Matthew 11
1 And it came to passe that when Iesus had made an ende of commaunding his twelue disciples, hee departed thence to teache and to preach in their cities.
येशूले आफ्ना बाह्र जना चेलालाई शिक्षा दिइसक्नुभएपछि तिनीहरूका सहरहरूमा सिकाउन र प्रचार गर्न उहाँ त्यहाँबाट जानुभयो ।
2 And when Iohn heard in the prison the woorkes of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and sayde vnto him,
अनि जब यूहन्नाले झ्यालखानाबाट ख्रीष्टले गर्नुभएका कामहरूको बारेमा सुने, उनले आफ्ना चेलाहरूद्वारा एउटा खबर पठाए,
3 Art thou he that shoulde come, or shall we looke for another?
र उनलाई भने, “के आउनुहुनेवाला तपाईं नै हुनुहुन्छ, वा कोही अर्कै मानिस हुनुहुन्छ जसको हामीले प्रतीक्षा गर्नुपर्छ?”
4 And Iesus answering, said vnto them, Goe, and shewe Iohn, what things ye heare, and see.
येशूले उत्तर दिनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूले जे देखेका र सुनेका छौ, गएर यूहन्नालाई बताइदेओ ।
5 The blinde receiue sight, and the halt doe walke: the lepers are clensed, and the deafe heare, the dead are raised vp, and the poore receiue the Gospel.
दृष्टिविहीनहरूले दृष्टि पाइरहेका छन्; लङ्गडा मानिसहरू हिँडिरहेका छन्; कुष्ठरोगीहरू शुद्ध पारिएका छन्; बहिरा मानिसहरूले फेरि सुनिरहेका छन्; मरेका मानिसहरूलाई फेरि जीवनमा फर्काइएको छ, अनि खाँचोमा परेका मानिसहरूलाई सुसमाचार सुनाइँदै छ ।
6 And blessed is he that shall not be offeded in me.
अनि तिनीहरू धन्यका हुन् जसले मलाई तिनीहरूका निम्ति कुनै बाधा सम्झँदैनन् ।”
7 And as they departed, Iesus beganne to speake vnto the multitude, of Iohn, What went ye out into the wildernes to see? A reede shaken with the winde?
जसै यी मानिसहरू आफ्नो बाटो लागे, येशूले भिडहरूलाई यूहन्नाको बारेमा बताउन थाल्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू उजाड-स्थानमा के हेर्न गयौ– हावाले हल्लाइरहेको निगालोलाई?
8 But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that weare soft clothing, are in Kings houses.
तिमीहरू के हेर्न बाहिर गयौ– मलमलको लुगा लगाउने मानिसलाई? वास्तवमा मलमलको कपडा लगाउने व्यक्ति त राजाहरूका दरबारहरूमा बस्छ ।
9 But what went ye out to see? A Prophet? Yea, I say vnto you, and more then a Prophet.
तर तिमीहरू के हेर्न बाहिर गयौ– के अगमवक्तालाई? हो, म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, अगमवक्ताभन्दा पनि महान् व्यक्तिलाई ।
10 For this is he of whom it is written, Beholde, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
उनी तिनै हुन् जसको बारेमा यस्तो लेखिएको छ, ‘हेर, म तिमीहरूको अगि-अगि मेरा समाचारवाहकलाई पठाउँदै छु, जसले म आउनुभन्दा अगाडि तिमीहरूका निम्ति बाटो तयार पार्नेछन् ।’
11 Verely I say vnto you, among them which are begotten of women, arose there not a greater then Iohn Baptist: notwithstanding, he that is the least in the kingdome of heauen, is greater then he.
साँच्चै म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, स्त्रीबाट जन्मेकाहरूमा बप्तिस्मा-दिने यूहन्नाभन्दा महान् अरू कोही छैन । तरै पनि स्वर्गको राज्यमा सबैभन्दा कम महत्त्वको मानिस उनीभन्दा महान् हुन्छन् ।
12 And from the time of Iohn Baptist hitherto, the kingdome of heauen suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
बप्तिस्मा-दिने यूहन्नाको दिनदेखि अहिलेसम्म स्वर्गको राज्यले तीव्रता भोगिरहेको छ, र उग्र मानिसहरूले यसलाई बलपूर्वक पक्रन्छन् ।
13 For all the Prophetes and the Lawe prophecied vnto Iohn.
किनकि यूहन्ना नआन्जेलसम्म सबै अगमवक्ता र व्यवस्थाले अगमवाणी गरिरहेका थिए ।
14 And if ye will receiue it, this is that Elias, which was to come.
अनि यदि तिमीहरूले एलियालाई पाउने इच्छा गरिरहेका छौ भने, आउनुपर्ने एलिया उनी नै हुन् ।
15 He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
जससँग सुन्ने कान छ, त्यसले सुनोस् ।
16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like vnto litle children which sit in the markets, and call vnto their fellowes,
यस पुस्तालाई म केसँग तुलना गरूँ? यो त बजारमा खेलिरहेका बालकहरूजस्तै छ, जो बस्दछ र एक अर्कालाई बोलाउँदछ,
17 And say, We haue piped vnto you, and ye haue not daunced, we haue mourned vnto you, and ye haue not lamented.
र भन्दछ, ‘हामीले तिमीहरूका निम्ति बाँसुरी बजायौँ, अनि तिमीहरू नाचेनौ । हामीले शोक गर्यौँ, र तिमीहरू रोएनौ ।’
18 For Iohn came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a deuill.
किनकि यूहन्ना रोटी खाँदै अथवा दाखमद्य पिउँदै आएनन्, अनि तिनीहरू भन्छन्, ‘त्यसलाई भूत लागेको छ ।’
19 The sonne of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Beholde a glutton and a drinker of wine, a friend vnto Publicanes and sinners: but wisedome is iustified of her children.
मानिसका पुत्र खाँदै र पिउँदै आए र तिनीहरू भन्छन्, ‘हेर, ऊ एउटा घिचुवा मान्छे हो अनि पियक्कड, कर उठाउनेहरू र पापीहरूको मित्र हो!’ तर बुद्धिचाहिँ तिनको कामहरूले सिद्ध हुन्छ ।”
20 Then began he to vpbraide the cities, wherein most of his great workes were done, because they repented not.
तब येशूले ती सहरहरूलाई हकार्न थाल्नुभयो जहाँ उहाँका धेरैजसो शक्तिशाली कार्यहरू भएका थिए, किनकि तिनीहरूले पश्चात्ताप गरेका थिएनन् ।
21 Woe be to thee, Chorazin: Woe be to thee, Bethsaida: for if ye great workes, which were done in you, had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, they had repented long agone in sackecloth and ashes.
“धिक्कार तँलाई, ए खोराजीन! धिक्कार तँलाई, ए बेथसेदा! यदि तँमा गरिएका शक्तिशाली कार्यहरू टुरोस र सीदोनमा गरिएका भए, तिनीहरूले धेरै पहिले नै भाङ्ग्रा र खरानी लगाएर पश्चात्ताप गरिसकेका हुने थिए ।
22 But I say to you, It shalbe easier for Tyrus and Sidon at the day of iudgement, then for you.
न्यायको दिनमा तिमीहरूका निम्ति भन्दा टुरोस र सीदोनको निम्ति इन्साफ अझ बढी सहनीय हुनेछ ।
23 And thou, Capernaum, which art lifted vp vnto heauen, shalt be brought downe to hell: for if the great workes, which haue bin done in thee, had bene done among them of Sodom, they had remained to this day. (Hadēs g86)
तँ कफर्नहुम, के तँ स्वर्गमा उचालिनेछस् भनी सम्झन्छस् । होइन, तँलाई तल पातालमा झारिनेछ । किनकि यदि तँमा गरिएका शक्तिशाली कार्यहरू सदोममा गरिएका भए, त्यो आजसम्म पनि रहिरहने थियो । (Hadēs g86)
24 But I say vnto you, that it shall be easier for them of the land of Sodom in the day of iudgement, then for thee.
तर म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, कि इन्साफको दिनमा तेरो निम्ति भन्दा सदोम मुलुकको निम्ति सजिलो हुनेछ ।”
25 At that time Iesus answered, and saide, I giue thee thankes, O Father, Lord of heauen and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and men of vnderstanding, and hast opened them vnto babes.
त्यस बेला येशूले भन्नुभयो, “पिता, म तपाईंको प्रशंसा गर्दछु । हे स्वर्ग र पृथ्वीका मालिक, किनभने तपाईंले यी कुराहरू बुद्धिमानी र समझदारहरूबाट लुकाउनुभयो, र ती अनपढलाई प्रकट गराउनुभयो जो साना बालकहरूजस्ता छन् ।
26 It is so, O Father, because thy good pleasure was such.
हो, पिता, किनकि तपाईंको दृष्टिमा यही नै मनपर्दो थियो ।
27 All things are giuen vnto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Sonne, but ye Father: neither knoweth any man ye Father, but the Sonne, and he to whom ye Sonne will reueile him.
मेरा पिताद्वारा सबै कुरा मलाई सुम्पिएको छ । अनि पिताबाहेक पुत्रलाई कसैले चिन्दैन, अनि पुत्र र पुत्रले प्रकट गराउन इच्छा गरेको व्यक्तिले बाहेक पितालाई कसैले चिन्दैन ।
28 Come vnto me, all ye that are wearie and laden, and I will ease you.
मकहाँ आओ, तिमीहरू सबै जसले परिश्रम गर्दछौ र गह्रौँ बोझले लादिएका छौ, अनि म तिमीहरूलाई विश्राम दिनेछु ।
29 Take my yoke on you, and learne of me that I am meeke and lowly in heart: and ye shall finde rest vnto your soules.
मेरो जुवा तिमीहरूमाथि लेओ र मबाट सिक, किनकि म नम्र र कोमल हृदयको छु, अनि तिमीहरूले आफ्नो आत्माको निम्ति विश्राम पाउनेछौ ।
30 For my yoke is easie, and my burden light.
किनकि मेरो जुवा सजिलो छ र मेरो बोझ हलुको छ ।”
