun und dich der Güte zu befleißen und deinen Gott demütig zu verehren?
9 The Lordes voyce cryeth vnto the citie, and the man of wisedome shall see thy name: Heare the rodde, and who hath appoynted it.
Laut spricht der Herr zur Stadt, und eine Offenbarung wird daselbst erlebt! Horcht auf! Wer droht die Rute an?
10 Are yet the treasures of wickednes in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure, that is abominable?
"Noch immer sind des Frevlerhauses Unheil ungerechte Schätze und ein verkleinertes, verwünschtes Maß.
11 Shall I iustifie the wicked balances, and the bag of deceitfull weightes?
Wie aber kann ich weiter heilig dastehn und dabei frevlerische Waage dulden, einen Beutel voll mit falschen Waagesteinen?
12 For the rich men thereof are full of crueltie, and the inhabitants thereof haue spoken lyes, and their tongue is deceitfull in their mouth.
Weil ihre reichen Leute von Gewalttat voll und ihre Einwohner nur Lügen reden, weil trügerisch in ihrem Mund die Zunge,
13 Therefore also will I make thee sicke in smiting thee, and in making thee desolate, because of thy sinnes.
drum schlag ich dir unheilbar tiefe Wunden und vernichte dich um deiner Sünden willen.
14 Thou shalt eate and not be satisfied, and thy casting downe shall be in the mids of thee, and thou shalt take holde, but shalt not deliuer: and that which thou deliuerest, will I giue vp to the sworde.
Du wirst zwar essen, aber dich nicht sättigen. Und was in dir erzeugt, das bringst du zwar zur Welt; doch hältst du's nicht am Leben. Du willst beiseite schaffen, aber du wirst nichts beiseite bringen; was du am Leben hältst, das gebe ich dem Schwerte preis.
15 Thou shalt sowe, but not reape: thou shalt treade the oliues, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oyle, and make sweete wine, but shalt not drinke wine.
Du wirst zwar säen, doch nicht ernten; du wirst Oliven pressen, doch mit dem Öle dich nicht salben, und keltern neuen Wein, doch wirst du ihn nicht trinken.
16 For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the maner of the house of Ahab, and ye walke in their counsels, that I should make thee waste, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall beare the reproche of my people.
Denn Omris Wesen hat man nachgeahmt, des Achabhauses ganzes Treiben. Ihr folgtet ihren Grundsätzen. Dafür geh ich dich preis dem Untergang und mache zum Gespötte die Bewohner. Der Völker Schmähung müßt ihr tragen."
