Matthew 5
1 And when he sawe the multitude, he went vp into a mountaine: and when he was set, his disciples came to him.
၁ထိုလူအပေါင်းတို့ကို မြင်လျှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် တောင်ပေါ်သို့တက်၍ ထိုင်တော်မူသောအခါ၊ တပည့် တော်တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ရင်းသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်ကြ၏။
2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying,
၂ထိုအခါ နှုတ်တော်ကိုဖွင့်၍ တပည့်တော်တို့အား ဆုံးမဩဝါဒပေးတော်မူသည်မှာ၊
3 Blessed are the poore in spirit, for theirs is the kingdome of heauen.
၃စိတ်နှလုံးနှိမ့်ချသောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် ထိုသူ တို့၏ နိုင်ငံဖြစ်၏။
4 Blessed are they that mourne: for they shall be comforted.
၄စိတ်မသာညည်းတွားသောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ထိုသူတို့သည် သက်သာခြင်း သို့ ရောက်ကြလတံ့။
5 Blessed are the meeke: for they shall inherite the earth.
၅စိတ်နူးညံ့သိမ်မွေ့သောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် ပြည်တော်ကို အမွေခံရကြလတံ့။
6 Blessed are they which hunger and thirst for righteousnes: for they shalbe filled.
၆ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းပါရမီကို ဆာငတ်ခင်မွတ်သောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့ သည် ဝပြောခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြလတံ့။
7 Blessed are the mercifull: for they shall obteine mercie.
၇သနားစုံမက်တတ်သောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် သနားစုံမက်ခြင်း ကို ခံကြလတံ့။
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
၈စိတ်နှလုံးဖြူစင်သောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်ကို မြင်ရကြလတံ့။
9 Blessed are the peace makers: for they shall be called the children of God.
၉သူတပါးချင်း ခိုက်ရန်ပြုခြင်းကို ငြိမ်းစေတတ်သောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ထိုသူတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော်ဟု ခေါ်ဝေါ်ခြင်းကို ခံရကြလတံ့။
10 Blessed are they which suffer persecution for righteousnes sake: for theirs is the kingdome of heauen.
၁၀ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရားကြောင့် နှောင့်ရှက်ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းကို ခံရသောသူတို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် ထိုသူတို့၏ နိုင်ငံဖြစ်၏။
11 Blessed shall ye be when men reuile you, and persecute you, and say all maner of euill against you for my sake, falsely.
၁၁ငါ့ကြောင့် သင်တို့ကို ကဲ့ရဲ့ညှဉ်းဆဲ၍ မမှန်ဘဲလျက် အပြစ်တကာ တင်ကြသောအခါ၊ သင်တို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။
12 Reioyce and be glad, for great is your reward in heauen: for so persecuted they the Prophets which were before you.
၁၂ဝမ်းမြောက်ရွှင်မြူးခြင်းရှိကြလော့။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ သင်တို့၏ အကျိုးသည် ကြီးလှ ပေ၏။ သင်တို့ရှေ့က ပေါ်ထွန်းသော ပရောဖက်တို့ကို ထိုနည်းတူညှဉ်းဆဲကြပြီ။
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt haue lost his sauour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be troden vnder foote of men.
၁၃သင်တို့သည် ဤလောက၏ ဆားဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ဆားမူကား၊ အငန်ကင်းပျောက်လျှင် ငန်သောအရသာကို အဘယ်သို့ ရပြန်မည်နည်း။ ပြင်သို့ ပစ်လိုက်၍ ကျော်နင်းခြင်းမှတပါး အဘယ်အသုံးမျှမဝင်။
14 Ye are the light of the world. A citie that is set on an hill, cannot be hid.
၁၄သင်တို့သည် ဤလောက၏ အလင်းဖြစ်ကြ၏။ တောင်ထိပ်၌တည်သော မြို့ကို မကွယ်နိုင်။
15 Neither doe men light a candel, and put it vnder a bushel, but on a candlesticke, and it giueth light vnto all that are in the house.
၁၅ဆီမီးထွန်း၍ တောင်းဇလားအောက်၌ ဖုံးထားလေ့မရှိ။ အိမ်သူအိမ်သားအပေါင်းတို့သည် အလင်းကို ရစေခြင်းငှါ ဆီမီးခုံပေါ်မှာ တင်ထားလေ့ရှိ၏။
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good workes, and glorifie your Father which is in heauen.
၁၆ထိုနည်းတူ၊ သူတပါးတို့သည် သင်တို့၏ကောင်းသောအကျင့်ကိုမြင်၍၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ရှိတော်မူသော သင်တို့အဘ၏ဂုဏ်တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းစေခြင်းငှါ၊ သူတပါး ရှေ့၌ သင်တို့အလင်းကို လင်းစေကြလော့။
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the Lawe, or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy them, but to fulfill them.
၁၇ပညတ္တိကျမ်း၊ အနာဂတ္တိကျမ်းများကို ဖျက်ပယ်ခြင်းငှါ ငါလာသည်ဟု မထင်ကြနှင့်။ ဖျက်ပယ်ခြင်းငှါ ငါလာသည်မဟုတ်။ ပြည့်စုံစေခြင်းငှါ ငါလာသတည်း။
18 For truely I say vnto you, Till heauen, and earth perish, one iote or one title of the Law shall not scape, till all things be fulfilled.
၁၈ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နှင့် မြေကြီးမပျက်စီးမှီတိုင်အောင်၊ ပညတ္တိကျမ်း၌ အငယ်ဆုံးသော စာလုံးဗိန္ဓုတလုံးမျှ ပြည့်စုံခြင်းသို့ မရောက်မှီ မပျက်စီးရ။
19 Whosoeuer therefore shall breake one of these least commandements, and teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdome of heauen: but whosoeuer shall obserue and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdome of heauen.
၁၉ထိုကြောင့် အကြင်သူသည်၊ အငယ်ဆုံးသောပညတ်တခုကို ကိုယ်တိုင်လွန်ကျူး၍ သူတပါးတို့အား လည်း ထိုအတူသွန်သင်၏။ ထိုသူသည် ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်၌ အငယ်ဆုံးသောသူဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ အကြင်သူ သည် ကိုယ်တိုင်ကျင့်၍ သူတပါးတို့အားလည်း သွန်သင်၏။
20 For I say vnto you, except your righteousnes exceede the righteousnes of the Scribes and Pharises, ye shall not enter into the kingdome of heauen.
၂၀ထိုသူသည် ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်၌ ကြီးသောသူဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့ ကျင့်သောအကျင့်သည် ဖာရိရှဲတို့နှင့် ကျမ်းပြုဆရာတို့ကျင့်သောအကျင့်ထက် မလွန်မသာလျှင်၊ သင်တို့သည် ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သို့ မဝင်ရကြဟု ငါအမှန်ဆို၏။
21 Ye haue heard that it was sayd vnto them of the olde time, Thou shalt not kill: for whosoeuer killeth shalbe culpable of iudgement.
၂၁လူအသက်ကို မသတ်ရ။ သတ်သောသူသည် ရုံး၌အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကို ခံထိုက်ပေ၏ဟူသော ရှေးပညတ် စကားကို သင်တို့ကြားရပြီ။
22 But I say vnto you, whosoeuer is angry with his brother vnaduisedly, shalbe culpable of iudgment. And whosoeuer sayth vnto his brother, Raca, shalbe worthy to be punished by the Councill. And whosoeuer shall say, Foole, shalbe worthy to be punished with hell fire. (Geenna g1067)
၂၂ငါပညတ်သည်ကား၊ ညီအစ်ကိုကို အထောက်မတန် အမျက်ထွက်သောသူသည် ရုံး၌အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်း ကို ခံထိုက်ပေ၏။ ညီအစ်ကိုကို ကဲ့ရဲ့သောသူသည် လွှတ်တော်၌အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကို ခံထိုက်ပေ၏။ ညီအစ်ကိုကို ကျိန်ဆဲသောသူသည် ဂေဟင်္နာအရပ်၌ မီးရှို့ခြင်းကို ခံထိုက်ပေ၏။ (Geenna g1067)
23 If then thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remembrest that thy brother hath ought against thee,
၂၃ထိုကြောင့် သင်သည်ပူဇော်သက္ကာကို ယဇ်ပလ္လင်သို့ဆောင်ယူခဲ့လျက် သင်၏ညီအစ်ကိုသည် သင်၌ အပြစ်တင်ခွင့် တစုံတခုရှိသည်ဟု အောက်မေ့သတိရလျှင်၊ ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ရှေ့မှာ ပူဇော်သက္ကာကိုထား၍ သွားလော့။
24 Leaue there thine offring before the altar, and goe thy way: first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
၂၄ညီအစ်ကိုနှင့် သင့်တင့်ပြီးမှ ပြန်၍ ပူဇော်သက္ကာကို တင်လော့။
25 Agree with thine aduersarie quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him, lest thine aduersarie deliuer thee to the Iudge, and the Iudge deliuer thee to ye sergeant, and thou be cast into prison.
၂၅တရားတွေ့ဘက်နှင့်အတူ လမ်း၌သွားစဉ်တွင်ပင်၊ သူ၏စိတ်ကို ပြေစေခြင်းငှါ အလျင်အမြန်ပြုလော့။ သို့မဟုတ် တရားတွေ့ဘက်သည် တရားသူကြီး၌ အပ်မည်။ တရားသူကြီးသည်လည်း လုလင်ခေါင်း၌အပ်၍ ထောင်ထဲ၌ လှောင်ထားမည်။
26 Verely I say vnto thee, thou shalt not come out thence, till thou hast payed the vtmost farthing.
၂၆လျော်ပြစ်ငွေ ရှိသမျှကို မလျော်မှီတိုင်အောင် ထောင်ထဲကမထွက်ရဟု ငါအမှန်ဆို၏။
27 Ye haue heard that it was sayd to them of olde time, Thou shalt not commit adulterie.
၂၇သူ့မယားကို မပြစ်မှားရဟူသော ရှေးပညတ်စကားကို သင်တို့ကြားရပြီ။
28 But I say vnto you, that whosoeuer looketh on a woman to lust after her, hath committed adulterie with her already in his heart.
၂၈ငါပညတ်သည်ကား ကိလေသာစိတ်နှင့် သူ့မယားကိုကြည့်ရှုသောသူသည် စိတ်နှလုံးထဲ၌ ထိုမိန်းမနှင့် ပြစ်မှားပြီ။
29 Wherefore if thy right eye cause thee to offend, plucke it out, and cast it from thee: for better it is for thee, that one of thy members perish, then that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
၂၉ထိုကြောင့် လက်ျာမျက်စိဖြစ်သော်လည်း သင့်ကိုမှားယွင်းစေလျှင် ထိုမျက်စိကိုထုတ်ပစ်လော့။ တကိုယ်လုံး ငရဲသို့ချခြင်းကို ခံရသည်ထက် အင်္ဂါတခုပျက်သော် သာ၍ကောင်း၏။ (Geenna g1067)
30 Also if thy right hand make thee to offend, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for better it is for thee that one of thy members perish, then that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
၃၀ထိုနည်းတူ လက်ျာလက်ဖြစ်သော်လည်း သင့်ကိုမှားယွင်းစေလျှင် ထိုလက်ကိုဖြတ်ပစ်လော့။ တကိုယ်လုံး ငရဲသို့ချခြင်းကို ခံရသည်ထက် အင်္ဂါတခုသာ ပျက်သော်သာ၍ကောင်း၏။ (Geenna g1067)
31 It hath bene sayd also, Whosoeuer shall put away his wife, let him giue her a bill of diuorcement.
၃၁တဖန်တုံ၊ မယားနှင့်ကွာလိုလျှင် ဖြတ်စာကို အပ်ပေးစေဟူသော ပညတ်စကားရှိပြီ။
32 But I say vnto you, whosoeuer shall put away his wife (except it be for fornication) causeth her to commit adulterie: and whosoeuer shall marrie her that is diuorced, committeth adulterie.
၃၂ငါပညတ်သည်ကား၊ မှားယွင်းခြင်းအကြောင်းမှတပါး အခြားသောအကြောင်းဖြင့် မိမိမယားနှင့် ကွာသောသူသည် မိမိမယားကို မှားယွင်းစေ၏။ ကွာသောမိန်းမနှင့် စုံဘက်ခြင်းကို ပြုသောသူသည်လည်း သူ့မယားကို ပြစ်မှား၏။
33 Againe, ye haue heard that it was sayd to them of old time, Thou shalt not forsweare thy selfe, but shalt performe thine othes to the Lord.
၃၃တဖန်တုံ၊ မဟုတ်မမှန်ဘဲလျက် ကျိန်ဆိုခြင်းကိုမပြုရ။ ကျိန်ဆိုခြင်းကို ပြုသည်အတိုင်း ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့တော်၌ တည်စေလော့ဟူသော ရှေးပညတ်စကားကို သင်တို့ကြားရပြီ။
34 But I say vnto you, Sweare not at all, neither by heauen, for it is the throne of God:
၃၄ငါပညတ်သည်ကား၊ ကျိန်ဆိုခြင်းကို အလျင်းမပြုရ။ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံကို တိုင်တည်၍မကျိန်ရ။ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံကား ဘုရားသခင်၏ ပလ္လင်တော်ဖြစ်သတည်း။
35 Nor yet by the earth: for it is his footestoole: neither by Hierusalem: for it is the citie of the great King.
၃၅မြေကြီးကို တိုင်တည်၍မကျိန်ရ။ မြေကြီးကား ဘုရားသခင်၏ ခြေတော်တင်ရာ ခုံဖြစ်သတည်း။ ယေရှု ရှလင်မြို့ကို တိုင်တည်၍မကျိန်ရ။ မဟာမင်းကြီး၏မြို့တော် ဖြစ်သတည်း။
36 Neither shalt thou sweare by thine head, because thou canst not make one heare white or blacke.
၃၆ဆံခြည်တပင်ကိုမျှ ဖြူစေခြင်း၊ မည်းစေခြင်းငှါမတတ်နိုင်သော်၊ ကိုယ်ဦးခေါင်းကိုတိုင်တည်၍ မကျိန်ရ။
37 But let your communication be Yea, yea: Nay, nay. For whatsoeuer is more then these, commeth of euill.
၃၇သင်၏စကားမှာ ဟုတ်သည်ကိုအဟုတ်၊ မဟုတ်သည်ကို မဟုတ်ဖြစ်စေလော့။ ဤထက် လွန်သော စကားသည် မကောင်းသောအရာနှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်ပေ၏။
38 Ye haue heard that it hath bene sayd, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.
၃၈သူ့မျက်စိကို ဖျက်လျှင် ကိုယ်မျက်စိဖျက်ခြင်းကိုခံစေ။ သူ့သွားကိုချိုးလျှင် ကိုယ်သွားချိုးခြင်းကို ခံစေ ဟူသော ပညတ်စကားကို သင်တို့ကြားရပြီ။
39 But I say vnto you, Resist not euill: but whosoeuer shall smite thee on thy right cheeke, turne to him the other also.
၃၉ငါပညတ်သည်ကား၊ နှောင့်ရှက်သောသူကို မဆီးမတားနှင့်။ သင်၏ ပါးတဘက်ကို သူတပါးပုတ်လျှင် ပါးတဘက်ကို လှည့်၍ပေးဦးလော့။
40 And if any man wil sue thee at the law, and take away thy coate, let him haue thy cloke also.
၄၀သင့်အင်္ကျီကို ယူလို၍ တရားတွေ့သောသူအား သင့်ဝတ်လုံကိုလည်း ယူစေခြင်းငှါ အခွင့်ပေးဦးလော့။
41 And whosoeuer will compell thee to goe a mile, goe with him twaine.
၄၁အကြင်သူသည် သင့်ကို အနိုင်ပြု၍ ခရီးတတိုင်သွားစေ၏။ ထိုသူနှင့်တကွ နှစ်တိုင်သွားဦးလော့။
42 Giue to him that asketh, and from him that would borowe of thee, turne not away.
၄၂တောင်းသောသူအားပေးလော့။ ချေးငှါးလိုသောသူကိုလည်း မငြင်းမပယ်နှင့်။
43 Ye haue heard that it hath bin said, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour, and hate your enemie.
၄၃ကိုယ်နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောသူကို ချစ်လော့။ ရန်သူကို မုန်းလော့ဟူသောပညတ်စကားကို သင်တို့ ကြား ရပြီ။
44 But I say vnto you, Loue your enemies: blesse them that curse you: doe good to them that hate you, and pray for them which hurt you, and persecute you,
၄၄ငါပညတ်သည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ရှိတော်မူသော သင်တို့အဘ၏ သားဖြစ်လိုသော ငှါ။ သင်တို့၏ရန်သူတို့ကို ချစ်ကြလော့။ သင်တို့ကိုကျိန်ဆဲသောသူတို့အား မေတ္တာပို့ကြလော့။ သင်တို့ကို မုန်း သောသူတို့အား ကျေးဇူးပြုကြလော့။ သင်တို့ကို နှောင့်ရှက်ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူတို့အဘို့ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ဆုတောင်း ကြလော့။
45 That ye may be the children of your father that is in heauen: for he maketh his sunne to arise on the euill, and the good, and sendeth raine on the iust, and vniust.
၄၅အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ရှိတော်မူသော သင်တို့အဘသည်၊ ကောင်းသောသူမကောင်း သောသူတို့အပေါ်၌ ကိုယ်တော်၏နေကို ထွက်စေတော်မူ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ မဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့ အပေါ်၌ မိုဃ်းကို ရွာစေတော်မူ၏။
46 For if ye loue them, which loue you, what rewarde shall you haue? Doe not the Publicanes euen the same?
၄၆သင်တို့ကို ချစ်သောသူတို့အားသာ ချစ်တုံ့ပြုလျှင် အဘယ်ကျေးဇူးတင်သနည်း။ အခွန်ခံသူတို့ပင် ဤ မျှလောက်ပြုကြသည် မဟုတ်လော။
47 And if ye be friendly to your brethren onely, what singular thing doe ye? doe not euen the Publicanes likewise?
၄၇အဆွေအမျိုးတို့အားသာ လောကဝတ်ပြုလျှင် အဘယ်သို့ထူးမြတ်သနည်း။ သာသနာပလူတို့ပင် ထို အတူ ပြုကြသည်မဟုတ်လော။
48 Ye shall therefore be perfit, as your Father which is in heauen, is perfite.
၄၈ထို့ကြောင့် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ရှိတော်မူသော သင်တို့အဘသည် စုံလင်တော်မူသည်နည်းတူ သင်တို့ သည်လည်း စုံလင်ခြင်းရှိကြလော့။
