< Matthew 22 >

1 Then Iesus answered, and spake vnto them againe in parables, saying,
Jisọs gwara ha okwu ọzọ nʼilu sị,
2 The kingdome of heauen is like vnto a certaine King which maried his sonne,
“Alaeze eluigwe dị ka otu eze, nke kwadoro oke oriri ọlụlụ di na nwunye, nʼihi nwa ya nwoke.
3 And sent foorth his seruants, to call them that were bidde to the wedding, but they woulde not come.
4 Againe hee sent foorth other seruants, saying. Tell them which are bidden, Beholde, I haue prepared my dinner: mine oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all thinges are readie: come vnto the mariage.
“O zipụkwara ndị ohu ya ọzọ na-ejere ya ozi ka ha gaa gwa ndị ahụ a kpọrọ oriri sị, ‘E dozichaala ihe oriri ugbu a, egburu m oke ehi, na anụ ọzọ gbara abụba. Edoziela ihe niile. Bịanụ nʼoriri ọlụlụ di na nwunye.’
5 But they made light of it, and went their wayes, one to his farme, and another about his marchandise.
“Ma ndị ahụ niile a kpọrọ oriri gawaara mkpa ha nʼihi na ha akpọghị ya ihe ọbụla. Otu onye gara nʼala ubi ya, nke ọzọ nʼụlọ ahịa ya.
6 And the remnant tooke his seruants, and intreated them sharpely, and slewe them.
7 But when the King heard it, he was wroth, and sent foorth his warriers, and destroyed those murtherers, and burnt vp their citie.
Onye eze ahụ were iwe nke ukwuu, zipụ ndị agha ya ka ha gaa laa ndị ogbu mmadụ ahụ nʼiyi, rechapụkwa obodo ha nʼọkụ.
8 Then saide hee to his seruants, Truely the wedding is prepared: but they which were bidden, were not worthy.
“Mgbe ahụ ọ gwara ndị ohu ya sị, ‘E doziela m oriri ọlụlụ di na nwunye, ma ndị a kpọrọ oku ekwesighị ekwesi.
9 Go ye therefore out into the high wayes, and as many as ye finde, bid them to the mariage.
Ugbu a, gaanụ nʼakụkụ ụzọ niile, kpọbatanụ ndị niile unu hụrụ, ka ha bịa nʼoriri ọlụlụ di na nwunye a.’
10 So those seruantes went out into the hie wayes, and gathered together all that euer they found, both good and bad: so the wedding was furnished with ghestes.
Ndị ohu ahụ pụrụ gaa nʼokporoụzọ niile kpọbata mmadụ niile ha hụrụ. Ha kpọbatara ndị bụ ezi mmadụ na ndị bụ ajọ mmadụ. Ụlọ oriri ahụ jupụtakwara na ndị a kpọrọ.
11 Then the King came in, to see the ghestes, and sawe there a man which had not on a wedding garment.
“Ma mgbe eze ahụ batara ileta ndị niile nọ na nri, ọ hụrụ otu nwoke nke na-eyighị uwe ọlụlụ nwunye.
12 And he sayd vnto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither, and hast not on a wedding garment? And he was speachlesse.
Ọ jụrụ ya ajụjụ sị, ‘Enyi m, i si aṅaa bata nʼebe a mgbe ị na-eyighị uwe ọlụlụ di na nwunye?’ O mechiri ọnụ ya nʼihi na o nweghị ihe ọ ga-asa.
13 Then sayd the King to the seruants, Binde him hand and foote: take him away, and cast him into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.
“Eze ahụ nyere ndị ozi ya iwu sị ha, ‘Keenụ ya eriri, aka na ụkwụ, tụpụkwanụ ya nʼezi, nʼime ọchịchịrị, ebe ịkwa akwa na ịta ikikere eze ga-adị.’
14 For many are called, but fewe chosen.
“Nʼihi na akpọrọ ọtụtụ mmadụ oku, maọbụ mmadụ ole na ole ka a họọrọ.”
15 Then went the Pharises and tooke counsell how they might tangle him in talke.
16 And they sent vnto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we knowe that thou art true, and teachest the way of God truely, neither carest for any man: for thou considerest not the person of men.
Ha zigara ndị na-eso ụzọ ha na ndị nʼotu Herọd ka ha jụọ ya sị, “Onye ozizi, anyị maara nke ọma na ị bụ onye eziokwu, na ị na-ezikwa ụzọ Chineke nʼeziokwu. Ị dịghị asọkwa onye ọbụla anya, nʼihi na ị dịghị ele mmadụ anya nʼihu nʼagbanyeghị ndị ha bụ.
17 Tell vs therefore, how thinkest thou? Is it lawfull to giue tribute vnto Cesar, or not?
Ugbu a gwa anyị, gịnị bụ uche gị? O ziri ezi nʼiwu ịtụ ụtụ nye Siza, ka ọ bụ na o zighị ezi?”
18 But Iesus perceiued their wickednes, and sayd, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
Ebe Jisọs maara ihe ọjọọ ha bu nʼobi, ọ zara sị ha, “Ndị ihu abụọ! Gịnị mere unu ji anwa m ọnwụnwa?
19 Shewe me the tribute money. And they brought him a peny.
Gosinụ m ego e ji akwụ ụgwọ ụtụ.” Ha wetaara ya otu mkpụrụ ego.
20 And he sayde vnto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
Aha onye kwa dị nʼokpuru onyinyo a?”
21 They sayd vnto him, Cesars. Then sayd he vnto them, Giue therefore to Cesar, the things which are Cesars, and giue vnto God, those things which are Gods.
Ha zara sị ya, “Ọ bụ nke Siza.” Mgbe ahụ ọ gwara ha sị, “Ọ dị mma. Nyenụ Siza ihe ruuru Siza, ma nyekwanụ Chineke ihe niile bụ nke ruuru Chineke.”
22 And when they heard it, they marueiled, and left him, and went their way.
23 The same day the Sadduces came to him (which say that there is no resurrection) and asked him,
24 Saying, Master, Moses sayd, If a man die, hauing no children, his brother shall marie his wife by the right of alliance, and raise vp seede vnto his brother.
Onye ozizi, “Mosis kwuru sị, ọ bụrụ na nwoke ọbụla anwụọ na-amụtaghị nwa, nwanne ya nwoke ga-alụrụ nwanyị ahụ di ya nwụrụ, ka ọ mụtara nwanne ya nwoke ahụ nwụrụ anwụ nwa.
25 Nowe there were with vs seuen brethren, and the first maried a wife, and deceased: and hauing none yssue, left his wife vnto his brother.
Ugbu a, e nwere ụmụnne nwoke asaa nʼetiti anyị. Onye nke mbụ lụrụ nwunye, nwụọ, ma ebe ọ dịghị ụmụ ọ mụtara, ọ hapụrụ nwanne ya nwunye ya.
26 Likewise also the second, and the third, vnto the seuenth.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
Nʼikpeazụ, nwanyị ahụ nʼonwe ya nwụkwara.
28 Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seuen? for all had her.
Ugbu a, nʼoge mbilite nʼọnwụ, nwunye onye ka nwanyị a ga-abụ, ebe ọ bụ na ụmụnne nwoke asaa ndị a lụtụchara ya mgbe ọ nọ nʼụwa?”
29 Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Ye are deceiued, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
Jisọs zara ha sị, “Unu na-ejehie ụzọ nʼihi na unu aghọtaghị ihe akwụkwọ nsọ na-ekwu. Unu aghọtakwaghị ụdị ike Chineke nwere.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marie wiues, nor wiues are bestowed in mariage, but are as the Angels of God in heauen.
Nʼihi na mbilite nʼọnwụ, ịlụ di na nwunye agaghị adịkwa, kama ha ga-adị ka ndị mmụọ ozi nʼeluigwe.
31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, haue ye not read what is spoken vuto you of God, saying,
Ma nʼihe banyere mbilite nʼọnwụ nke ndị nwụrụ anwụ, ọ bụ na unu agụtabeghị ihe Chineke gwara unu sị,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the liuing.
Mụ onwe m bụ Chineke nke Ebraham, Chineke nke Aịzik na Chineke nke Jekọb. Ọ bụghị Chineke nke ndị nwụrụ anwụ, kama ọ bụ nke ndị dị ndụ.”
33 And when the multitude heard it, they were astonied at his doctrine.
34 But when the Pharises had heard, that he had put the Sadduces to silence, they assembled together.
35 And one of them, which was an expounder of the Lawe, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is ye great commandement in the Lawe?
“Onye ozizi, olee iwu nke kachasị mkpa nʼime iwu niile?”
37 Iesus sayd to him, Thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soule, and with all thy minde.
Ọ zara sị ya, “‘Hụ Onyenwe gị bụ Chineke gị nʼanya site nʼobi gị niile na site na mkpụrụobi gị niile, na site nʼuche gị niile.’
38 This is the first and the great commandement.
Nke a bụ iwu nke mbụ, bụrụkwa iwu kachasị iwu niile.
39 And the second is like vnto this, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.
Iwu ọzọ na-eso nke a nʼịdị mkpa bụ nke a, ‘Hụ onye agbataobi gị nʼanya dị ka i si hụ onwe gị nʼanya.’
40 On these two commandements hangeth the whole Lawe, and the Prophets.
Iwu ndị ọzọ niile na ihe niile ndị amụma kwuru dabeere nʼebe iwu abụọ ndị a nọ.”
41 While the Pharises were gathered together, Iesus asked them,
Mgbe ndị Farisii gbakọrọ nʼotu ebe, Jisọs jụrụ ha,
42 Saying, What thinke ye of Christ? whose sonne is he? They sayd vnto him, Dauids.
“Gịnị ka unu na-eche banyere Kraịst? Nwa onye ka ọ bụ?” Ha zara sị ya, “Ọ bụ nwa Devid.”
43 He sayd vnto them, How then doeth Dauid in spirit call him Lord, saying,
Ọ sịrị ha, “Gịnị mekwaranụ Devid site na ntụziaka nke Mmụọ Nsọ jiri kpọọ ya ‘Onyenwe m’? Nʼihi na ọ sịrị,
44 The Lord sayd to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footestoole?
“‘Onyenwe anyị gwara Onyenwe m sị ya, “Nọdụ ala nʼaka nri m ruo mgbe m ga-edebe ndị iro gị nʼokpuru ụkwụ gị abụọ.”’
45 If then Dauid call him Lord, howe is he his sonne?
46 And none could answere him a worde, neither durst any from that day foorth aske him any moe questions.
Ọ dịghị onye pụrụ ịsa ya okwu. Sitekwa nʼụbọchị ahụ, ọ dịghị onye ọbụla nwere anya ike ịjụ ya ajụjụ ọzọ.
