Matthew 27
1 When the morning was come, all the chiefe Priests, and the elders of the people tooke counsell against Iesus, to put him to death,
Als es aber Morgen geworden war, hielten alle Hohenpriester und Ältesten des Volkes Rat wider Jesum, um ihn zum Tode zu bringen.
2 And led him away bounde, and deliuered him vnto Pontius Pilate the gouernour.
Und nachdem sie ihn gebunden hatten, führten sie ihn weg und überlieferten ihn Pontius Pilatus, dem Landpfleger.
3 Then when Iudas which betraied him, sawe that hee was condemned, hee repented himselfe, and brought againe the thirtie pieces of siluer to the chiefe Priestes, and Elders,
Als nun Judas, der ihn überliefert hatte, sah, daß er verurteilt wurde, gereute es ihn, und er brachte die dreißig Silberlinge den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten zurück und sagte:
4 Saying, I haue sinned, betraying the innocent bloud. But they sayde, What is that to vs? see thou to it.
Ich habe gesündigt, indem ich schuldloses Blut überliefert habe. Sie aber sagten: Was geht das uns an? Siehe du zu.
5 And when hee had cast downe the siluer pieces in the Temple, hee departed, and went, and hanged himselfe.
Und er warf die Silberlinge in den Tempel und machte sich davon und ging hin und erhängte sich.
6 And the chiefe Priestes tooke the siluer pieces, and sayde, It is not lawfull for vs to put them into the treasure, because it is the price of bloud.
Die Hohenpriester aber nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es ist nicht erlaubt, sie in den Korban zu werfen, dieweil es Blutgeld ist.
7 And they tooke counsell, and bought with them a potters fielde, for the buriall of strangers.
Sie hielten aber Rat und kauften dafür den Acker des Töpfers zum Begräbnis für die Fremdlinge.
8 Wherefore that field is called, The field of bloud, vntill this day.
Deswegen ist jener Acker Blutacker genannt worden bis auf den heutigen Tag.
9 (Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Ieremias the Prophet, saying, And they tooke thirtie siluer pieces, ye price of him that was valued, whom they of ye children of Israel valued.
Da wurde erfüllt, was durch den Propheten Jeremias geredet ist, welcher spricht: “Und sie nahmen die dreißig Silberlinge, den Preis des Geschätzten, welchen man geschätzt hatte seitens der Söhne Israels,
10 And they gaue them for the potters fielde, as the Lord appointed me.)
und gaben sie für den Acker des Töpfers, wie mir der Herr befohlen hat.”
11 And Iesus stood before ye gouernour, and the gouernour asked him, saying, Art thou that King of the Iewes? Iesus said vnto him, Thou sayest it.
Jesus aber stand vor dem Landpfleger. Und der Landpfleger fragte ihn und sprach: Bist du der König der Juden? Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es.
12 And when he was accused of the chiefe Priestes, and Elders, he answered nothing.
Und als er von den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten angeklagt wurde, antwortete er nichts.
13 Then saide Pilate vnto him, Hearest thou not howe many things they lay against thee?
Da spricht Pilatus zu ihm: Hörst du nicht, wie vieles sie wider dich zeugen?
14 But he answered him not to one worde, in so much that the gouernour marueiled greatly.
Und er antwortete ihm auch nicht auf einziges Wort, so daß der Landpfleger sich sehr verwunderte.
15 Nowe at the feast, the gouernour was wont to deliuer vnto the people a prisoner whom they would.
Auf das Fest aber war der Landpfleger gewohnt, der Volksmenge einen Gefangenen loszugeben, welchen sie wollten.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
Sie hatten aber damals einen berüchtigten Gefangenen, genannt Barabbas.
17 When they were then gathered together, Pilate said vnto the, Whether will ye that I let loose vnto you Barabbas, or Iesus which is called Christ?
Als sie nun versammelt waren, sprach Pilatus zu ihnen: Wen wollt ihr, daß ich euch losgeben soll, Barabbas oder Jesum, welcher Christus genannt wird?
18 (For he knewe well, that for enuie they had deliuered him.
Denn er wußte, daß sie ihn aus Neid überliefert hatten.
19 Also when he was set downe vpon the iudgement seate, his wife sent to him, saying, Haue thou nothing to do with that iust man: for I haue suffered many things this day in a dreame by reason of him.)
Während er aber auf dem Richterstuhl saß, sandte sein Weib zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Habe du nichts zu schaffen mit jenem Gerechten; denn viel habe ich heute im Traum gelitten um seinetwillen.
20 But the chiefe Priestes and the Elders had persuaded the people that they shoulde aske Barabbas, and should destroy Iesus.
Aber die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten überredeten die Volksmengen, daß sie um den Barabbas bäten, Jesum aber umbrächten.
21 Then the gouernour answered, and said vnto them, Whether of the twaine will ye that I let loose vnto you? And they said, Barabbas.
Der Landpfleger aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Welchen von den beiden wollt ihr, daß ich euch losgebe? Sie aber sprachen: Barabbas.
22 Pilate said vnto them, What shall I do then with Iesus, which is called Christ? They all said to him, Let him be crucified.
Pilatus spricht zu ihnen: Was soll ich denn mit Jesu tun, welcher Christus genannt wird? Sie sagen alle: Er werde gekreuzigt!
23 Then saide the gouernour, But what euill hath he done? Then they cryed the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
Der Landpfleger aber sagte: Was hat er denn Böses getan? Sie aber schrieen übermäßig und sagten: Er werde gekreuzigt!
24 When Pilate saw that he auailed nothing, but that more tumult was made, he tooke water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this iust man: looke you to it.
Als aber Pilatus sah, daß er nichts ausrichtete, sondern vielmehr ein Tumult entstand, nahm er Wasser, wusch seine Hände vor der Volksmenge und sprach: Ich bin schuldlos an dem Blute dieses Gerechten; sehet ihr zu.
25 Then answered all the people, and saide, His bloud be on vs, and on our children.
Und das ganze Volk antwortete und sprach: Sein Blut komme über uns und über unsere Kinder!
26 Thus let he Barabbas loose vnto them, and scourged Iesus, and deliuered him to be crucified.
Alsdann gab er ihnen den Barabbas los; Jesum aber ließ er geißeln und überlieferte ihn, auf daß er gekreuzigt würde.
27 Then the souldiers of the gouernour tooke Iesus into the common hall, and gathered about him the whole band,
Dann nahmen die Kriegsknechte des Landpflegers Jesum mit in das Prätorium und versammelten über ihn die ganze Schar;
28 And they stripped him, and put about him a skarlet robe,
und sie zogen ihn aus und legten ihm einen Purpurmantel um.
29 And platted a crowne of thornes, and put it vpon his head, and a reede in his right hand, and bowed their knees before him, and mocked him, saying, God saue thee King of the Iewes,
Und sie flochten eine Krone aus Dornen und setzten sie auf sein Haupt, und gaben ihm ein Rohr in seine Rechte; und sie fielen vor ihm auf die Knie und verspotteten ihn und sagten: Sei gegrüßt, König der Juden!
30 And spitted vpon him, and tooke a reede, and smote him on the head.
Und sie spieen ihn an, nahmen das Rohr und schlugen ihn auf das Haupt.
31 Thus when they had mocked him, they tooke the robe from him, and put his owne rayment on him, and led him away to crucifie him.
Und als sie ihn verspottet hatten, zogen sie ihm den Mantel aus und zogen ihm seine eigenen Kleider an; und sie führten ihn hin, um ihn zu kreuzigen.
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, named Simon: him they compelled to beare his crosse.
Als sie aber hinausgingen, fanden sie einen Menschen von Kyrene, mit Namen Simon; diesen zwangen sie, daß er sein Kreuz trüge.
33 And when they came vnto the place called Golgotha, (that is to say, the place of dead mens skulles)
Und als sie an einen Ort gekommen waren, genannt Golgatha, das heißt Schädelstätte,
34 They gaue him vineger to drinke, mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drinke.
gaben sie ihm Essig mit Galle vermischt zu trinken; und als er es geschmeckt hatte, wollte er nicht trinken.
35 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, and did cast lottes, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Prophet, They deuided my garments among them, and vpon my vesture did cast lottes.
Als sie ihn aber gekreuzigt hatten, verteilten sie seine Kleider, indem sie das Los warfen.
36 And they sate, and watched him there.
Und sie saßen und bewachten ihn daselbst.
37 They set vp also ouer his head his cause written, THIS IS IESVS THE KING OF THE IEVVES.
Und sie befestigten oben über seinem Haupte seine Beschuldigungsschrift: Dieser ist Jesus, der König der Juden.
38 And there were two theeues crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
Alsdann werden zwei Räuber mit ihm gekreuzigt, einer zur Rechten und einer zur Linken.
39 And they that passed by, reuiled him, wagging their heades,
Die Vorübergehenden aber lästerten ihn, indem sie ihre Köpfe schüttelten und sagten:
40 And saying, Thou that destroyest ye Temple, and buildest it in three dayes, saue thy selfe: if thou be ye Sonne of God, come downe from ye crosse.
Der du den Tempel abbrichst und in drei Tagen aufbaust, rette dich selbst. Wenn du Gottes Sohn bist, so steige herab vom Kreuze.
41 Likewise also the hie Priests mocking him, with the Scribes, and Elders, and Pharises, said,
Gleicherweise aber spotteten auch die Hohenpriester samt den Schriftgelehrten und Ältesten und sprachen:
42 He saued others, but he cannot saue him selfe: if he be ye King of Israel, let him now come downe from ye crosse, and we will beleeue in him.
Andere hat er gerettet, sich selbst kann er nicht retten. Er ist Israels König; so steige er jetzt vom Kreuze herab, und wir wollen an ihn glauben.
43 He trusted in God, let him deliuer him nowe, if he will haue him: for he saide, I am the Sonne of God.
Er vertraute auf Gott, der rette ihn jetzt, wenn er ihn begehrt; denn er sagte: Ich bin Gottes Sohn. -
44 The selfe same thing also ye theeues which were crucified with him, cast in his teeth.
Auf dieselbe Weise schmähten ihn auch die Räuber, die mit ihm gekreuzigt waren.
45 Now from ye sixt houre was there darkenesse ouer all the land, vnto the ninth houre.
Aber von der sechsten Stunde an kam eine Finsternis über das ganze Land bis zur neunten Stunde;
46 And about ye ninth houre Iesus cryed with a loud voyce, saying, Eli, Eli, lamasabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
um die neunte Stunde aber schrie Jesus auf mit lauter Stimme und sagte: Eli, eli, lama sabachthani? das ist: Mein Gott, mein Gott, warum hast du mich verlassen?
47 And some of them that stoode there, when they heard it, said, This man calleth Elias.
Als aber etliche der Dastehenden es hörten, sagten sie: Dieser ruft den Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and tooke a spondge, and filled it with vineger, and put it on a reede, and gaue him to drinke.
Und alsbald lief einer von ihnen und nahm einen Schwamm, füllte ihn mit Essig und steckte ihn auf ein Rohr und tränkte ihn.
49 Other said, Let be: let vs see, if Elias wil come and saue him.
Die Übrigen aber sagten: Halt, laßt uns sehen, ob Elias kommt, ihn zu retten!
50 Then Iesus cryed againe with a loude voyce, and yeelded vp the ghost.
Jesus aber schrie wiederum mit lauter Stimme und gab den Geist auf.
51 And behold, the vayle of the Temple was rent in twaine, from the top to the bottome, and the earth did quake, and the stones were cloue.
Und siehe, der Vorhang des Tempels zerriß in zwei Stücke, von oben bis unten; und die Erde erbebte, und die Felsen zerrissen,
52 And the graues did open themselues, and many bodies of the Saintes, which slept, arose,
und die Grüfte taten sich auf, und viele Leiber der entschlafenen Heiligen wurden auferweckt;
53 And came out of the graues after his resurrection, and went into the holy citie, and appeared vnto many.
und sie gingen nach seiner Auferweckung aus den Grüften und gingen in die heilige Stadt und erschienen vielen.
54 When the Centurion, and they that were with him watching Iesus, saw the earthquake, and the thinges that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truely this was the Sonne of God.
Als aber der Hauptmann und die mit ihm Jesum bewachten, das Erdbeben sahen und das, was geschah, fürchteten sie sich sehr und sprachen: Wahrhaftig, dieser war Gottes Sohn!
55 And many women were there, beholding him a farre off, which had folowed Iesus from Galile, ministring vnto him.
Es waren aber daselbst viele Weiber, die von ferne zusahen, welche Jesu von Galiläa nachgefolgt waren und ihm gedient hatten;
56 Among whom was Marie Magdalene, and Marie the mother of Iames, and Ioses, and the mother of Zebedeus sonnes.
unter welchen Maria Magdalene war und Maria, Jakobus' und Joses' Mutter, und die Mutter der Söhne des Zebedäus.
57 And when the euen was come, there came a riche man of Arimathea, named Ioseph, who had also himselfe bene Iesus disciple.
Als es aber Abend geworden war, kam ein reicher Mann von Arimathia, namens Joseph, der auch selbst ein Jünger Jesu war.
58 He went to Pilate, and asked ye body of Iesus. Then Pilate commanded ye body to be deliuered.
Dieser ging hin zu Pilatus und bat um den Leib Jesu. Da befahl Pilatus, daß ihm der Leib übergeben würde.
59 So Ioseph tooke the body, and wrapped it in a cleane linnen cloth,
Und Joseph nahm den Leib und wickelte ihn in reine, feine Leinwand,
60 And put it in his new tombe, which he had hewen out in a rocke, and rolled a great stone to the doore of the sepulchre, and departed.
und legte ihn in seine neue Gruft, die er in dem Felsen ausgehauen hatte; und er wälzte einen großen Stein an die Tür der Gruft und ging hinweg.
61 And there was Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie sitting ouer against the sepulchre.
Es waren aber daselbst Maria Magdalene und die andere Maria, die dem Grabe gegenüber saßen.
62 Nowe the next day that followed the Preparation of the Sabbath, the hie Priestes and Pharises assembled to Pilate,
Des folgenden Tages aber, der nach dem Rüsttage ist, versammelten sich die Hohenpriester und die Pharisäer bei Pilatus und sprachen:
63 And said, Syr, we remember that that deceiuer saide, while he was yet aliue, Within three dayes I will rise.
Herr, wir haben uns erinnert, daß jener Verführer sagte, als er noch lebte: Nach drei Tagen stehe ich wieder auf.
64 Command therefore, that the sepulchre be made sure vntill the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steale him away, and say vnto the people, He is risen from the dead: so shall the last errour be worse then the first.
So befiehl nun, daß das Grab gesichert werde bis zum dritten Tage, damit nicht etwa seine Jünger kommen, ihn stehlen und dem Volke sagen: Er ist von den Toten auferstanden; und die letzte Verführung wird ärger sein als die erste.
65 Then Pilate saide vnto them, Ye haue a watch: goe, and make it sure as ye knowe.
Pilatus [aber] sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt eine Wache; gehet hin, sichert es, so gut ihr es wisset.
66 And they went, and made the sepulchre sure with the watch, and sealed the stone.
Sie aber gingen hin und sicherten, nachdem sie den Stein versiegelt hatten, das Grab mit der Wache.
