< Matthew 11 >

1 And it came to passe that when Iesus had made an ende of commaunding his twelue disciples, hee departed thence to teache and to preach in their cities.
Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí Jesu sì ti parí ọ̀rọ̀ tí ó ń sọ fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ méjìlá, ó ti ibẹ̀ rékọjá láti máa kọ́ni àti láti máa wàásù ní àwọn ìlú Galili gbogbo.
2 And when Iohn heard in the prison the woorkes of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and sayde vnto him,
Nígbà tí Johanu gbọ́ ohun tí Kristi ṣe nínú ẹ̀wọ̀n, ó rán àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀
3 Art thou he that shoulde come, or shall we looke for another?
láti béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Ṣe ìwọ ni ẹni tó ń bọ̀ wá tàbí kí a máa retí ẹlòmíràn?”
4 And Iesus answering, said vnto them, Goe, and shewe Iohn, what things ye heare, and see.
Jesu dáhùn ó wí pé, “Ẹ padà lọ, ẹ sì sọ fún Johanu ohun tí ẹ̀yin gbọ́, àti èyí tí ẹ̀yin rí.
5 The blinde receiue sight, and the halt doe walke: the lepers are clensed, and the deafe heare, the dead are raised vp, and the poore receiue the Gospel.
Àwọn afọ́jú ń ríran, àwọn amúnkùn ún rìn, a ń wẹ àwọn adẹ́tẹ̀ mọ́ kúrò nínú ẹ̀tẹ̀ wọn, àwọn adití ń gbọ́rọ̀, a ń jí àwọn òkú dìde, a sì ń wàásù ìyìnrere fún àwọn òtòṣì.
6 And blessed is he that shall not be offeded in me.
Alábùkún fún ni ẹni tí kò rí ohun ìkọ̀sẹ̀ nípa mi.”
7 And as they departed, Iesus beganne to speake vnto the multitude, of Iohn, What went ye out into the wildernes to see? A reede shaken with the winde?
Nígbà tí àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn Johanu ti lọ tán, Jesu bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í sọ fún ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn nípa ti Johanu: “Kí ni ẹ̀yin jáde lọ wò ní aginjù? Ewéko tí afẹ́fẹ́ ń mi?
8 But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that weare soft clothing, are in Kings houses.
Bí kò bá ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, kí ni ẹ̀yin lọ òde lọ í wò? Ọkùnrin tí a wọ̀ ni aṣọ dáradára? Rárá àwọn ti ó wọ aṣọ dáradára wà ní ààfin ọba.
9 But what went ye out to see? A Prophet? Yea, I say vnto you, and more then a Prophet.
Àní kí ní ẹ jáde láti lọ wò? Wòlíì? Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, mo wí fún yín, ó sì ju wòlíì lọ.”
10 For this is he of whom it is written, Beholde, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
Èyí ni ẹni tí a ti kọ̀wé rẹ̀ pé: “‘Èmi yóò rán ìránṣẹ́ mi síwájú rẹ, ẹni tí yóò tún ọ̀nà rẹ ṣe níwájú rẹ.’
11 Verely I say vnto you, among them which are begotten of women, arose there not a greater then Iohn Baptist: notwithstanding, he that is the least in the kingdome of heauen, is greater then he.
Lóòótọ́ ni mó wí fún yín, nínú àwọn tí a bí nínú obìnrin, kò sí ẹni tí ó tí í dìde tí ó ga ju Johanu onítẹ̀bọmi lọ, síbẹ̀ ẹni tí ó kéré jù ní ìjọba ọ̀run ni ó pọ̀jù ú lọ.
12 And from the time of Iohn Baptist hitherto, the kingdome of heauen suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Láti ìgbà ọjọ́ Johanu onítẹ̀bọmi títí di àkókò yìí ni ìjọba ọ̀run ti di à fi agbára wọ̀, àwọn alágbára ló ń fi ipá gbà á.
13 For all the Prophetes and the Lawe prophecied vnto Iohn.
Nítorí náà gbogbo òfin àti wòlíì ni ó sọtẹ́lẹ̀ kí Johanu kí ó tó dé.
14 And if ye will receiue it, this is that Elias, which was to come.
Bí ẹ̀yin yóò bá gbà á, èyí ni Elijah tó ń bọ̀ wá.
15 He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
Ẹni tí ó bá ní etí, kí ó gbọ́.
16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like vnto litle children which sit in the markets, and call vnto their fellowes,
“Kí ni èmi ìbá fi ìran yìí wé? Ó dàbí àwọn ọmọ kékeré tí ń jókòó ní ọjà tí wọ́n sì ń ké pe àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́ wọn:
17 And say, We haue piped vnto you, and ye haue not daunced, we haue mourned vnto you, and ye haue not lamented.
“‘Àwa ń fun fèrè fún yín, ẹ̀yin kò jó; àwa kọrin ọ̀fọ̀ ẹ̀yin kò káàánú.’
18 For Iohn came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a deuill.
Nítorí Johanu wá kò bá a yín jẹ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò mu, ẹ̀yin sì wí pé, ‘Ó ní ẹ̀mí èṣù.’
19 The sonne of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Beholde a glutton and a drinker of wine, a friend vnto Publicanes and sinners: but wisedome is iustified of her children.
Ọmọ Ènìyàn wá bá a yín jẹun, ó sì bá yin mu, wọ́n wí pé, ‘Ọ̀jẹun àti ọ̀mùtí; ọ̀rẹ́ àwọn agbowó òde àti àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀.’ Ṣùgbọ́n a dá ọgbọ́n láre nípa ìṣe rẹ̀.”
20 Then began he to vpbraide the cities, wherein most of his great workes were done, because they repented not.
Nígbà náà ni Jesu bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í bá ìlú tí ó ti ṣe ọ̀pọ̀ iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ̀ wí, nítorí wọn kò ronúpìwàdà.
21 Woe be to thee, Chorazin: Woe be to thee, Bethsaida: for if ye great workes, which were done in you, had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, they had repented long agone in sackecloth and ashes.
Ó wí pé, “Ègbé ni fún ìwọ Korasini, ègbé ni fún ìwọ Betisaida! Ìbá ṣe pé a ti ṣe àwọn iṣẹ́ ìyanu tí a ṣe nínú yín ní a ṣe ni Tire àti Sidoni, àwọn ènìyàn wọn ìbá ti ronúpìwàdà ti pẹ́ nínú aṣọ ọ̀fọ̀ àti eérú.
22 But I say to you, It shalbe easier for Tyrus and Sidon at the day of iudgement, then for you.
Ṣùgbọ́n mo wí fún yín, yóò sàn fún Tire àti Sidoni ní ọjọ́ ìdájọ́ jù fún yín.
23 And thou, Capernaum, which art lifted vp vnto heauen, shalt be brought downe to hell: for if the great workes, which haue bin done in thee, had bene done among them of Sodom, they had remained to this day. (Hadēs g86)
Àti ìwọ Kapernaumu, a ó ha gbé ọ ga sókè ọ̀run? Rárá, a ó rẹ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀ sí ipò òkú. Nítorí, ìbá ṣe pé a ti ṣe iṣẹ́ ìyanu tí a ṣe nínú rẹ ní Sodomu, òun ìbá wà títí di òní. (Hadēs g86)
24 But I say vnto you, that it shall be easier for them of the land of Sodom in the day of iudgement, then for thee.
Lóòótọ́ yóò sàn fún ilẹ̀ Sodomu ní ọjọ́ ìdájọ́ jù fún ìwọ lọ.”
25 At that time Iesus answered, and saide, I giue thee thankes, O Father, Lord of heauen and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and men of vnderstanding, and hast opened them vnto babes.
Nígbà náà ni Jesu wí pé, “Mo yìn ọ Baba, Olúwa ọ̀run àti ayé, nítorí ìwọ ti fi òtítọ́ yìí pamọ́ fún àwọn tó jẹ́ ọlọ́gbọ́n àti amòye, Ìwọ sì ti fi wọ́n hàn fún àwọn ọmọ wẹ́wẹ́.
26 It is so, O Father, because thy good pleasure was such.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, Baba, nítorí ó wù ọ́ láti ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀.
27 All things are giuen vnto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Sonne, but ye Father: neither knoweth any man ye Father, but the Sonne, and he to whom ye Sonne will reueile him.
“Ohun gbogbo ni Baba mi ti fi sí ìkáwọ́ mi. Kò sí ẹni tí ó mọ ọmọ bí kò ṣe Baba, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sí ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó mọ Baba, bí kò ṣe ọmọ, àti àwọn tí ọmọ yan láti fi ara hàn fún.
28 Come vnto me, all ye that are wearie and laden, and I will ease you.
“Ẹ wá sọ́dọ̀ mi gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ń ṣiṣẹ́ tí a sì di ẹrù wíwúwo lé lórí, èmi yóò sì fún yín ní ìsinmi.
29 Take my yoke on you, and learne of me that I am meeke and lowly in heart: and ye shall finde rest vnto your soules.
Ẹ gbé àjàgà mi wọ̀. Ẹ kọ́ ẹ̀kọ́ lọ́dọ̀ mi nítorí onínútútù àti onírẹ̀lẹ̀ ọkàn ni èmi, ẹ̀yin yóò sì ri ìsinmi fún ọkàn yín.
30 For my yoke is easie, and my burden light.
Nítorí àjàgà mi rọrùn ẹrù mi sì fúyẹ́.”
