Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not iudged.
“മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കരുത്, വിധിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങളും വിധിക്കപ്പെടും.
2 Eor with what iudgement ye iudge, ye shall be iudged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you againe.
നിങ്ങൾ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ വിധിക്കുന്ന അതേ മാനദണ്ഡത്താൽ നിങ്ങളും വിധിക്കപ്പെടും നിങ്ങൾ അളക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന അതേ അളവുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കും അളന്നുകിട്ടും.
3 And why seest thou the mote, that is in thy brothers eye, and perceiuest not the beame that is in thine owne eye?
“സ്വന്തം കണ്ണിൽ മരക്കഷണം ഇരിക്കുന്നതു ഗൗനിക്കാതെ നിങ്ങൾ സഹോദരങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതെന്തുകൊണ്ട്?
4 Or howe sayest thou to thy brother, Suffer me to cast out the mote out of thine eye, and beholde, a beame is in thine owne eye?
നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം കണ്ണിൽ ഒരു മരക്കഷണമിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ സഹോദരങ്ങളോട്, ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണിലെ കരട് എടുത്തുകളയട്ടെ’ എന്നു നിനക്ക് എങ്ങനെ പറയാൻകഴിയും?
5 Hypocrite, first cast out that beame out of thine owne eye, and then shalt thou see clearely to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.
കപടഭക്തരേ, ആദ്യം നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണിൽനിന്ന് മരക്കഷണം എടുത്തുകളയുക. അപ്പോൾ സഹോദരങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണിൽനിന്ന് കരട് എടുത്തുകളയുന്നതിന് നിങ്ങൾക്കു വ്യക്തമായി കാണാൻ കഴിയും.
6 Giue ye not that which is holy, to dogges, neither cast ye your pearles before swine, lest they treade them vnder their feete, and turning againe, all to rent you.
“വിശുദ്ധമായതു നായ്ക്കൾക്കു കൊടുക്കരുത്, നിങ്ങളുടെ മുത്തുകൾ പന്നികളുടെമുമ്പിൽ എറിയുകയുമരുത്; പന്നികൾ ആ മുത്തുകൾ ചവിട്ടിമെതിക്കയും നായ്ക്കൾ തിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളെ ചീന്തിക്കളയുകയും ചെയ്യും.
7 Aske, and it shall be giuen you: seeke, and ye shall finde: knocke, and it shall be opened vnto you.
“അപേക്ഷിക്കുക, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അതു ലഭിക്കും; അന്വേഷിക്കുക, നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടെത്തും; മുട്ടുക, നിങ്ങൾക്കായി വാതിൽ തുറക്കപ്പെടും.
8 For whosoeuer asketh, receiueth: and he, that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു ലഭിക്കുന്നു; അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു; മുട്ടുന്നവർക്ക് വാതിൽ തുറക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
9 For what man is there among you, which if his sonne aske him bread, woulde giue him a stone?
“നിങ്ങളുടെ മകൻ അപ്പം ചോദിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങളിലാരാണ് അവനു കല്ലു കൊടുക്കുക?
10 Or if he aske fish, wil he giue him a serpent?
അല്ലാ, മീൻ ചോദിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങളിലാരാണ് പാമ്പിനെ നൽകുന്നത്?
11 If ye then, which are euill, can giue to your children good giftes, howe much more shall your Father which is in heauen, giue good thinges to them that aske him?
മക്കൾക്കു നല്ല ദാനങ്ങൾ കൊടുക്കാൻ പാപികളായ നിങ്ങൾക്കറിയാമെങ്കിൽ, സ്വർഗസ്ഥപിതാവ് തന്നോടപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു നല്ല ദാനങ്ങൾ എത്രയധികമായി നൽകും!
12 Therefore whatsoeuer ye woulde that men should doe to you, euen so doe ye to them: for this is the Lawe and the Prophets.
അതുകൊണ്ട്, മറ്റുള്ളവർ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അവരോടും ചെയ്യുക; ഇതുതന്നെയാണ് ന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും പറയുന്നതിന്റെ സാരാംശം.
13 Enter in at the streight gate: for it is the wide gate, and broade way that leadeth to destruction: and many there be which goe in thereat,
“ഇടുങ്ങിയ വാതിലിലൂടെ പ്രവേശിക്കുക. നാശത്തിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്ന വാതിൽ വീതിയുള്ളതും വഴി വിസ്തൃതവുമാകുന്നു; അതിലൂടെ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നവർ അനേകരാണ്.
14 Because the gate is streight, and the way narowe that leadeth vnto life, and fewe there be that finde it.
എന്നാൽ, ജീവനിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്ന വാതിൽ എത്രയോ ഇടുങ്ങിയതും പാത ദുഷ്കരവുമാണ്; അതു കണ്ടെത്തുന്നവരോ വിരളം.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you, in sheepes clothing, but inwardly they are rauening wolues.
“ആടുകളുടെ വേഷമണിഞ്ഞ് നിങ്ങളെ സമീപിക്കുന്ന വ്യാജപ്രവാചകരെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക; അകമേ അവർ അത്യാർത്തിപൂണ്ട ചെന്നായ്ക്കളാണ്.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruites. Doe men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thistles?
അവരുടെ ചെയ്തികളിലൂടെ നിങ്ങൾക്കവരെ തിരിച്ചറിയാം. മുൾച്ചെടികളിൽനിന്ന് മുന്തിരിക്കുലകളോ ഞെരിഞ്ഞിലുകളിൽനിന്ന് അത്തിപ്പഴമോ ശേഖരിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ?
17 So euery good tree bringeth foorth good fruite, and a corrupt tree bringeth forth euill fruite.
നല്ലവൃക്ഷം നല്ലഫലവും വിഷവൃക്ഷം വിഷഫലവും നൽകുന്നു.
18 A good tree can not bring forth euil fruite: neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruite.
നല്ലവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ വിഷഫലവും വിഷവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ നല്ലഫലവും കായ്ക്കുകയില്ല.
19 Euery tree that bringeth not forth good fruite, is hewen downe, and cast into the fire.
നല്ലഫലമേകാത്ത ഏതു വൃക്ഷവും വെട്ടി തീയിലെറിയുന്നു.
20 Therefore by their fruites ye shall knowe them.
ഇതുപോലെ, വ്യാജപ്രവാചകരെ അവരുടെ ചെയ്തികളിലൂടെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തിരിച്ചറിയാം.
21 Not euery one that sayeth vnto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdome of heauen, but he that doeth my Fathers will which is in heauen.
“‘കർത്താവേ, കർത്താവേ’ എന്ന് എന്നെ വിളിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും സ്വർഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുകയില്ല. എന്റെ സ്വർഗസ്ഥപിതാവിന്റെ ഹിതം നിറവേറ്റുന്നവർക്കാണ് അവിടെ പ്രവേശനം.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, haue we not by thy Name prophecied? and by thy name cast out deuils? and by thy name done many great workes?
ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തിൽ പലരും എന്നോട്, ‘കർത്താവേ, കർത്താവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രവചിച്ചില്ലയോ? അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ ഉച്ചാടനംചെയ്തില്ലയോ? അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ധാരാളം അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തില്ലയോ?’ എന്നു പറയും.
23 And then will I professe to them, I neuer knewe you: depart from me, ye that worke iniquitie.
അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവരോട്, ‘ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഒരിക്കലും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല; അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുക എന്ന് ആജ്ഞാപിക്കും!’
24 Whosoeuer then heareth of mee these words, and doeth the same, I will liken him to a wise man, which hath builded his house on a rock:
“അതുകൊണ്ട്, എന്റെ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ട് അതിനനുസരിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തി പാറമേൽ വീടുപണിത ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യനു തുല്യം.
25 And the raine fell, and the floods came, and the windes blewe, and beat vpon that house, and it fell not: for it was grounded on a rocke.
പേമാരി പെയ്തു, പ്രളയം വന്നു, കാറ്റ് ആ വീടിന്മേൽ ആഞ്ഞടിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും പാറമേൽ അടിത്തറ ഉറപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നതിനാൽ അത് നിലംപതിച്ചില്ല.
26 But whosoeuer heareth these my wordes, and doeth them not, shall be likened vnto a foolish man, which hath builded his house vpon the sand:
എന്നാൽ, എന്റെ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ട് അതിനനുസരിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തി മണലിൽ വീടുപണിത ബുദ്ധിശൂന്യനായ മനുഷ്യനോട് സദൃശൻ.
27 And the raine fell, and the floods came, and the windes blewe, and beat vpon that house, and it fell, and the fall thereof was great.
പേമാരി പെയ്തു, പ്രളയം വന്നു, കാറ്റ് ആ വീടിന്മേൽ ആഞ്ഞടിച്ചു; അതിഭയങ്കരമായിരുന്നു ആ വീടിന്റെ പതനം.”
28 And it came to passe, when Iesus had ended these wordes, the people were astonied at his doctrine.
യേശു ഈ പ്രഭാഷണം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ ജനങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
29 For he taught them as one hauing authoritie, and not as the Scribes.
കാരണം, അവരുടെ വേദജ്ഞരെപ്പോലെയല്ല, പിന്നെയോ ആധികാരികതയോടെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചത്.
