Micah 2
1 Woe vnto them, that imagine iniquitie, and worke wickednesse vpon their beddes: when the morning is light they practise it because their hande hath power.
Malheur à vous, qui songez à l’inutile, et qui inventez le mal sur vos lits; à la lumière du matin ils l’accomplissent, parce que c’est contre Dieu qu’est élevée leur main.
2 And they couet fields, and take them by violence, and houses, and take them away: so they oppresse a man and his house, euen man and his heritage.
Et ils ont convoité des champs, et ils les ont pris violemment; et ils ont usurpé des maisons; et ils opprimaient un homme et sa maison; un autre homme et son héritage.
3 Therefore thus saieth the Lord, Beholde, against this familie haue I deuised a plague, whereout yee shall not plucke your neckes, and ye shall not go so proudly, for this time is euill.
C’est pour cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Voici que moi je prépare pour cette famille un malheur dont vous ne retirerez pas vos cous, et vous ne marcherez pas en superbes, parce que c’est un temps très mauvais.
4 In that daye shall they take vp a parable against you, and lament with a dolefull lamentation, and say, We be vtterly wasted: hee hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he taken it away to restore it vnto mee? he hath deuided our fieldes.
En ce jour-là, vous serez pris pour un sujet de parabole, et avec un doux plaisir sera chantée la chanson de ceux qui diront: Par la désolation nous avons été ravagés; la portion de mon peuple a été changée; comment se retirera-t-il de moi, puisqu’il reviendra pour partager nos contrées?
5 Therefore thou shalt haue none that shall cast a corde by lot in the Congregation of the Lord.
À cause de cela, il n’y aura personne qui mette le cordeau de partage dans l’assemblée du Seigneur.
6 They that prophecied, Prophecie ye not. They shall not prophecie to them, neither shall they take shame.
Ne dites point sans cesse: Il ne répandra pas ses oracles sur eux, la confusion ne les couvrira pas.
7 O thou that art named of the house of Iaakob, is the Spirite of the Lord shortened? are these his workes? are not my wordes good vnto him that walketh vprightly?
La maison de Jacob dit: Est-ce que l’esprit du Seigneur a été raccourci, ou est-ce que telles sont ses pensées? Mes paroles ne sont-elles pas favorables à celui qui marche dans la droiture?
8 But hee that was yesterday my people, is risen vp on the other side, as against an enemie: they spoyle the beautifull garment from them that passe by peaceably, as though they returned from the warre.
Mais, au contraire, mon peuple s’est levé en adversaire; de dessus la tunique, vous avez enlevé le manteau; et ceux qui passaient de bonne foi, vous les avez tournés à la guerre.
9 The women of my people haue ye cast out from their pleasant houses, and from their childre haue ye taken away my glorie continually.
Vous avez chassé les femmes de mon peuple de la maison de leurs délices; vous avez enlevé ma louange à leurs petits enfants pour jamais.
10 Arise and depart, for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, euen with a sore destruction.
Levez-vous, et allez, parce qu’il n’y a point de repos ici pour vous; à cause de son impureté, cette terre sera corrompue d’une putréfaction horrible.
11 If a man walke in the Spirit, and would lie falsely, saying, I wil prophecie vnto thee of wine, and of strong drinke, he shall euen be the prophet of this people.
Plût à Dieu que je fusse un homme n’ayant pas l’esprit prophétique, et que je parlasse plutôt mensonge! je le verserai le vin de la colère de Dieu, et je t’enivrerai; et celui pour qui il sera versé, sera ce peuple.
12 I will surely gather thee wholy, O Iaakob: I will surely gather the remnant of Israel: I will put them together as the sheepe of Bozrah, euen as the flocke in the mids of their folde: the cities shall be full of brute of the men.
Je te rassemblerai certainement tout entier, ô Jacob; je réunirai les restes d’Israël; je les mettrai tous ensemble comme dans une bergerie, comme un troupeau au milieu de son parc; une multitude d’hommes y causera du tumulte.
13 The breaker vp shall come vp before them: they shall breake out, and passe by the gate, and goe out by it, and their King shall goe before them, and the Lord shalbe vpon their heades.
Car celui qui ouvrira le chemin, montera devant eux: ils se partageront, et passeront à la porte et entreront par elle; et leur roi passera en leur présence, et le Seigneur sera à leur tête.
