Matthew 17
1 And after sixe dayes, Iesus tooke Peter, and Iames and Iohn his brother, and brought them vp into an hie mountaine apart,
Nakon šest dana uze Isus sa sobom Petra, Jakova i Ivana, brata njegova, te ih povede na goru visoku, u osamu,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the Sunne, and his clothes were as white as the light.
i preobrazi se pred njima. I zasja mu lice kao sunce, a haljine mu postadoše bijele kao svjetlost.
3 And beholde, there appeared vnto them Moses, and Elias, talking with him.
I gle: ukazaše im se Mojsije i Ilija te razgovarahu s njime.
4 Then answered Peter, and saide to Iesus, Master, it is good for vs to be here: if thou wilt, let vs make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
A Petar prihvati i reče Isusu: “Gospodine, dobro nam je ovdje biti. Ako hoćeš, načinit ću ovdje tri sjenice, tebi jednu, Mojsiju jednu i Iliji jednu.”
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloude shadowed them: and beholde, there came a voyce out of the cloude, saying, This is that my beloued Sonne, in whom I am well pleased: heare him.
Dok je on još govorio, gle, svijetao ih oblak zasjeni, a glas iz oblaka govoraše: “Ovo je Sin moj, Ljubljeni! U njemu mi sva milina! Slušajte ga!”
6 And when the disciples heard that, they fell on their faces, and were sore afraide.
Čuvši glas, učenici padoše licem na zemlju i silno se prestrašiše.
7 Then Iesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraide.
Pristupi k njima Isus, dotakne ih i reče: “Ustanite, ne bojte se!”
8 And when they lifted vp their eyes, they sawe no man, saue Iesus onely.
Podigoše oči, ali ne vidješe nikoga doli Isusa sama.
9 And as they came downe from the moutaine, Iesus charged them, saying, Shewe the vision to no man, vntil the Sonne of man rise againe from the dead.
Dok su silazili s gore, zapovjedi im Isus: “Nikomu ne kazujte viđenje dok Sin Čovječji od mrtvih ne uskrsne.”
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the Scribes that Elias must first come?
Upitaše ga učenici: “Što dakle pismoznanci govore da prije treba da dođe Ilija?”
11 And Iesus answered, and saide vnto them, Certeinely Elias must first come, and restore all thinges.
On im odgovori: “Ilija će doduše doći i sve obnoviti.
12 But I say vnto you that Elias is come alreadie, and they knewe him not, but haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they would: likewise shall also the Sonne of man suffer of them.
No velim vam: Ilija je već došao, ali ga ne upoznaše, već učiniše s njim što im se prohtjelo. Tako je i Sinu Čovječjemu trpjeti od njih.”
13 Then the disciples perceiued that he spake vnto them of Iohn Baptist.
Tada razumješe učenici da im to reče o Ivanu Krstitelju.
14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certaine man, and fell downe at his feete,
Kada dođoše k mnoštvu, pristupi mu čovjek, padne pred njim na koljena
15 And saide, Master, haue pitie on my sonne: for he is lunatike, and is sore vexed: for oft times he falleth into the fire, and oft times into the water.
i reče: “Gospodine, smiluj se sinu mojemu jer je mjesečar i zlo mu je. Često doista pada u oganj i često u vodu.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not heale him.
Dovedoh ga tvojim učenicima i ne mogoše ga izliječiti.”
17 Then Iesus answered, and said, O generation faithlesse, and crooked, how long now shall I be with you! howe long nowe shall I suffer you! bring him hither to me.
A Isus odgovori: “O rode nevjerni i opaki! Dokle mi je biti s vama! Dokle li vas podnositi! Dovedite mi ga ovamo!”
18 And Iesus rebuked the deuill, and he went out of him: and the childe was healed at that houre.
I zaprijeti Isus zloduhu te on iziđe iz njega. I ozdravi dječak toga časa.
19 Then came the disciples to Iesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
Tada učenici pristupiše nasamo k Isusu i rekoše: “Zašto ga mi ne mogosmo izagnati?”
20 And Iesus said vnto them, Because of your vnbeliefe: for verely I say vnto you, if ye haue faith as much as is a graine of mustarde seede, ye shall say vnto this mountaine, Remooue hence to yonder place, and it shall remoue: and nothing shalbe vnpossible vnto you.
Kaže im: “Zbog vaše malovjernosti. Zaista, kažem vam, ako imadnete vjere koliko je zrno gorušičino te reknete ovoj gori: 'Premjesti se odavde onamo!', premjestit će se i ništa vam neće biti nemoguće.”
21 Howbeit this kinde goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.
22 And they being in Galile, Iesus said vnto them, The Sonne of man shall be deliuered into the handes of men,
A kad su se skupili u Galileji, reče im Isus: “Sin Čovječji ima biti predan ljudima u ruke
23 And they shall kill him, but the thirde day shall he rise againe: and they were very sorie.
i ubit će ga, ali on će treći dan uskrsnuti.” I ožalostiše se silno.
24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that receiued polle money, came to Peter, and sayd, Doeth not your Master pay polle money?
Kad stigoše u Kafarnaum, pristupe Petru oni što ubiru dvodrahme pa mu rekoše: “Učitelj vaš ne plaća dvodrahme?”
25 He sayd, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Iesus preuented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whome doe the Kings of the earth take tribute, or polle money? of their children, or of strangers?
“Plaća”, odgovori. A kad on uđe u kuću, pretekne ga Isus: “Što ti se čini, Šimune? Kraljevi zemaljski od koga ubiru carinu ili porez? Od svojih sinova ili od tuđih?”
26 Peter sayd vnto him, Of strangers. Then said Iesus vnto him, Then are the children free.
Kad on odgovori: “Od tuđih!”, reče mu Isus: “Sinovi su, dakle, oslobođeni.
27 Neuerthelesse, lest we should offend them: goe to the sea, and cast in an angle, and take the first fish that commeth vp, and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt finde a piece of twentie pence: that take, and giue it vnto them for me and thee.
Ali da ih ne sablaznimo, pođi k moru, baci udicu i prvu ribu koja naiđe uzmi, otvori joj usta i naći ćeš stater. Uzmi ga pa im ga podaj za me i za se.”
