Matthew 28
1 Now in the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of ye weeke began to dawne, Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie came to see the sepulchre,
Sáng Chúa Nhật, trời mới rạng đông, Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len và Ma-ri, mẹ Gia-cơ đi thăm mộ Chúa.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the Angel of the Lord descended from heauen, and came and rolled backe the stone from the doore, and sate vpon it.
Thình lình, có trận động đất dữ dội! Một thiên sứ của Chúa từ trời giáng xuống, lăn tảng đá khỏi cửa mộ và ngồi lên trên.
3 And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snowe.
Mặt thiên sứ sáng như chớp nhoáng, áo trắng như tuyết.
4 And for feare of him, the keepers were astonied, and became as dead men.
Bọn lính canh run rẩy khiếp sợ, trở nên bất động như xác chết.
5 But the Angel answered, and said to the women, Feare ye not: for I know that ye seeke Iesus which was crucified:
Thiên sứ bảo: “Đừng sợ, tôi biết các bà tìm Chúa Giê-xu, Đấng đã chịu đóng đinh trên cây thập tự.
6 He is not here, for he is risen; as he saide: come, see the place where the Lord was laid,
Nhưng Chúa không ở đây đâu, Ngài sống lại rồi đúng như lời Ngài nói. Hãy đến xem chỗ Chúa đã nằm
7 And go quickly, and tel his disciples that he is risen from ye dead: and behold, he goeth before you into Galile: there ye shall see him: loe, I haue told you.
và lập tức đi loan tin cho các môn đệ biết Chúa đã sống lại! Hiện nay Chúa đi trước lên xứ Ga-li-lê để gặp các môn đệ Ngài tại đó. Xin các bà ghi nhớ!”
8 So they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with feare and great ioye, and did runne to bring his disciples worde.
Họ vừa sợ vừa mừng, vội vàng ra khỏi mộ, chạy đi báo tin cho các môn đệ.
9 And as they wet to tel his disciples, behold, Iesus also met the, saying, God saue you. And they came, and tooke him by the feete, and worshipped him.
Nhưng bất ngờ họ gặp Chúa Giê-xu. Thấy Ngài chào mừng, họ liền đến gần, ôm chân Chúa và thờ lạy Ngài.
10 Then said Iesus vnto them, Be not afraide. Goe, and tell my brethren, that they goe into Galile, and there shall they see me.
Chúa Giê-xu phán bảo họ: “Đừng sợ! Các con cứ đi báo tin mừng cho các anh chị em Ta để họ lên xứ Ga-li-lê họp mặt với Ta.”
11 Nowe when they were gone, beholde, some of the watch came into the citie, and shewed vnto the hie Priestes all ye things that were done.
Trong khi các bà đi về, bọn lính canh cũng chạy về thành báo mọi việc cho các thầy trưởng tế.
12 And they gathered them together with the Elders, and tooke counsell, and gaue large money vnto the souldiers,
Họ họp kín với các trưởng lão rồi cho bọn lính thật nhiều tiền
13 Saying, Say, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
và dặn: “Các anh cứ phao tin rằng giữa đêm, các anh đang ngủ, bọn môn đệ đã lẻn vào lấy trộm xác Giê-xu.
14 And if this matter come before the gouernour to be heard, we will perswade him, and so vse the matter that you shall not neede to care.
Nếu vụ này tới tai tổng trấn, chúng ta sẽ tìm cách giải thích để các anh khỏi bị liên lụy.”
15 So they tooke the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is noysed among the Iewes vnto this day.
Bọn lính nhận tiền và làm theo chỉ thị. Đến ngày nay, giữa vòng người Do Thái, người ta vẫn còn nghe lời đồn đại đó.
16 Then ye eleuen disciples wet into Galile, into a mountaine, where Iesus had appointed the.
Mười một sứ đồ đến xứ Ga-li-lê, lên ngọn núi Chúa Giê-xu đã hẹn.
17 And when they sawe him, they worshipped him: but some douted.
Vừa thấy Chúa, họ đều quỳ xuống thờ lạy Ngài, nhưng một vài người còn nghi ngờ.
18 And Iesus came, and spake vnto them, saying, All power is giuen vnto me, in heauen, and in earth.
Chúa Giê-xu đến gần các môn đệ, ân cần dặn bảo: “Tất cả uy quyền trên trời dưới đất đều giao về tay Ta.
19 Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Sonne, and the holy Ghost,
Vậy, các con hãy đi dìu dắt tất cả các dân tộc làm môn đệ Ta, làm báp-tem cho họ nhân danh Cha, Con, và Chúa Thánh Linh,
